It's ironic that they carry such a vast amount of kitschy made-in-China crap, especially when so much of it touts ultra-right conservative, "patriotic" sentiment. I left the store feeling disappointed, offended, and just downright sad. Because I still have family in the Black Hills, I will come back often for visits, but will never spend another dollar in the store I once loved.

They must have enough business to be comfortable treating and losing customers this way. Running out of these types of meds is playing with fire.

I ordered a rock tumbler from The Rock Shed and paid $279 for it. The tumbler came with three very small plastic bags of grit (a few ounces). A letter with the tumbler stated, "Our grit packs for vibrating tumblers include 2 pounds of 120/220 grit, 1 pound of 500 F aluminum oxide grit, and 1 pound of aluminum oxide polish. I emailed The Rock Shed and asked if they had shipped the 4 pounds of grit separately. They implied they didn't send any letter. I took a picture of the letter and sent it to them. They responded, "That is a tip sheet that we do give out to people who either buy our grit packs or who buy a tumbler." I replied, I bought a tumbler from you, where is the grit pack? The Rock Shed person wrote, they only give the few ounces I had received. I told them they should send the 4 pounds they promised. They replied, "I'm not sure why you are being so hard on me about this." I was being hard on them because I don't like being ripped off! I gave up, I'll never do business with The Rock Shed again. read more
