Argos is still there and Wilkinsons which has been extended, and there is a big New Look. It looks like there will be more shops to follow as there were big 'Next' signs on one of the empty shops. I'm sure that people will start going there once the shops come, especially now as it is under cover. Apparently parking is free on Sundays so that is something to consider when wondering where to park in Southend!

I went to Primark today 04/10/2025 in Southend on Sea. The staff there were very helpful. They…read moredirected me to where the items I wanted could be found and even knew if items had gone out of stock. There were staff teaching the Christmas temps how to fold clothing and even people keeping an eye out on the shop floor for anyone needing assistance or shoplifters. I would like to thank the man named Calum and another called Richard who were extremely helpful and went out of their way for me today. I left Primark in my mobility scooter happy with my purchases - thank Southend on Sea Primark.

The new Primark in the Royals Shopping Centre, is a pleasure to shop in compared to the old one on…read morethe High Street. There is much more space and the clothes are now well laid out and you can actually see what you are buying! Which makes a world of difference, the changing rooms are clean and uncluttered and you can actually see where the queue for the till starts and finishes!! The clothes are affordable, they wash well and look good! The new location makes it convenient to get to, with the Royals carpark literally a minutes walk away The staff are polite and it is easy to find what you are looking for, its not too empty and its not too cluttered it actually makes a very good shopping experience!

They also sell items for your home like. mugs, cushions, candles, pictures mirrors.. etc.. all quite cheap. They also sell toys and are brilliant when it gets close to christmas and they bring out the previous years christmas gift sets at a fraction of the price. I usually stock up! They do some great sales, so pick up a leaflet next time your in there as you may find a coupon for 20% off! The staff are very helfful, last time I didn't have a leaflet she found me one and got me 20% off which was so kind of her.

I purchased a double glazed door from this company in 2009 and had it professionally installed and…read morefinished according to the instructions. Within a couple of months the seal on the double glazed unit of the window has broken down allowing condensation to build up inside the unit. This has of course also dramatically decreased the thermal insulation qualities. The company have been most unhelpful in resolving the problem and have told me to deal with the manufacturer which it is not - it is only the distributor. The manufacturer, XL joinery, has denied responsibility. Please do not use Bd joinery ltd or buy XL joinery products from other outlets. The product is plainly of poor quality in my opinion and the after sales service is non-existent. My problem remains unresolved. At the time I purchased there were no reviews on them. I hope this review helps others to avoid them at all costs.
