It's such a great bonding opportunity and allows you to have fun with whoever you bring with phones down. Parking is NO issue at all at this location. They have so many spots available given the strip outlet location it's in. I do recommend not wearing any thick or heavy clothes and bringing as little items as possible, because you will be moving A LOT and sweating will be your enemy. They have a bar and restaurant as well, but we didn't get a chance to go. Definitely will be back, and next time need to go for 4 hours! We went to Bam Kazam on a Saturday at around 8 PM. There were 4 of us total, 2 have been there before, but this was my first time. The premise is similar to an escape room, but there are several themed, interactive rooms that you try to progress through. Each room has a 3 minute time limit and if you pass the first challenge, a door opens to another room. Each themed room has 3 challenges total. We all had a lot of fun working together as a team. The rooms are hard to complete (at least for us lol) and some of the rooms required more physical ability. There are employees there to help you as requested, which helps if you get stuck on what you're supposed to do. The rooms are well put together, theme-wise, which adds to the experience of the challenges. There were a lot of people there, which meant a long waiting time. I feel as though we did more waiting than we did inside the rooms. Although, it didn't help that several rooms broke or weren't functioning correctly throughout the night. There's also a bar in the back where you can grab drinks and food, if you so choose. I would recommend waiting until after the experience since you have a 2 hour time limit. Overall, Bam Kazam is a unique activity to get a group of friends or family together for a night of fun and challenges! I love coming here! I never feel board when I do. It's fun life-sized arcade games, and it's all about figuring out the puzzles without instructions. There are game rooms that don't require a lot of movement, for those who have bad backs, knees, or shoulders. And then there are game rooms that do require more physical activity. But every time I come, I always have a good time with whoever I come with. The staff are always there to help if you constantly struggle, too. They are always super friendly. We had a fun time at Bam Kazan past weekend for a friend's birthday. It's nice cause you get to try multiple games with your friends but the hard thing is there are no clues and instead pictures on the doors so it may require a couple failures to solve a single game. Let me start by saying this is an incredible idea and it's executed pretty well, but: 1. There are no hints. Some of the games are not self explanatory and difficult to figure out. We tried one game about 8 times and made zero progress so just quit trying. 2. Some of the games are extremely physical. If you pass level one of a game, you move to level two. If you fail level two, you restart the entire game. This happened to us in one of the room several times. I like the concept, but both of these things are incredibly frustrating. We'll probably go back and see if we're any smarter or fitter than we were before. If you're in great physical shape, this is a good place to exert a lot of energy! read more

I genuinely wanted to love this place. Online, it looked so fun, and the marketing is honestly fantastic but the actual experience was nothing like what you see online. When you walk in, the space feels strangely empty, almost like you're in the wrong building, even though the painted walls confirm you're in the right spot. The layout is basically two long hallways with rooms on either side. The staff member who helped us was nice enough, but there was zero real explanation on how to actually play or complete the tasks in each room. She walked us through the general instructions, and at the first room she showed us how to use the wristbands to open the doors. As soon as we stepped inside, the game started. We immediately failed because we had no idea what we were supposed to be doing. She opened the door to tell us we'd failed but we still didn't know why, how, or what the actual objective even was. Unfortunately, that first room set the tone for the entire experience. Every room felt the same: confusing, unclear, and over before we even figured out what the goal was. Out of the eight rooms we tried, we only "won" one and that was after playing it five times just so we could walk out with at least one win. Each game lasts only three to six minutes, which would be fine if the objectives made sense, but they really don't. Honestly, I'd recommend putting your money toward an actual interactive escape room instead of this. I was really looking forward to this experience, but it fell so far short of expectations that I can't recommend it to anyone. To make matters worse, I brought my team here for a teambuilding activity. We spent a decent amount of money, and I ended up feeling terrible because every single one of us was over it not long after the games started. Definitely not worth it. read more

