This is the second time in as many years I have used these folks. Amazing customer service. Last year I flubbed my first online order and couldn't figure out how to fix it and correctly placed a second order thinking I'd just have to eat the cost of the first one. Natalie promptly called me noticing the error and was able to get things corrected for me. This year, it appeared that it was out of the coverage area and Bryndon took the time to contact me, let me know this and ask if it was okay to deliver it on a Sunday. Wow, I said, absolutely, I didn't think that stores would be delivering on a Sunday. I honestly was going to leave a 1 star but the lady who took the phone order and fixed the problem was nice. I placed 2 orders for my mom and mother-in-law for Mother's Day. I got the Betty white and the grape soda. I asked to add 3 roses to each so they had a 1/2 dozen. They charged me an extra 15 per bouquet. My mother in law's bouquet turned out great. My mom's bouquet was missing the 3 extra roses. I requested light pink and she got fuchsia. When I called them I honestly wondered if it was an honest mistake or if the shop just does this to pull in extra cash without honoring what was offered because how often do people check on what was actually delivered. When I called she said she'd fix it and throw in some chocolates and will deliver it that evening. Now here's the part that made me extra mad and even my mom not happy. The first delivery. My mom is older she is sitting in a recliner and sees the delivery man start coming to the door. She starts to get up and it takes her a while because she is in a mechanical chair and she is older. The delivery man had the audacity to say "sure took you a while, here's your flowers" totally took the joy out of receiving the flowers. The second guy who delivered the replacement flowers rudely tells her here's your flowers and I need the other bouquet back. She proceeds to grab the other bouquet and mentions that my daughter said there would be chocolates. He acts like it's a complete inconvenience to actually bring what was offered and says he forgot them in the truck. Honestly from here on out. I'll give my mom money and she'll head to Costco and buy her own flowers. This service was rude and the exact opposite of what receiving flowers should feel like. It wasn't my fault or my mom's fault for not receiving what I paid for. I wasn't asking for any extra favors here. read more

I'm writing this review product unseen and specifically about the absolutely incredible service I have received. A little background: My daughter went in for surgery just as we were starting our vacation. She lives in another state so I desperately wanted to get her something special. I had only provided my daughter's name and that she was in the hospital. How things played out: My daughter ran into complications and has been kept at the hospital for additional days, a couple past the original date that I had requested for delivery at her home and after we had left for vacation. What makes The Rose Shop AMAZING? With the little information I provided, they actually called the hospital, figured out there was a delay and called to let me know and coordinated their own delivery. This left me flabbergasted and incredibly grateful since my daughter received her flowers at the appropriate time, while I was on vacation without my intervention. This to me represents service far and above the call of duty and my expectations. Thoughts: Who are these people and what planet did they come from? I have yet to receive service like this in the Portland area and would gladly consider assisting them in moving here or at least spreading their service ethos here. Screwed up order Twice!!!! I ordered a Valentines arrangement to be delivered to my wife's work the day BEFORE Valentine's Day. I wanted them the day before for two reasons: First, I didn't want any trouble with delivery on a busy Valentine's and second I had a whole day planned for my wife and didn't want to be tied down to my house waiting for delivery. I was also out of town the day before Valentine's otherwise I would have just picked them up myself. Well, I arrived home February 13th at around midnight and did not find any flowers at home. I called the Rose Shop at 8:30am on February 14 to find out why the flowers I ordered did not get delivered on the 13th like stated on my invoice. The man in charge of delivery apologized or the mix up and stated that he thought I wanted them on the 14th, rather than the 13th. I told him that was not the case and that I would now need to change the delivery address because my wife would not be at work for the rest of the week. Again, the man on the line apologized for the mistake and assured me that he would personally make sure to take care of the problem. Fast forward 8 hours (yes eight hours later, no rush delivery for a product already 24 hours late), my wife receives a picture of a lovely floral arrangement that had just been delivered to her place of employment, NOT the place the delivery man ASSURED me that they would be delivered! I again called The Rose Shop to ask how they could possibly screw up on an order not once, but TWICE! The man in the phone again apologizes and wants to know what he can do to make things right. I believe in second chances but third chances is asking a bit too much. They seem to apologize quickly and pretend that they will do everything they can to make thing right but unfortunately it appears to be mostly lip service with very little follow through. I will never do business with this establishment again and will discourage anyone in the future. read more

In fact, it clearly states right on the Rose Shop invoice to deliver on July 13th. They delivered the flowers on July 3rd or 4th. My sister felt I had her birthday confused with someone else. I was slightly concerned as I was a thousand miles away ordering flowers for a funeral and had no way of knowing if they were going to go all out for me or not, but they really came through. TOTALLY UNSATISFIED!!! I placed an order with the Rose Shop for a wedding. When I placed the order I was told that I could cancel for a full refund up until the day before the event, no questions asked, not problems. I was told the lady who handles the wedding orders (who I made the order with) would call me to confirm the order on "x" date and get the information for the total payment. I didn't receive a call so I called to follow-up. I spoke to Kathy - the bookkeeper, and she told me the reason no one had called was because they didn't know the date of the wedding. TOTAL LIE! I paid for the order in full and was once again assured the I could cancel my order at anytime if needed. Four days later, on a whim, I asked a new florist in town for a quote for the same exact order, and they were able to do the order for $150 instead of the $225 the The Rose Shop charged. I called the Rose Shop and cancelled my order on Friday at 2pm. I followed-up on Monday at 12:43 to make sure the refund had been processed because it hadn't shown up in my account. I received a phone call back at 12:51 from the owner David who said he would check on it and call me back. He called me back at 12:59 to assure me that the refund had been processed when I called on Friday. I still had not received the refund on Wednesday, so I called at 8:03 to inquire as to when the refund had been processed. Stephanie, a floral designer told me the owner and bookkeeper were out so I would have to wait until Thursday before anyone could help me. I asked for the names of the owners/managers/bookkeepers so I could pursue answers. She put me on hold and then told me she had called the owner, David, and he said the refund had been processed 30 minutes after I spoke to him on Monday. (ANOTHER LIE) I told her that was unacceptable, that I was lied to when I was told it had be taken care of on Friday, and now was told it wasn't taken care of until Monday AFTER I called in. After hanging up I received a call from David, the owner, and he told me the bookkeeper said it was done on Friday, but she was sick on Monday so he couldn't verify anything as far as times but would try to find out. I then received a call from Kathy, the bookkeeper, who told me that the hadn't closed the credit cards (batched out) Friday night, couldn't do it Monday because she was sick, so it was actually done on Tuesday- 2 business days AFTER I was told that it had been completes. They have no back-up plan for completing credit card transactions. People just have to wait until Kathy, and Kathy alone can process them. I was told I could get a cash refund but they would have to charge my card once again... total carges of $450 to receive $225 in a cash refund. Well that makes sense. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THE ROSE SHOP FOR ANYTHING!!! ALTHOUGH THEY WERE ENTIRELY APOLOGETIC, THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO BECAUSE OF THEIR POOR PLANNING, THEIR POOR FOLLOW THROUGH, AND THEIR LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. STAY AWAY FROM THIS OVER PRICED LOCATION!!! read more
