I schedule tea for a few family members before wedding dress shopping with my daughter. We had a wonderful experience. The service was friendly and fantastic, a variety of tea options and delicious food. The savory options included egg salad on wheat bread, shrimp salad on a mini croissant, and marinated cucumber with cream cheese on toast. Everything tasted phenomenal but the cucumber toast was my favorite. The next layer were sweets, including a decadent chocolate fudge, flavorful lemon cake, macaroons, madeleines and fresh strawberries. The fudge and lemon cake were my favorites. The top layer, scones and clotted cream were perfect. We loved everything about this tea and plan to schedule my daughter's bridal shower here too!

This was my first stay in a bed and breakfast. Riverdale is large and spacious. Rooms are airy and have a feeling of cool comfort. The bed was so comfortable we have ordered the linens they had on the bed. They offer a made to order breakfast. I recommend the veggie omelette. There is a full bar set up for self service using the honor system. It was nice to have a mixed drink after walking around 5 points. It is located next to the Blue Orchid and we had a great dinner and walked home with full bellies and passed out in our wonderful bed. We had a great weekend and we may never stay in a hotel again.

We stayed at this bed and breakfast while visiting Jacksonville for a wedding and loved it! The room was very cozy and breakfast was delicious. They had a really cool self-service honor bar in the lobby. There were lots of books you could borrow to read--I was struck by the collection of fantasy novels! Someone with good taste must be curating the library we enjoyed relaxing on the second floor patio. Parking was easy and readily available, and the hotel was located in a great location by the river. Definitely want to come back!

Came here for mother/daughter tea for back to school. Have to call in to make a reservation and pay for the reservation at the time that you reserved. You are only served one type of tea and you received a platter of delicious sandwiches and treats for $25 per person. There is parking in the back which is nice because it can be hard to find parking in the Riverside area. The service was good as she would promptly refill tea cups when she saw they were getting low and answered any questions that we had. The scones and the cucumber sandwiches were my favorite.

We always wondered about this beautiful historic structure so we decided to make a reservation for their afternoon tea. They have a few choices on the type of package and we opted for the Traditional style. It came with egg salad sandwiches on white bread, chicken salad on mini croissants , cucumber and cream cheese on crostinis, scones and assortment of cookies and sweets. The tea was pleasant and our server was very friendly.

    Delicious veggie omelette!

Lovely bed and breakfast in a great location right by the river. Check in was super easy - I called ahead to let them know our expected arrival and they gave us the door code so we were able to get right in and grab our info and keys from the desk. Amazing breakfast made-to-order with friendly and super fast service. I stayed two nights and had the veggie omelette and the avocado toast. Both were delicious. The honor bar was a nice touch and the prices were very really. The area around is nice, right by the river and a nice little park right by. Some nice restaurants not too far. Parking at the bnb was super easy - definitely will be back!

This review is almost a year old (July 2023), but I just restarted my Yelp account. It's $25/person and you have to reserve 48 hours in advance. I would definitely do it again. Pictured is a table for one. They do parties too. Fascinator and pearls aren't necessary but I figured, why not.

This cute B&B located in Riverside offers an afternoon tea service. It was warm and welcoming inside with a great service and a nice view of Riverside Ave. The food was also delish; however, it was very skimpy. I was shocked at the amount of food offered for 2 people at the price charged. Adding at least a whole cut up sandwich and some fruit would round this out much better.

Great decision to stay at this historic home. Beautiful and well kept property. Sidney is a great host. The chef makes delicious breakfast choices. Bed was comfy in the St. John room. Thank you very much.

Fabulous Bed & Breakfast in beautiful oak shaded lush neighborhood just a mile from St Vincent's Hospital! Close to everything and away from the traffic mess and noise yet convenient access. Nice breakfast, best coffee ever and a nice bar. Private parking on property and a block from St John's River. Loved it!

So, does it really surprise anyone that on my thirty-ish or so minutes long break between my first day at the new co's Jacksonville headquarters, I use it to . . . Yelp?? Didn't think so. I already have things to say about this great FL city and what I've discovered so far!! My new employer is based right in the heart of historic Jacksonville, on lovely Riverside Ave amidst palms and magnolias, bougainvillea and historic homes. Love this place, already! Even better, the adorable Riverdale Inn is a block from the office and I get to stay here for two nights!! Itself a precious old home, it is the most charming B&B I have possibly ever seen. The back porch is set up almost like a grownup's tree house, with patio tables and a charming cocktail-party-like inviting presentation. Inside, a cozy living room welcomes you if you use the back entrance, and the rest of the downstairs includes a nifty little pub adjacent to the Inn's restaurant, The Row, where full breakfast is served daily and dinner is nightly from 5pm on. Wireless is free and some rooms even have modem connection in case you need that, and I'm taking a break before our business dinner to write this . . . wearing one of the plush white robes I discovered on the back of the bathroom door! They also have a desktop with open access and a snazzy flat screen in that "living room" part I previously described. How cool!!! Classic and modern- unbeatable combination. I know where I'll be staying on all future visits to town! Prices ($119/night) are business-travel reasonable, too. The bathrooms, by the way, are as modernly-appointed as the rooms and whole place are cute and charming- the perfect combination. Even better? The whole Inn is nonsmoking! Will have to report back on the food and pub, but had to mark my Jacksonville debut right away!!

Well we didn't have time to enjoy their honor bar, they do have plenty of different places to congregate or lounge on the first floor.

For our…read morefirst night of our vacation, we decided we'd stop in Jacksonville, since Jacksonville is right inside the Florida border. We arrived at our hotel and went to the front desk to check in. I noticed immediately that the front desk associate was not alone, he was with a security guard that had a gun on her belt. This was a little frightening, like why do they need all of this added security? I wondered. Luckily, we didn't need a gun to stay here. We didn't get bothered at all. It was actually a pretty peaceful location. The only problem we really had was with our room keys. They would not work on the door to our room. We had to go try to find the front desk people again after this happened, and they weren't around. Finally, the front desk associate starts walking by us outside. We told him about our room keys not working. He asked if we put them by our cellphones... apparently that deactivates the room key. The room was nice and clean. It had a small kitchen area with the normal hotel microwave and refrigerator. There were cabinets in the kitchen area that had plates and a few other dishes. It seemed like there should be more there, as if this place used to be studio apartments or something. What I liked about the room was that it had two doors, one in the front and one in the back. The front door went out to the parking lot. The back door has a small patio area by it. It also leads to the pool area. Overall, this hotel was a comfortable place to stay. We didn't run into any issues with anyone staying at the hotel. No one was loud except housekeeping in the morning. We slept soundly without worrying about a thing. Safety is key to a happy vacation. I think this place was very safe. I would consider staying here again.

There's stains on the bed sheets, they don't have comforters, there's ants, the ac/heater doesn't work, there's pubes on the washcloth, they have no directory to the room phone so you have to call the front desk via cell phone, the WiFi is non existent as I'm having to use my data to get anything to load and the "kitchen" is horrid. We weren't looking for the Marriott quality and we're only here for the night but google gave this place 3.9 stars, and the photos looked decent for the price (similar to a red roof) but this place is worth $25 a night not $60. 100% a crack den just with a fresh slab of paint
