As a prospective new customer we drove and hour to this location as it was the closest to us when we got inside there was no one at the service desk and then an employee started yelling from across the store to us that they are not open to the public and that it says it outside on the building she didn't even have the courtesy to come over and talk to us about the membership or how to get one or offer us a tour to even see if it was a right fit I understand that its a free membership but how would someone get a membership with customer service like this I was soo flabbergasted we left and drove 1 mile up the road to The Restaurant Store and gave them our business instead and gladly paid for a membership fee I would not ever recommend this store read more

Tried calling them but once you are routed the rep it will take almost 20 mins and still they hang up! I ended calling them again but it became a cycle. My husband and I went to this store today and bought the necessary products. And we were served at the checkout by the name of JENNIFER (F/E MNGR). That's what's written on our check. During the service she was out of her mind, like she was lost. After the service we discovered that they had taken too much money from us. And we immediately checked all the goods and checks without leaving the checkout. The checks didn't match our goods. She took an extra $269 from our card. As if 10lb potatoes cost $269. Instead of $12.66 she took $282 from us. We immediately called a guy named STACEY (GASHIER) who was standing there checking the checks and told him everything about the situation. And he was also very rude to us. And he pretended not to understand what they were talking about. We proved it and showed the checks. and they were annoying 2-3 times. And he, like, doesn't want to solve our problem. In general, the employees themselves created this problem. In the end, he realized that it was their mistake and they should return our money. This guy STACEY does us a favor and says, look, I'll return your money. We don't understand why they shouldn't return our money that was their mistake. They steal other people's money in broad daylight and don't want to return it? What is this? What kind of outrage is this. This woman JENNIFER continued to watch us as if nothing had happened. She didn't come up to us, didn't ask, didn't apologize. Do they intend to do such things? We are not the first and won't be the last victim of them. They did such things before us and will do the same after us. Be careful, always check your receipts on the spot. Without leaving the cash register. While they are such illiterate and irresponsible people working there. You will also be deceived. Be vigilant. I do not recommend going there. The most terrible customer service ever, and the most disrespectful manager!!!!! I would think 10000000 times before ever purchasing meat from here. We purchased $400 worth of meat here, only to come home and see that it was bad when opened the packaging. The manager is a disgrace, he wouldn't even acknowledge us, forget even doing anything about it. I did report them to the DE Health Department and contacted Restaurant Depot headquarters. This manager doesn't belong there, where he works with employees and customer. Worst personality ever, put out his hand on my face to make me stop talking. Disgusting nasty person!!!! read more

This place is an absolute disgusting nightmare. The employees are very rude and the owner is worse! Saeed is very verbally abusive towards customers over price adjustments or simple inquiries. He doesn't respect other cultures or language barriers. One of the cashiers looked so high that she scanned other people's items from another cart and argued me down that it was my things! read more

Its sad how the customer service in the store changed . Been coming to this store since it opened up this is my account number 81002221 I spend over 2000 weekly here just in this account and do have other accounts for other businesses I almost go there every other day I usually get 70 to 80 loafs of bread lately when i go there most the bread is expired on the shelves so i asked one of the workers and he told me to go get it from the back so thats what i been doing for almost 8 weeks now today i was going back there i met one of the workers he was mad at me talking to me crazy why im back there i told him ok i get out and he was still talking crazy i told him bro u could to talk to me nice he steps down from the small thing he drive stood in my face like he want to fight with me i walked away went to the front door talking to the workers that i want talk to the manger . Manger came its the same guy who wanted to fight with me then he sees me and said u could get out my store i asked him this Q again why u talk to me this way he said because i feel like it . He said that right in the front of everybody by the way this guy is terrible in manging this location i will post for u guys over 30 accounts number with their complaints 30 business owners from our business group . Absolutely terrible customer service. Rude and incompetent employees/managers. They cause order issues and admit that it is their fault and then offer no solution on how to rectify the problem they created. On top of that they bad mouth the customer while they think the phone is on hold. read more

This place is awful. IF I COULD I WOULD GIVE IT A ZERO star rating. It is never stocked properly and they treat their customers like crap. THEY SHOULD FIRE THE MANAGER for unprofessional behavior and treating customers extremely poorly. My interaction to reconcile my bill from a couple of weeks ago had the manager mouthing off to me and being incredibly unprofessional. Along with losing a customer I am researching the filing of a class-action lawsuit as the issue I experienced has been experienced by "a lot of other" customers according to a pleasant employee whom tried to help me remedy my issue. I went there to return an item that I purchase from the store, the manager approved the return but, for me to the the money back on my card the lady told me that I had to go in the line to get the money put back on my card. What kind of nonsense is that, the person who did the return can complete my return. If you have a return be sure you have time to go back in line for you money. We spend an average of $600-$800 per week at various Restaurant Depot locations. Last week we shopped in Virginia Beach and purchased a small piece of equipment that was defective, no big deal, only $15.00. Today i was shopping in Wilmington DE. I attempted to return the defective unit, new in original package with receipt. The Manager on duty, Josh, refused the return. He said i needed to take it back where i bought it. When i said that it was over 200 miles each way his suggestion was to fly there. He then offered to credit my account for the $15.00, a perfectly acceptable solution. Only problem is that he walked away without doing the credit. Josh told me he did not care, clearly that is the truth! read more

I started shopping at this store about 3 years ago. Before ,I use to go to the one is South Philly which is a real dump, always understaffed and the employee turn over is like a revolving door. It takes for ever to get checked out as they never EVER have more than 2-3 registers open for checkout. When I started shopping in the Delaware store it was clean, well stocked and a real pleasure to shop at compared to the Philly location. Now if you are lucky you will get most of the products you went there for!! Most of the time they are either out of stock or the products are in the freezer so you have to ask someone to help you and about a half an hour later you may get you products. Im talking about products that are not special orders such as Bulk steak meat,chicken steak meat, sweet and Italian Italian sausage, Sunny D , basic items that are used everyday!! I dont even bother trying to get cheese sauce, ketchup, paper goods there anymore as they are usually out of half of them. I get those products from The Restaurant Store around the corner who always have the products in stock and much cheaper too.Im not one to complain as I realize that business has staffing problems, and get busy running out of stock from time to time. However, with this place its more normal to be out of stock on many products than it is to have the product in stock and displayed in its spot instead of in the back where no one can see it and then you have to wait for someone to bring it out for you. Another problem I have encountered many times is sign will say one price but when you bring it to the checkout it scans for more than the sign says!!! Two weeks ago one of the items I purchased was Monster energy in cans. A few days later we noticed a few cans were empty so the staff just tossed them. A few days later when an employee was loading the rest of the case in the cooler ,he noticed every can in the case had a small hole in the bottoms, so i took the remaining 20 cans back when I returned there to do my regular shopping. I was told we cant take the product back because we need the whole case. I explained that we never return products and thought it was only a couple cans then realized it was the whole case.
