Called to get a massage reservation for my sister on her birthday. Needed to confirm that my sister could make the time they offered and then called right back but of course, nobody answered (like the first three times I tried them this morning!) by the time someone did, the reservation was gone despite repeated attempts to ask them to reserve the spot, it was less than 10 minutes later. All they had to say was "We're busy on Mondays." Anyhow, the moral of the story is don't expect same-day customer service from this place. Their phone system is terribly run. read more

Sanctuary is absolutely amazing. I recently had a baby and my husband gave me a gift card so I would have a chance to relax. It was so much better than I could have expected. I was greeted with a choice of beverages (definitely get the mimosa). After that I was taken to a great relaxation area with reclining chairs, a fireplace, and a warm neck pillow. After relaxing there with my mimosa for a bit my esthetician took me to a private room for my manicure and pedicure. I got to sit in another reclining chair for my entire manicure and pedicure, which was a first for me. The lights were dim and relaxing nature sounds were playing--I almost fell asleep multiple times. In addition to the relaxing atmosphere the esthetician took a lot of time on my services and my nails came out great. I really could not have asked for a better experience. This is probably the only higher end nail salon in the area that I have visited and really felt it was worth the extra money. I will definitely be back! read more

As soon as you enter the doors you can tell this place is dripping with luxury and relaxation. You're greeted by incredibly kind staff and check in was quick and easy. Before taking you back to the waiting area you are offered a choice of hot or cold drinks ranging from teas, infused water, hot chocolate, Irish cream, wines and beer. Once you've made your selection your escorted back to the waiting area where there are plush couches and chairs all accompanied with places to kick your feet up. Your escort gives you a oversized fuzzy blanket and puts a heated neck wrap around your neck to allow you to begins to relax. While she's getting your drink the person doing your services (I had Haley and 5 stars for sure!!) comes in and offers a complimentary hand or foot treatment. This is just the beginning!! Once you're done in the waiting your room you're taken to your service room, they're dimly lit, smell amazing and there's ocean sounds and music playing. It's a beautiful atmosphere. Something you wouldn't expect in Cedar Rapids, IA. I had a 60-minute facial along with a paraffin foot treatment. Haley took the utmost care of me, heard my skin concerns and tailored the facial to my needs. The whole experience was so relaxing I fell asleep 3-4 times. Sorry Haley's you were lovely I hope my abrupt snoring and waking myself up didn't scare you! After my adventure was done (as she referred to it) she met me at the door with water. I love this place! Have been going for anout two years for various services (massage, facial, microdermabrasion, waxing, pedicure), and every experience has been lovely. Others have commented, and I agree that the lobby and relaxation room (plus yummy beverage) set the stage and put you in a warm and fuzzy mood. This place is amazing! I went here initially not knowing the services they provide when you walk into the spa. I asked for an eye brow waxing and was made to feel like I was there for a massage. They take you to a relaxing room and ask you first what drink you'd enjoy from a menu. They sit you down in this quiet and peaceful room with fountains and place a neck wrap while you enjoy quiet time in a very relaxing recliner. The eye brow specialist then picked me up 10 minutes later, after I enjoyed my mimosa and she asked me if I cared for a foot or hand massage which is also included for eyebrow wax. I don't know about you but this is a luxury for just coming for an eyebrow waxing. I love it here and will continue to speak highly of the service I receive. read more

My masseuse McKayla was amazing as well as my facial technician Natalie was also amazing they made me feel really relaxed and really welcome. I had some good massages here and then I did not. I told the girl at the counter and she said oh sorry. The massage was really bad and a huge waste of money and time. I sent an email because I thought they would Want to know. Not just about the Massage but about the poor way my complaint was handled at the desk. She didn't say would you like to speak to a manager is there anything we can do nothing! I did not feel valued as a client at this facility after all the money I had spent here. Someone should've reached out to me. Was given a gift card for a Brazilian wax. There was two ladies at the front desk. One was a very nice and friendly older lady maybe in her 60's. The other one was maybe in her 40's or 50's that was extremely snotty and rude. She waited on a gentleman that came out after me first. The Brazilian wax left me with hair growing out on the sides so not a Brazilian wax at all. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. A little too dark in some rooms.
