Such a beautiful B&B in the heart of Cheboygan Falls. The owners are so gracious and the Inn is very well kept. They have captured the essence of a historic traditional bed and breakfast, and we would highly recommend this place to stay to anyone traveling to the Sheboygan, The Falls, or Kohler. Wow. What a totally unexpectedly pleasant surprise! This place is SUCH a cute little gem tucked away in the historic part of town. I'm from Chicago and got stuck in the area for work so needed to book a hotel last minute. This one has the highest review rating (albeit not a high volume of reviews) so I gave them a call. I stayed in a two story suite for a price that is less than a basic single king room in most chain hotels. I felt it has a very European feel and I loved it. - two blocks from two gas stations for any last minute emergency items you might need - similar distance to restaurants - the best smelling bar soap I have smelled in a hotel, or possibly ever in my life - if only they had carts I could steal another one off of - a selection of teas, which included chamomile! I have a hard time finding that kind in most hotels - fridge and freezer that are actually cold (and included bottled water) - the entire place is extremely clean. The owners are obviously meticulous and that's the best hotel owner you can really hope for. Hotels gross me out so I tend to inspect bedding and towels and it all was spotless and the towels felt very new. No carpet stains, no scratches on the walls - breakfast (2 choices) delivered to your room at your requested time As a single female I was apprehensive to stay in a hotel where staff does not stay overnight, but I felt very safe in a well lit location and there are plenty of locks. Such a lucky find!! I will absolutely plan the same meeting schedule next time for work, specifically so that I can stay here. Thank you!! read more

I traveled up to Sheboygan for business, and rather than staying at a chain hotel, I gave this place a try. I notified them of my late check-in and they gave clear instructions on how to get my keys and get into the room. The room had lots of charm and I loved the decor. The bed was comfortable and I slept very well. The shower head could have been better, but that's a tiny detail. I requested a vegetarian breakfast for 8am. I came to the lobby and was served an AMAZING almond-crusted French toast along with lots of fresh fruit and coffee. If up in the area again, I will definitely pick this place over a chain hotel. read more

The Rochester Inn was Delightful! We went for our first anniversary. As a nurse, I was very concerned about traveling during Covid. From my first conversation with Kelly, the owner, I felt at ease. She described their Covid practices that were in place (Masks, gloves, breakfast delivered to your room, instead of the communal dining room, contactless check in, etc). Our suite was darling. Extremely clean. It was beautifully decorated, fitting for a 100 year old B & B, quite comfortable and not stuffy. The living room of our suite was on one floor and the bedroom and bathroom was upstairs. The 2 person whirlpool bathtub was quite relaxing. The linens were luxurious. The bed was quite comfortable. The homemade breakfasts were delicious. The smells lofting from the kitchen, had our mouths watering, and shortly it was delivered to our suite. Kelly and her staff were very kind, welcoming, and helpful. There is a beautiful garden in the back yard with a lovely outdoor sitting area. The homemade cookies in the afternoon were a lovely touch. The only criticisms that I would have is 1) the beds are all queens. We have a king at home, and would have preferred a kind. I don't suppose king sized beds were around 100 years ago, though. LOL. And 2) there was a lovely, large triangle leaded glass window above the bed, that did not have a window covering. So the sun woke us up quite early. Due to it's size and location, I am sure it would be hard to find a solution, as it is quite pretty, and creates lovely prisms when the sun hits it. But at 6:00 am, we didn't find it quite so charming, when we were awakened by the sun, on our days off. We found wonderful restraints near by - The Blind Horse Winery and BlackWolf Run were both terrific, with beautiful, relaxing, outdoor dining options (a Covid must for us) We would like to come back. We will inquire about a "darker" room. Maybe by then, there may even be a suite with a king bed. read more

