My husband and I spent oodles of dollars there over the years. I have since moved from the area, and on a recent visit "back home," I was dismayed at the changes to what used to be a charming little store, and a real gem in the Black Hills. The business was recently sold, and the new owners have turned it into a pitiful version of the charming business it was for years and years. They got rid of all of the vintage antiques. They now devote almost half of the store to fabric and quilting supplies. It's ironic that they carry such a vast amount of kitschy made-in-China crap, especially when so much of it touts ultra-right conservative, "patriotic" sentiment. I left the store feeling disappointed, offended, and just downright sad. Because I still have family in the Black Hills, I will come back often for visits, but will never spend another dollar in the store I once loved.

Scored a FABULOUS leather riding jacket for my Mister, a wool skirt by Liz Claiborne for my mom, and then rehoused the owners stuffed brown bear for $20.00. The best part is that the owners son works in law enforcement. So we thank him for his service, and his wonderful mom for the great finds.

They are so nice, helpful and efficient. Mom is at the shop sawing, Dad is in the mobile sawing truck and the kids are helping mom in the workshop. They "saved" my old motorcycle vest by fixing the collar and pockets. I couldn't be more happy with their service. All their new items are creatively designed and carefully crafted.