Our Girl Scout Troop had the pleasure of getting to try out Bam Kazam this past weekend. We had 11 people, so we split into 2 groups of 5 and 6 and had a blast trying out all the different rooms. There are 8 rooms in total that have 3 different levels for each. For only a couple of the rooms did we actually make it out of the first room, but my group of 6 actually did beat the mouse and cheese room. (After 8 tries, but still Yeah!) the place was crowded but we didn't have to wait long to be able to get into another room. Each room has a short timer that you have to beat in order to move on. The only clues for each room are the 3 pictures on each door. Some were helpful others not so much, but that is part of the fun. For the amount of time and the number of rooms the cost was decent. One bit of advice, for most of the rooms ALL the participants have to complete the challenge. This means the obstacles as well (thank you giant yarn ball). It was an overall fun time and I would consider coming back, just so we can try beating more rooms. I'm looking at you haunted house room! read more

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with escape rooms... I'm not the biggest fan but when I'm there and successful, it's a great feeling! I've been to Bam Kazam a couple of times now and my daughter especially loves it. I joined her and three friends on a recent weekday afternoon and they had a blast. On this particular day, it was busier than expected, but we were still able to go into a good amount of the rooms during our two hour visit. Since there are different rooms that open up to a part two or three, it's frustrating to get through one room and then lose in the second or third and have to start all over again if you want to get back to the second or third room... We found a couple of the rooms glitchy as well and had to ask for a "reset" or help a couple of times during our visit. All things considered, we always have fun on our visits here. Be VERY careful in the cat burglar tight rope climbing wall room. The padding on the floor is very thin and doesn't protect you if you fall. I fell a few feet as you're supposed to climb the wall to get to the other side, and fell onto my right arm onto the "padded" floor, and BROKE my right arm. I now have 8 fractures and 2 chipped off bones. I would not recommend the rooms where there are physical activities, to both kids and adults who care for their health. I had to go to urgent care and ER, and now will have to deal with the arm for the next 6-12 months. PLEASE BE CAREFUL! read more

