I am in perimenopause and was suffering from a stiff, painful shoulder. My doctor at Kaiser prescribed heavy NSAIDs and PT, but I needed something else as sleeping was difficult. This review is long overdue. I started doing acupuncture because of my digestive issues and migraines. I had my first session with Danielle who is the warmest kindest soul. I experienced a massive panic attack in August and I had the worst anxiety afterwards. It was going on for weeks where I felt like I couldn't breathe. Let me just start by saying that Denise is simply amazing! I came to the root and the branch because I had low energy, felt tired all the time, and I had recently lost the taste (or rather had a constant metallic taste in my mouth). My experiences at The Root & The Branch with Courtney have been phenomenal; and as cliche as it sounds - life changing. I have been seeing Courtney for a little over a year and she was / has been such an integral part of my pregnancy journey. I have an allergy that affects my immune system. Over the last ten years, I've attempted to fill in the pieces on why my immune system over-reacts to the point that I need to take prescription medications to quell the initial reaction. During the first ten minutes of my first appointment, Dr. Reiman gave me a concise overview of what was happening in my system and identified a very healthy food (I was eating 4-5 times a week!) that was actually making the situation worse. This was followed up with a very relaxing acupuncture treatment designed to help support my body's natural immune defenses. I was impressed with Dr. Reiman's knowledge and was happy to have a fresh perspective on treating my condition. I've since eliminated certain foods from my diet and have a clear direction on how to treat my allergy.