A gem of a B&B in every way. The 1848 building has been meticulously restored and maintained. Updates offer modern comfort without taking away from its historic integrity. Owner Kelly York was a welcoming host yet not at all intrusive. Innkeeper Audrey Schmeling prepared delicious home cooked breakfasts, which she served to us on-the-dot in our room. Her cookies are delicious as well! Sheboygan Falls is a quaint, quiet town. It's about a 3-minute drive from Kohler, and maybe 10 minutes from Sheboygan and the lakefront. I made a reservation at this bed and breakfast after an internet search for B&B's near Koehler, WI. Being from Illinois, we were looking for a little weekend getaway in a quaint town in Wisconsin a few hours away for a birthday celebration. We had no pre-conceived notions going up to this property except for a Victorian vibe with a breakfast and private bathroom and cleanliness. The Rochester Inn delivered big! They hit it out of the park. The two-story suite we had was quaint with nice touches: keurig coffee maker, basket of assorted k-cup selections to choose from, wet bar, televisions upstairs and downstairs, a bookshelf with lots of books to peruse, DVDs in a glass cabinet in the hallway, large jetted tub that comfortably fit my almost 6 ft. frame, and my partner's 6'5" frame, aromatic bath salts, lots of towels, and a comfortable four poster queen bed. The service was exceptional. The proprietor delivered our breakfast to our room and it was phenomenal. There was a crock of herbed eggs with Canadian bacon on the bottom, fresh fruit assortment, a flaky croissant with a yummy apple cinnamon jam, and orange juice. I think something else was included, but I can't remember. We were extremely pleased with this unexpected B&B choice and highly recommend it for any couple's getaway or a treat yourself weekend! We stayed here for our baby moon. The location was convenient and within walking distance to restaurants. The rooms are cozy and have a ton of character. The breakfast was incredible! Best French toast we've ever had. I loved that the room had a ton of books in it. From the history of Wisconsin to a book on horses. My husband and I traveled to Wisconsin for the first time, for a wedding. The resort hotels didn't really appeal to me or our lifestyle. The bride-to-be, who grew up in Sheboygan Falls, suggested the Rochester Inn. I fell in love with it online, and the place in person didn't disappoint. We booked a garden suite and loved having our own private entrance. The sitting room was comfy, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was to die for (vintage nerd here!). Hot water was always immediate, shower pressure adequate, everything was always clean and functional. The only negative was an ongoing issue with the door lock. It was very temperamental and a couple of times we had to ask for assistance in getting in to our room. The location was perfect. We enjoyed poking around the shops in the historic downtown and eating at the delicious restaurants. I must say, Evans is a kitschy extravaganza not to be missed! The breakfasts were delicious, with lovely presentation. Having a keurig in-room was very handy, so as not to inflict myself on others "pre-caffeine". All in all, our first visit to Wisconsin was a wonderful experience. We'd gladly come back, and when we do, we'll be staying at the Rochester Inn. read more

I stayed at this fantastic establishment back in January and I still find myself thinking of it from time to time. I arrived super late due to delayed flights and not only were they super accommodating, but I had fresh oatmeal raisin cookies waiting in my room for me. Now I know what you're thinking, oatmeal raisin cookies are the worst cookies... but these blew me away. They provided me with a key to the main lobby where I could get more... and boy did I get more. Also there were new chocolate chip cookies waiting for me when I returned the next day. Is there such thing as too many cookies? I don't think so. The room was super cozy and comfortable, and the provided soaps and shampoos were awesome. There was a small "faux" electric fireplace in my room that provided some nice heat during the chilly january nights. Also, the breakfast each morning was delightful and a great way to start the day. Location suited my needs perfectly for my trip. Overall an excellent experience and if I ever find myself in the area again, this is 100% where I will be staying. I implore anyone booking a trip around Sheboygan/Sheboygan Falls to stay here. You won't regret it, other than dreaming about delicious cookies for months after your stay that is. read more

I am what some call a road warrior, spending 125-140 nights per year in a hotel. A friend and colleague suggested the Rochester Inn in place of my usual Marriott program. So glad that I did. Ask for larger room, with a living room and then a walk up bedroom! Their inn is perfectly situated near great cycling trails, a lovely (if little) riverwalk and a quaint downtown. This is a gem of an Inn. The two level suites are nicely appointed and make you want to kick up your feet and relax. After a long day of driving or trekking the whirlpool baths are a welcome amenity; that they fit two is an added bonus. The breakfast is very, very good. We had freshly squeezed OJ, almond crusted French toast, sausage, fruit and excellent coffee. If weather permits have your breakfast out in the small garden. The proprietor knows the area extremely well and is very professional. My wife and I have stayed at the American Club nearby and this is a superior value. It will be our Inn of choice from now on. Oh, if you can, book your reservation directly through the Inn. The booking web-sites charge an arm and a leg for the use of their service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We have been to some bed and breakfast places that are so nostalgic, they really mean dated, old, and musty. This place was clean, roomy, interesting, and updated. Everything about the inn itself was fantastic, including the food and the innkeeper. The only reason it is not a 5 for me is because of the exact location, which is just off of downtown. Built in the 1840s, it is where it is. But it is a short walk to the downtown area and some park views of the falls. We will be back! I recommend the two story suite, as it has a seating area, then up another stair case you find the bedroom and spacious, updated bathroom. read more