This place is so fun. We had been here before about two years ago, but we decided to go again with our three kids on spring break. The cost is $34 a person for two hours of unlimited access. Age 14+, 10+ with a parent. When you get there, you're given a cubby to put all your personal items in. You don't want to take anything in with you that requires you to hold onto it or would easily fall out of your pockets. They are good about letting you come back to your things if you need them, like a water bottle or your phone. They give you a bracelet that one person on your team wears to allow access to each room. Lights above the doors tell you which rooms are in use (red), open (green) or unavailable (white) and the rooms are timed. Keeps everything moving pretty efficiently. There are different themed rooms, with several challenges and levels to complete at each stage. It requires patience, attention to detail, some real physical effort, and teamwork. There say a team should be at least three people and the recommendation is for kids to be over 10, and I can see why. Some of the themes can be a little scary and almost all the rooms are pretty dark (as in low to no light for all or portions of the room). There is a pretty decent level of physicality required too, height and upper body strength are a plus. It wasn't too busy when we went (early in the day on a weekday) so we got to do all the rooms multiple times and didn't have to wait at all until the very end of our time when it started getting busier. The staff is also there to help out with clues if you need them (and they are nice about it too; they don't make you feel like a dumb dumb for not figuring something out). If whatever reason something is working or the room doesn't cooperate, the staff were really quick to help resolve the issue. I like this versus a traditional escape room because you get a variety of choices and if you don't get something right, you can just go out and try again. Escape rooms, especially for particularly competitive people like myself, can get so frustrating with a group of people for over an hour and still not get out. This is a lot faster pace and allows for a lot of trial, error, and laughter! You also don't ever share the room with anyone else but your own team. No randos allowed in there with you. This is one of the most unique places I have been to and it is hard to describe in words. But I'll try! Bam Kazam is like an escape room arcade? It currently has about 8 "rooms" and you have two hours to try out whatever rooms you want, as many times as you can. Each room has 3 different levels to work through, and each level is less than 5 minutes long to win (and faster if you lose). There are no instructions so you have to figure out how to win by trial and error. Some of the rooms are similar to a short escape room where you have to solve a puzzle to win. Some are more physical - like a room where the floor is lava and you have to hit all the buttons on the walls when they light up. There's also a game room style (Wheel of Fortune) room and some other fun stuff. I think you can have 6 people on a team. You will often lose on the first try, but if there's no line you can go right back in and try again. If it's busier and there is a line, you can switch to a different room - otherwise the wait is pretty short. I'd definitely recommend going on a weeknight or weekend morning when it's less busy to maximize your time. I've been here a few times with friends and coworkers and had a blast! It's fun for all ages. A majority of the rooms have some sort of physical challenge, so it's not the most accessible though. Absolutely YES. These escape rooms I did with my cousin and all the obstacles we had to do were literally the best! We even got an extra hour when our time ran out lol. We're going back this weekend with some of my friends and family! We kept getting stuck but it's sooo worth it! It's better if you go with 3-6 or 4-6 people because most of them require that amount of people. Our favorite room was the one where you have to steal a painting at the end! Everything about this place is so much fun!! It's a fantastic addition to the entertainment corridor in Scottsdale off the 101. Instead of one Escape room for 1 hour, you get unlimited mini multi-level escape rooms for two hours. It's fast paced, exciting, and a little sweaty. I've been three times now with my kids (under the recommended age by a couple of years but they adore it) along with other active friends. I think 5-6 people are perfect amount for a group. Less than that and it's tough to complete some levels, but more than that can be too many chefs in the kitchen and people could feel left out, which might be okay if you have 1-2 less active participants. As long as you have 4 agile people, a 5th or 6th person could participate without too much physical activity. I love that the levels are challenging, quick, varied, and plentiful. After three visits there is still so much to do! They do a good job of limiting the amount of visitors so you never have to wait more than a couple of minutes between rooms, if at all. They recently added a surprisingly tasty food menu. The fries are amazing and we liked the mini tacos too. There is alcohol available for purchase. Two hours is the perfect amount of time for gaming so we didn't want to take time out to eat. We learned if you grab food during your stay and show your receipt to the front desk they will extend your time by 30 minutes - perfect! Every time I go, I enjoy it more!! Such a unique escape room experience! Instead of a lengthly storyline, Bam Kazam has mini escape rooms in which you have about 3 minutes to solve the puzzle. As you solve the puzzle you are then able to access the next room which is a level harder. Each room had a different theme and were either mental or physical challenges. I liked this way better than the traditional escape rooms because it gives you more variety and extra tries to solve it. They are very transparent with the fact that we would fail but that we had multiple tries to learn from our mistakes. Everyone working here was so nice and helped provide clues when asked. I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a fun group activity. I recommend wearing comfortable clothing, having a group of six and coming in with a good energy! read more

