This place is newly renovated, seriously so cute and beautiful... I love the environment of this place. But I've also given them too many chances. The service at this salon is so rude every time I go there, which is either every week or every other week. So common, you'd think that they'd be nice to reoccurring customers?! I get shellac manicures there and several times they'll either chip or a bubble will form and the whole color will peal off. Just ok. The surface appearance is clean but I was disappointed to find the lack of sterilization of instruments. I was also disappointed that I could not engage staff in conversation because they seemed to not understand or just didn't want to talk. Nice color selection. Pedicure was pretty basic and rushed. I had terrible service from this place the lady who served me she was super rude,impolite and poor service.when she doing my nails she didn't sit she was doing stand up and so rough. When I got hurt my nails she said I cannot do your nails and go out. I WAS SO UPSET about her behaviour. I don't understand that shop still survive by that horrible service. I cannot sing enough praise about this nail saloon! The Ruby Room has been one of the most impressive nail experiences I have ever had. I went to the Ruby Room based on my sister's recommendation who recently had her nails done there. I was shopping at the time and decided to book an appointment, but soon found out I didn't need one! Walk in without an appointment and sit down to have a quality manicure and pedicure. The saloon is chock-a-block with customers beautifying their toes in the massage chairs, with just as many having a manicure. Mention the Ruby Room's website promotion and receive $10 off a full set of nail acrylics. I had the shellac manicure which cost only $35!! It will only set you back $25 if you choose to just have the shellac colour done and not any nail maintenance. Magazines are aplenty and with many customers in the saloon, there is always someone to talk to! I am definitely heading back to the Ruby Room to have a pedicure and am taking my Mum with me! Each nail treatment is shockingly cheap, making pampering very affordable and accessible to those on a budget. The saloon is open 7 days a week, perfect for those with a busy schedule. she finished it in within 20 mins!!! my ass and the seat is not even hot yet. I was getting Spa pedicure. first, she gave me dark sh**t face, 2nd, she didnt even remove my dead skin on sole of my foot 3rd, she didnt shape my nails 4th, she didnt apply second layer and the color looks inconsistent. 5th, she did not not help me to put my slippers on before polish my toes. (everyone except me to) The girl with spec. becareful! luckily i complaint to the receptionist and she do it again for me. i have no idea is she prejudice on me or what? did i do anything wrong or give you trouble? There are a million and one options for nails in Chatswood but my pick of the bunch is Ruby Room. This somewhat palatial nail salon is just lovely (albeit kitsch) for a cut, buff and polish. The chandeliers dripping from the ceiling, the red walls and the plush leather chairs give the illusion of indulgence. The prices match the down and dirty places in Westfield and Chatswood chase at $12 for hands and $15 for feet. The staff are very nice (English is limited) plus they are very efficient and precise. A walk in is welcome here and they'll do their best to accommodate you. read more

WORST NAIL SALON I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. I asked for the deal they have on there Website that states you get $10 off if you mention the site - so I did. They proceeded to say how "no one uses it anymore" and acted as though they were annoyed to let me use it. Take it down if you aren't happy with the deal! I showed them exactly what I wanted on a picture ... They then said because of the certain shape that it'll be $10 more and so I didn't get the deal anyway. They said it'd be $50. When I went to pay the lady said $60... I told her that at the beginning they had already told me the price, she then grunted - told me that the lady I showed "doesn't know" and then proceeded to gossip about me to her collegues in their language. I was getting my nails done for a wedding the next day .... At the wedding one of my nails snapped off clean. ABSOLUTE CRAP read more

I go to ruby room at least once a month. Although the past few experiences has changed my mind completely and to never go there again. I'm not fussy and happy to pay for a service. I politely asked her is she could re-do pushing back the nail beds as she merely just touched each one light as a feather that she had attitude and used excessive force it pushed past and exposed flesh, one week later its still tender. Not to mention she only soaked my nails for less than a minute I understand sometimes their busy or its close to closing time but they weren't and she had lots of time.. . Oh I can just go on about the awful time I had there. AVOID! read more

This place provided by far the most disappointing pedicure experience I've ever had. I've walked out of here once before after waiting 40 minutes to get a buff shape and polish, but for whatever reason I decided to give them another shot. The nail technician dumped my feet in water and wandered off for 20 minutes before cutting off by cuticles and drawing blood on several nails. She continued to flit between me and another client before walking out of the shop altogether and handing me to another technician. Both had the most lax approach to gel nail drying I've ever come across and having sat there wandering whether I should remind the second nail technician that I existed, he eventually roughly removed the light and toe separators and told me to leave. No moisturizer and the color wasn't even close to the color I requested. I could excuse some of this had they been busy, but with 3 customers and 4 staff it was inexcusable. I'm off to disinfect my poor bleeding feet. read more

Very poor service. The nail paint for pedicure was very badly done. Half the toe nails were not even covered. The service lady refused to correct the gaps even after pointing out. I wanted to do a pedicure and looked at their service menu at the entry, and a girl from the shop looked at me with a question mark onher face, so I asked her I want to do a pedicure, do I need to book in or Can I do it straight away. She answered 'WHATEVER!'. I was a little shocked with her answer and I said 'but can you explain what is your pedicure includes? there are pedicure spa and pedicure delux. She looked at me with her face showing distain and even made tis. and another girl came to me. she seems to be a receptionist, and she explained to me the service (not quite clear）and she walked away and never came back! There are so many nail salons in chatswood, I could go to any other easily but ruby room is definitely out of my list now. I suggest the business owner should retrain their staff with some good manners at least to survive in this competitive business in this busy area. read more
