At 55; still love to do things myself, but I can't do everything and I hate taking my cars to dealerships. Next best thing is to find a good independent mechanic. Luckily I happened to find CLTMobile online! I actually invested in a mobile brake repair business about 3 years ago but have often thought how great a full service mobile mechanic would be! I messed up an electrical connection on one of my cars by accident doing some service on it. I could not fix it. My wife needed that car for work within a few days and my time was limited during that time to get it somewhere to get fixed. I called CLTmobile and got an appt booked right away. Mechanic came on time; he was super nice and very knowledgeable. He did a terrific job at a very affordable price! I will definitely be using them for all my automotive needs going forward that I can't fix myself. I love seeing the younger generation building a great and much needed business like this in Charlotte.

I was quoted 158 for this job the day prior over the phone and I confirmed at the start of the appointment if that would be the price. My brakes were in poor shape, missing a brake pad on one side and the mechanics spent an extra 15-20 mins working on my cylinder. At the end of the job, Chris informed me that they got air on the line and would have to bleed the brakes. (I've always had my brakes bled at the end of any brake job so this is standard for me to have done whenever I get my breaks done. They told me this would be an extra 120 dollars at the end of the job. My father is a mechanic and said that price was a little high just to bleed the brakes and was very familiar with the procedure. He told me "go call your dad and ask him to send you more money." When I asked if they could take 20 bucks off and knock the price down to 100 from 120 he asked me to tell him how old I was which I thought was rude and uncalled for. I told him I was 30 and he proceeded to say "wow you look 18" and said "one day you're going to have to learn that everything in life isn't free sweetheart." When I went to his office to pay he also said I'm going to have to buy him lunch because they spent extra time working on my car than they planned. Disgusting behavior. I would not recommend this shop to any woman (or really anyone) unless you want to be taken advantage of and upsold. They ended up bleeding one brake so my car would be somewhat drivable. My interior dashboard was also scratched up when I got my car back from them.

They were able to schedule me in on short notice, diagnosing it as a warranty covered issue. I was able to delay repair until we returned home. Andrew and his team are THE greatest. This is, by FAR, the best place I've ever taken my car to. For many years before moving north, he provided great service for my vehicles. Always straight-up, no BS, no upselling, just plain facts about what your car does and doesn't need. Repairs were always perfect and well-priced. Not to mention the fact that Andrew is just a great guy in general. He truly cares about making sure your vehicle is in good shape but he also genuinely cares about his customers. After I left town, my mom continued to take her car to him for service. I appreciate the fact that he always treated her like family. Every visit was pleasant and she always called me to let me know that he asked her about me and my family. Mom is now up north with us.