But anyway me (black guy) and my two friends ( not black guys) were out looking for something to do and bam Kazam we found it... so what is this all about that has this sexy chocolate black man writing a review ( because y'all do know i write reviews).. well it's an escape room but you do stuff... this is like American gladiator mixed with Sherlock Holmes. ( and I was never much of both of them)! But I was sweating, sore, and my brain hurt! I walked in looking like a tough guy and crawled out looking like someone i met that bully from third grade!!! But the point is it was challenging and it was fun. You actually have to use your mind and body to solve the puzzles, it's more than an escape room...if you can call it that! The room were all different and there were many of them.. the people were really nice and supportive ( they tried not to make you feel too stupid because you paid your money and the little ten year old girl solved it in 10 minutes .. brat!!) But I would go again and the worst part is they don't have one where I live! (Do you guys franchise??? No seriously.. call me ) I would love to open one of these and do it daily. It was a fun activity and the rooms were well produced with creative themes. However be prepared for a challenge, this is definitely not for kids. The only issue was a couple mechanisms within the rooms weren't working properly but it didn't ruin our experience. Will be back to try and solve more as we're only able to completely solve 3. I would definitely recommend trying to go with a larger group (5-6 people) as this makes it easier in these team based rooms. Came with 3 boys ages 10-14 and 3 adults. The boys are competitive & get along for the most part.(siblings&cousins) We lost a lot but won some too. We had a lot of fun which was what we came to do. We had a reservation for 4 people at 630pm on a Saturday. The place was super packed. We had to continually wait for at least 1-2 groups of people to finish a room before we could get in. That doesn't sound long when games only last 3 minutes, but when you're doing this every time that ends up being half your time spent waiting on a room. Then there were multiple issues with rooms not starting, doors not opening, band not working, screws falling out of doors so they wouldn't close etc. I definitely didn't leave feeling like I got my moneys worth with all the delays. If you go, my recommendation is to try to figure out when they're slow. They need to find a way to cap the number of groups they let in better. Staff were friendly and nice and willing to help, just wish I didn't spend half my time waiting. read more

Each room has a different mental or physical challenge and you can pick and choose which order you go in - almost like mini escape rooms! Each challenge has levels 1-3 and we managed to solve most of them. The staff were super helpful and would give us hints if we needed. We came pretty late in the day, almost till closing and there wasn't too many people around. Even then we had to wait for the more popular/interactive rooms so I can imagine the waits for some rooms can get kind of long. It looks like they're working on creating more rooms and I can't wait to come back and try them! Great for adults and kids. Don't forget to wear athletic shoes! Updating my review to reflect our second and most recent visit/experience. Visited with 6 adults again, this fine Sunday afternoon and though it was still fun, it was a bit less stellar than our first visit. They allow way too many groups at once and it was absolutely packed. Though the waiting is not horrible, it's not great and most rooms are occupied the whole time so you're hoping you get lucky with a green or have to wait for a room to open up. The rooms felt a bit glitchy this time around too, letting us in for no apparent reason and some of the sound effects were not as great or hard to understand. Still an awesome concept, but it really breaks up the flow and ability to effectively work through the different rooms and levels when you can't hear the prompt well or have to wait a hot minute. The wristbands were also having some issues and we walked into a few rooms that had people in it, even though it was green. Lastly, they activated our wrist bands a bit earlier than our time (so they expired earlier than we anticipated) and then had to go through a 15 minute or so tutorial, bummer that it cuts into the two hour play time. read more

Came here while on vacation and had a blast with our party of 9 (ranging from adults, teens, and kids) trying to get through each 'mini' escape room. Literally each member of our family loved it. For the price of around $38 per person I thought getting the chance to work through 9 different brain teasers/challenges was sooo worth it. Not to mention getting out of the Arizona heat for about 2.5 hours is a definite yes for me. Behind each room lies a variety of challenges requiring teamwork, physical agility, and some definite brain power. Every room has a specific theme ranging from a game show, a haunted mansion, spaceship, mouse trap, egyptian pyramid, belly of a whale, and coal miner. We did feel as though a brief context before entering the room on how to work your way through each level would have helped you actually pass. Since there wasn't, there was a lot of trial and error and repeat attempts to make it all the way to level 3. Luckily the staff here are awesome! They walk around to help give you some clues as to what each room require you to do. The only downside I would say is that the more popular rooms tend to have a longer wait. If you fail (which more than likely you will at first) you have to exit the room and get back in line to restart your 3 minute time first round attempt. Since this was our first time here we were only able to solve 3 rooms from level 1 all the way to 3. The rest of the mini escape rooms kicked our butt!! While talking to the staff they did mention that more rooms are in the process of being created and i believe they're expanding the bottom floor to create some kind of food/drink area. We entered Bam Kazam right when it opened . Upon being welcomed in they asked if we were part of their party group , I said no just a walk in . I didn't think I needed to pre purchase a ticket on a Thursday morning for two people. Backstory - It's my husbands 40th and I had a " sporadic day " planned starting with Bam Kazam . The gentleman words pretty much went like this " well this is awkward to do first thing in morning .. we try very hard to put all over our website that you need at least three people to play our games . You absolutely can not win any of games without having three people , so unfortunately you can't play " he went as far as following up with " you can phone a friend if you want " I was shocked at the dismissiveness of the encounter . There was no option of - unless you don't mind not winning . For the record - there is no way to know you ABSOLUTELY need three people unless you go through and click on purchase tickets . So he was wrong there . Also, after leaving because we were dismissed I was like who cares if we didn't want to " win " any games , what about the experience , which is all I wanted . Pretty crappy walking into a place and being told " sorry you can't play ". I've never been there but is it an option to just play and experience this place without " needing three people to win " If that's the case , you should do better on your website and make sure people checking it out see the words " 3 or more only" . Because that's not easy to find. I'm kind of turned off by the behavior in the early morning and not being giving an option to pay and play just for the heck . read more

