When stepping inside, you can instantly see the rich heritage of this landmark location and the patrons that have long frequented it. I was on a specific hunt for a few vintage records and was very impressed with their selection and organization. The owner was more than helpful and friendly. One of the best parts of the experience was the transaction. I had five records and the owner gave me a very reasonable price. I appreciated the informality of the pricing and the long-forgotten feeling of what it is like to buy from an indecently owned business. Today, I found a very cool artistic anatomy poster, a yodeling pickle, and a lamp built out of a first-generation radio. That's a small cross-section of the kinds of things I usually find. Their selection of joke or retro mugs and other small gifts is excellent (I swear they're not all yodeling pickles) I also have always had good experience with service, very friendly greetings, upbeat descriptions of items they've got. Just today, I picked up said yodeling pickle and said aloud "Oh boy, I want to hit that button. But I know I'll regret it" "Oh no," the lady at the counter said cheerfully, "It's not that bad, do it." So I did, and the pickle yodeled convincingly, and it was indeed not that bad!
