My place was not suitable for living and nothing has been done about it since 4 months of moving in. Many better places for just a bit more rent in the area. I recommend living anywhere else.

    This apartment complex is the definition of a joke. I moved here in August expecting the "brand…read morenew" apartment's that they "built" but on move in day we were put into the old apartments. There are none of the amenities that they say they will have (There has been not one touch on construction since I have lived here). The office is rarely open when they say they are and spend most of their time who knows where. The shower tiles are all destroyed, most of the "flooring" is not actually cut right or it comes up when you step on it with bare feet, the caulking in almost every single room is coming apart or has been very badly done. There have been more problems with this apartment than there has been any good. In December, the internet went out all of a sudden during finals week. We went to the property manager because this was unacceptable as we are students. They told us they were having a "solution" to fix this problem. They lied to us completely about the "owners" sending a check. We have never met the owners but if you're reading this, you need to be doing better. We went on break and got back in January with still no internet. I took it upon myself to call spectrum and see what was going on and they told me that the account hadn't been paid since October of 2021 and was deactivated due to that. There is still no internet to this present day (February 26, 2022). In January, our water heater exploded and we had to ask them to bring fans in to dry out the water. We did not have clean water for over a week and were having to shower other places such as the university recreation center until we demanded that they give us somewhere here to take a shower and have drinkable water. This month (February) our dryer caught on fire. I called the office and even texted the number and all calls were declined and none of my messages made it to them. I ended up calling the emergency number because this was obviously an emergency and the guy was in Missouri and told us we would have to wait. Please save your time and don't live here. This complex has given us nothing but trouble and paying $675 a month is just absolutely ridiculous for what they "provide" to us. Find an apartment that actually cares about their residents and their wellbeing. Find an apartment that doesn't lie or come up with excuses about anything/everything they can just to get out of telling us the truth about what a scam this place. The manager, Pam, is super nice and gets back to you quickly, and she is very understanding and willing to work with you. The apartments are a little old but well maintained, and they are spacious. Having a bus stop nearby is really convenient for getting to campus quickly, and it's great to have the option of walking to campus if needed (only about 20 minutes, which makes for a great stroll in the morning). I wish I would have known about Wil-Ru sooner so I could have moved here instead of living in the student dorms while in college!

The quality of the units is on the more thrifty side of things, so there will be noise and the occasional repair required, but management is reasonably understanding and quick to address any issues I have brought up. Nancy in particular (the manager) has always taken care of any issues for me, and she's a big part of why I've continued to live in this complex. She is friendly and fair, and I couldn't ask for more out of the manager. I have lived in apartments in Richland, WA and Goleta, CA where I felt like a number on a spreadsheet and a check to cash every month to the renters, but here I feel the complete opposite largely because of Nancy. I'd also like to mention that I have interacted with Cindy (the owner) and Tony (maintenance), and both have been polite and professional. I had a few minor issues after moving into a larger unit (two dead outlets, a jammed front door lock, a broken window latch), and Tony fixed them all the day after I put in a maintenance request and in less than an hour in the unit to boot.

    At maple valley apartments they charged me for a screen door that was already messed up when I got…read morethe apartment and then when I called them, they offered to refund me 50% of the charge. They put in my address wrong and the check for the screen door bounced back then they sent me on a wild goose chase around Pullman trying to find where to pick the check up from. I was told two different locations and then told to wait 30 minutes because the manager with my check was not actually where they said she was and ended up returning to the location I was at in the first place. Like I don't have things to do ?!!! They are the ones who told me I could come pick it up and they are the ones who messed up the address in the first place. Terrible.
