We were there recently for Small Business Saturday and they were making flower crowns and small bouquets (so fun!) Macey the florist there is so fun and kind, and makes you feel welcome as soon as you step in the store. She arranges amazing bouquets and centerpieces that are unique and full of personality. The flowers she selects are gorgeous and have introduced me to looks and kinds of leaves and flowers I've never seen before and LOVE! Like these sunflowers in the pictures, they were multi tone. Some friends sent me a bouquet of flowers and when they were delivered to the doorstep there were already brown petals on some of the roses. The arrangement was pretty but the whole thing looked tired and the roses didn't last 48 hours. I like to buy local but I won't be using this florist. read more

Needing a gift for a family birthday, I was wandering down Del Mar and just happened to stick my head in San Clemente Florist. What a surprise---they are MUCH more than just a flower shop. Their front gallery was full of art, packed with totally unique and funky decorative items. A lot of re-purposed antiques---lots of great, rustic stuff, much of it ocean-themed. Not expensive, either. Stuff you just don't see anywhere else---they are not your typical gift shop---or flower shop, although I've ordered bouquets from them several times, and they've always been great. I spoke with the counter guy (who I assume was the owner) and he was very personable, and told me they are trying to work more with local artists and support the SC arts community. If you are looking for something new and different in San Clemente---drop in, you will be very pleasantly surprised. (PS--just went back to order some Valentine's stuff, and found out the current owners have only been there a year, so take some of those older reviews with a grain of salt.) read more

I called about a week in advance and spoke to a very helpful and friendly lady named Monica who outlined all of the flowers and options available for my budget. In the end, I got a bridal bouquet, 3 bridesmaids bouquets and a boutonniere for $96 plus tax. On the day of the wedding, they confirmed the order and had it ready as promised. First (and only time) I've used this shop. Ordered Valentine's Day flowers for my girlfriend 2 days prior. Flowers never arrived. Called and shop tells me that she refused the flowers. Under what circumstances would a girl refuse flowers on Valentine's? Of course flowers hadn't been refused. Had to run around last minute to find replacements. I was referred to San Clemente Florist by Lizzy at Lesneski's Mortuary upon my mother's recent passing. Sue was absolutely phenomenal. I told her what my mother's favorite flowers were and Sue helped me to determine how to incorporate those favorites into gorgeous arrangements. She would send me photos over text messages so that I could get a visual of her and her designers ideas. They did all the boutineers for the pall bearers and had 20 long stemmed Gerbera daisies (daisies were my moms absolute favorite of all) for the graveside burial that each of us placed on my mothers casket. Further, she assisted all of our guests that wanted to bring flowers to the service as well as those who wanted flowers delivered that were unable to attend. The quality of the flowers, the security of the arrangements, and the breathtaking design of the bouquets was unparalleled. Not only did Sue do an incredible job at assisting me during such an emotional time, she never even once made me feel pressured to go the expensive route. I was really impressed with the high level of service compared to the extremely reasonable cost of all their hard work. As it turns out, as Sue and I talked, we concluded that my boyfriend had actually used her services on many occasions to have flowers delivered to me! Sue will forever be my florist.