I definitely think going here is a fun and interactive thing to do. My friend found this place and set up our appt. We went on Monday night around 7pm. There were plenty of people there but it wasn't annoyingly busy. We spent the entire 2 hours there and I didn't think we would. Overall, it's fun to go but it would be more enjoyable if there were some basic rules for the games and if once you were in a room with your group you didn't have to keep going back in/out to restart the game after failing one of the 3 levels. It would eliminate some of the annoying factor we experienced with some simple changes. The basic experience was we arrived at the start of our 2 hr window. We got a tutorial on the place. One person is the ring leader with the wrist band that opens the rooms so long as no one else is in there. You go inside and just try to play the game. Each room has a different theme and game. So again, some basic instructions for each thing would be helpful and not as much back and forth of figuring out what you are trying to do. I like to play games and I don't expect to be fed the solutions to the game/puzzle but sometimes we had to fail a level multiple times and go back in/out before we could master the game. Also we had 6 of us and a couple games were much better suited for like 3 or 4 players. We had fun, now that I've been there if I go back it would be better I'm sure with having experience. Overall super fun multiple-mini escape rooms and glad I went, but the experience was not without some frustrating hiccups. They could avoid some basic confusion by labeling the rooms, having staff handy or better monitoring for the inevitable room malfunctions, and having a better primer before you start. My best tip I can offer is to ask questions and ask for hints, this will help avoid confusion and frustration. Here's an example of what could be done better: every room has three levels. Sometimes the second room is just a holding area while you wait for the group in front to clear the third room. Sometimes the group in front does not exit in a timely fashion, or does not realize their time has come to an end. Meanwhile, you are waiting in purgatory - they can do things to help make sure people are moving along when they are supposed to. read more

We were a party of four, after going I think you need at least 6 for some rooms. The intro that was given at the beginning was clear "This is not escape rooms" they have never claimed to be this is team building through mini games. And by mini I really mean mini. Like a whole 3 minutes. The staff is really nice and helpful but that doesn't make up for things that are clearly broken. Judging from reviews 2 years ago that's my 2 cents on the whole thing. Would I go back probably not. Things are clearly broken in almost every room. Are you paying for your own social experiment? Probably. If you had longer than 3 minutes you'd figure out nothing works and only half the rooms are open. Squid Games might be better. If you're going for escape room I'd go somewhere else honestly. I had a lot of fun but there were quite a few things I didn't like. 1. Sometimes things wouldn't work properly. 2. I feel like some rooms are not finishable depending on the builds of the participants. I don't want to spoil things but there was one room in particular that is much easier for smaller people. I wish maybe it could be disclosed beforehand that certain rooms might rely heavily on build so that time isn't wasted. 3. Too many people.
