This is, in my opinion, a special church…read more I've been sporadically attending Unity Myrtle Beach for several years now, and, again and again, I have been impressed, by the services and the congregation alike. The church's format is logical and effective, with good, relevant discussion throughout. Also, there's a full, talented band, which adds much to the program. Likewise, the speakers are consistently of high character, imparting as much humanity (and, often, humor) as knowledge; never once have I sensed a charlatan on the Unity stage. Indeed, the Unity services are lively, intelligent, and poignant, as to offer a polished and tasteful experience. However, what sets Unity MB apart is not readily seen or heard. Yes, the overt activities are meaningful and enjoyable in their own right; but, for me, the church's true value lies in the sheer amount of wisdom presented therein. Almost without exception, every service I've attended has contained some amount of real, powerful truth, of the kind rarely encountered in a public venue. These truths may be subtle, and only read from "between the lines" of the service, perhaps to be inferred only after the fact; but, nonetheless, they are there (when, in so many other churches, such truth is painfully absent). So, I am highly grateful for Unity Myrtle Beach and those who operate it, for the spiritual nourishment provided to me and others. Keep up the good work :-)

They truly mean it when they say they are a church that is focused on healing hurts and transforming the lives of people through the love of Jesus. Growing up Southern Baptist and meeting my wife at a Pentecostal Holiness Church, I wasn't so sure how an "Anglican" Church was going to be. Through worship at St. Paul's I have come to know Jesus deeper. From small groups, reading the Common Book of Prayer, bible studies, serving the community, communion and pastoral care through some of hardest times of my family life. Through the work of the Holy Spirit all three of my children have come to know Jesus and be baptized since attending St. Paul's. They have enjoyed the children's programs growing up and are active in their youth group. New to town or your family has been in Horry County for centuries, Come and see what the Lord is doing. It was full and the service varied in the music style. Again, the people we met were just super. We have also attended an Easter event, and the Memorial Day weekend picnic held at a member's house. The church offered bus service from the parking lot to the home since parking would be tight. In my experience this is not a church walking the path of Christ, or encouraging believers to…read moredeeper relationship through faith and trust. There are several public stories of the financial path of this place in Google, and I guess I would point out the simple nature that is reflected in this scripture from John 15:2 "He[God] cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunesa so that it will be even more fruitful." While I have no judgement of the endgame, my observation is that much has been cut off in the present. My personal experience here is that of abusive language and excessive metaphor thrown about by the head pastor in my direction. I received verbal coercion to align my convictions with their opinions. In the process of trying to 'mediate' a difference in opinion between myself and the mother of my children, the pastor told me directly that I did not "deserve" my son and daughter. It was at that point that I realized the coercive forces were not in line with scripture, my conscience, or the goal of peacemaking held out by Christ and his words. Whatever good intentions religious people may have, it is not the way of Christ to be divisive, or coercive with guilt as the main tool. I pray you do not have this experience here, but that you are filled with the spirit of the living God for worship, relationship, and positive change in the world.

The church is pretty large with an attached school and community center. It actually covered the end of the block between the two avenues. There appeared to be plenty of parking all around the facility. It is also easy to reach since it fronts Kings Highway between 30th and 31st avenues. So what I observed, it appears to be a nice full service church facility.
