Getting there: Located at 9995 W McDowell Rd Suite 108, it's easy to find and there's plenty of parking available. Experience: If you're looking for an exciting and challenging escape room experience, The Room Escape Games in Avondale is a must-visit. My mom and I recently tried the golden treasure escape room (not sure if that's what it was actually called), and it was a blast! We were able to solve the first two rooms, but unfortunately, we ran out of time before we could finish the third. The puzzles were challenging but not impossible, and the room was well-designed and immersive. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they did a great job of setting the scene and building excitement. One hour is definitely not enough time to solve all three rooms, but we're so competitive that we're already planning our next visit. Overall, I highly recommend The Room Escape Games for a fun and engaging activity with friends or family.

Great time! 5 of us attempted the Treasure Island escape room and I am happy to report that we escaped!! Woohoo!! It's pricey to play- but most things are these days!!

    This TV was our lifeline:D

Honestly didn't know what to expect other than knowing we would be stuck in a room for an hour together! We did Blackout Motel and I highly recommend it. Very clean, friendly staff, lots of photo ops and even a place to "hang" inside if you get there a little early.

This place is amazing! I'm so glad to see an escape room on the west finally. From the moment you walk in, this place is much different than the rest. I feel like everywhere you go, there is an empty room with a desk to check you in. This place is decorated properly and has a nice waiting area. Our group didn't drink but I still think it's a good idea to have drinks for those who would like it. We did the Blackout Motel and it was great. Usually you get some form of story in escape rooms but this was the first time I felt submerged into the story and actually felt like I was a character in it. The host was actually really funny and had a great attitude from beginning to end, you can tell she likes her job. I would definitely come back to try the other rooms and I would recommend anyone come here to try it out.

We brought our Cadette Girl Scout troop here for a fun outing and it did not disappoint! We were able to fit all 10 girls plus two adults in the room at the same time, which was a selling point for us. The girls successfully completed the Treasure Island room with time to spare. It was very organized and the young woman who was the staff support was very helpful. The girls had a great time!

Our group had an awesome time. It was clean and the room was hard but not too hard where it was frustrating. The ambiance was great!

Ask the Community - The Room Escape Games

Whats the least amount of people that can participate in an escape room?

It depends on the establishment. I've been with one other person, my party of 3 and a party of 4 was in our group and recently with our party of 5 alone. Personally, the more the merrier. It's nice to have more people trying to solve the puzzles, no…

Because there were different rooms I'm definitely curious what other games were in the other room so I'll surely come back for more :) This is definitely a great spot for family, friends, or even work activities. They offered space for catering and sell soft drinks as well as adult beverages for a reasonable price. Bathrooms are very clean and also single person rooms. Really good AC and clean environment. I would highly recommend this as an alternative to the common alternative dave and b's or escape rooms etc. for some adult fun! Plus you get to use your noggin!

Kinda seemed like escape rooms would be the worst thing on the planet for me. But a friend loves the cyberpunk-esque vibes, and I was going to swallow my hatred to try my first escape room here with the Immersive Machine. I leave the experience virtually speechless. (No spoilers here, so read away!) Why it was great for two people new to escape rooms: -You can book the place solo. You don't need to be partnered with strangers who are going to speed run the place. -There is no clock anywhere. Time flies (serously, wow, it went so fast), but you aren't feeling rushed. -I was worried about it, but there aren't any "HOLYSHIT GO FAST YOU'RE GONNA DIE" vibes like some of the "escape to live" ones I've been told about. There's an alarm going off when you first get there, but it's like, a casual alarm that just reminds you that it's going off every 5 minutes or so with a light "beep". Like a friendly alarm. Nothing in here is on a time limit, constantly flashing, or constantly making noise. Nothing is designed for a panic response. This was huge for me. -The gamemaster's involvement is fluid and very immersive in the universe (but they're not in the room), so if he sees you're struggling, he steps in, in-character, to gently guide you without making you feel stupid. -Puzzles make sense, but they're also just really fun. It was a lot more of paying attention to the room's details and exploring the space than trying to solve a Rubik's cube or a slide puzzle. There were a few moments that required some actual hard, focused thought, but most of it was trying to pull together details of the space and alternative universe you're in (that are all easily available if you look around again). -There is nothing to memorize or "called back" throughout the place. You don't need to remember something that was told to you 50 minutes ago or else you can't finish it; everything you need is always easily accessible, and all the puzzles are "solve it and move on". We started by taking tons of notes on our phones just in case, and we abandoned that quickly since it wasn't necessary. -You mostly stay in the same areas, so you can put down waters or drinks and take breaks as needed. It doesn't cut you off of any of the areas, so you don't have to stress about constantly moving. -We finished it, two person, in under the average time, despite never having done an escape room in our lives. Why it was great, overall, in general: -The "alternate universe" makes it a lot more fun. At one point, you'll get to see a calendar the team made, complete with holidays and other details specific to this universe that doesn't exist in ours. It's these small touches that made me super excited (and sad I couldn't just sit and read them). -The gamemaster (Randy, I think?)'s personality was absolutely amazing. He was super friendly, and getting into his character really made it easier for us to feel okay getting into them too. -I'm not super into LARPing or playing pretend, but if you wanted to, there are free costumes and the over-the-top vibe of the gamemaster makes you feel less silly about trying it for yourself. -There's a little personified "friend" that pretty much everyone is going to fall in love with. I now think I love escape rooms, but I'm not sure any other escape room will ever compare to The Immersive Machine. There's no way for me to go but down; there's no way any other escape room will be as good as Immersive Machine was. It entirely converted me, and now I think escape rooms are the coolest thing ever. I see why it has a straight 5 stars on every review platform AND wins annual awards from the escape room social network. This is amazing.

It's such a fun way to get some exercise in. I was sweating within 10 minutes of starting play. One thing that surprised me was what I feel like were new rooms and concepts. If my memory is not failing me and they are actually new rooms, that is very cool to know that they're always being updated and you can have new experiences despite having been before. Even if not, it's still a great place that I would frequent. I just need them in Tucson and I would have a monthly membership! There are a couple of things I think they can do to improve. For one, they should have benches, for those who may need a break from going into the rooms. I know the Atlanta one I went to did have benches. I also feel that there should be a water fountain. Should they add these things, I think it would really be the perfect place! (they are also losing out by not having a snack bar area with water bottles, snacks, liquid IV, etc.)!
