My mother and I visited The Room for back-to-back haircut appointments with Jessica, the owner. Jessica was very opinionated, loud, obnoxious and rude! Not to mention the bad haircuts....let's begin. First, she kept cutting me off when I was talking so don't expect to get a word in edgewise. Second, she doesn't have music playing in her salon, she listens to a police radio which is definitely not the vibe I like in my salons. Third, I have recently suffered from a sickness and she had the audacity to tell me I'd be fine and I didn't need to go see a doctor (several times, in fact, even though I never asked her opinion). I don't know on what planet a hairdresser thinks she's a doctor, but Ms. Jessica is quite full of herself for no reason I can see. Fourth, she only allocated 15 mins each for our haircuts which is not nearly enough time to provide a quality cut with quality service (and, believe me, she did not provide either). Lastly (and this really ticks me off), she has somehow rejected any reviews submitted by my mother or me via Vagaro where I booked our appointments. I am in touch with Vagaro to get my mother's negative review reinstated and I will be posting a negative review on that site myself. I suspect Ms. Jessica has friends and family provide positive reviews and has negative reviews removed, leaving a very inaccurate assessment of her establishment. DO NOT waste your money on this place - terrible haircuts (we actually have to pay someone more to fix our hair now, thanks for that), crappy management attitude, and even worse ambience. Jessica doesn't give you badass hair....it's just plain bad hair! Don't waste your money here, go see a professional who knows what they're doing - you'll thank me later! read more

These two beautiful ladies are by far the best there is. I had a horrific experience years and years ago at a different salon which resorted to me turning to box dye since 2014. Loren was kind enough to take me in and literally blew me away with the results. While visiting Roxboro, I called and got an appointment for the same day...best color and cut I've had in years!! Jessi and her apprentice are awesome gals! They make you feel welcome from the moment you come into the salon....which is by far the coolest atmosphere you could hope for. The salon itself has quite the eclectic feel with lots of decor and color. I usually spend minimum of three hours getting my services back home. This was less than two hours and the color and cut were AMAZING! Jessi knows her stuff! I'm thrilled that I actually found someone that I am comfortable and content with to take care of my unruly hair! This is going to be one of my MUST DO'S whenever I'm visiting Roxboro from now on! read more

I have been a customer of Jessica's for years now, and I have always been happy with her. When I first sat in her chair I was a bit nervous, but she put me right at ease. She is very personable and kind. She listens to what I want to try to do with my hair and gives me good, informed feedback. That is so valuable to me!
