There is a trolly tour that's offered for about $18/pp which takes you around the plantation. Since we arrived late in the day, we opted not to do the trolly tour, but instead, toured the gift shop, sampled all the hot and cold teas (I think there were 12 samples), and took the 15 minute FREE factory tour. The teas? delicious! The tour? Super educational! It was great learning how tea grows, harvested, and processed. Whether you're a tea drinker or not, you will love stopping here. And if you're not in a rush, go sit in a rocker under the trees, or at one of the many picnic tables. Enjoy the fresh air and the sound of the birds. You won't be disappointed!

I'm not sure if it's the only tea plantation in America or just the oldest (I haven't been able to figure it out on Google either), but it's certainly a unique experience - tea grown in the United States! When you visit, there are several different things you can do. They offer a Factory Tour (free), where you walk past windows looking onto the factory floor and stopping at different TVs where a video about the history of the Charleston Tea Garden is played in portions at each stop/TV. There's also a trolley tour you can book. The trolley tour is a narrated tour through the tea fields, including a stop at the greenhouse. The offer a Tea Bar in their gift shop, where you can sample hot and iced teas made from their teas and shop for other souvenirs and gifts. It's a really unique experience, and I learned a lot. For example, I didn't realize that green, black, white, and Rooibos teas all come from the same leaves/plant (Camellia sinensis) - the differences come from the part of the leaf (white tea is made from young leaves) or the processing of the leaves (green tea comes from unoxidized leaves, while black tea leaves are fully oxidized)! But the experience is pretty dated - the factory tour in particular! The videos were really dated and hard to hear with some many people in the area where the videos played. And one TV - the last one - just stopped playing the video, so we missed the end of the "tour." The trolley tour was interesting but would probably be better enjoyed in the spring or summer when things are more lush and green. It was a little gray and dry in the winter. It's worth a stop if you're in the area and want to learn about tea (some parts of the experience are free, so you can just pop in for a tea tasting and a sit on the rocking chairs on their porch), but I wouldn't say you need to go out of your way to visit unless you're going to be in the area.

West Beach Conference Center

There are multiple rooms with walls that can be put up or collapsed depending on the size of the event + smaller rooms on the periphery for smaller workshops / exhibits , etc. There's only one floor (the lower floor is a parking garage, and guests don't have access to the third floor) and an outside free parking lot across the entrance. They do have catering available; our conference had a full breakfast + tea/coffee/drinks available throughout the day. The food was fine, but I do have to give credit for their house-made, very moist, and tasty blueberry muffin! The restrooms were plentiful and clean, and the staff were so very nice and friendly. It was sooo cold inside though, so definitely bring a jacket.

I was there to hear the Charleston Jazz Orchestra perform (musical director/trumpet--Charlton Singleton) and was amazed at the clarity of sound and how this room that "can" seat up to 800 was laid out well with lots of tables for 8. The program leaders were stellar as well with their teaching, guidance, and humor. They provide the materials, so no need to BYOB (bring your own bow) but after today I'm considering to get one haha and seeking out more archery opportunities! As soon as you get there, they go over the safety rules and how to hold your bow with methods on pulling back and aiming. I felt such strength to pull the bow using my back muscles, to see the arrow shoot so fast. I loved the power of the release and hearing the sound of arrow pierce the target. There's several targets with each one set according to yardage so you can either start ambitiously or work your way up. The instructors also gave us some balloons to work with to try to aim for, that was entertaining. For safety purposes they command when to retrieve arrows, and while aiming we are to remain behind the concrete lines to ensure safety. For only $20 to unleash your inner Katniss Everdeen, it's worth it! My only complaint was I wish the course lasted longer!! The park also has a 3D archery range to which you practice on fake animals. 10/10 would recommend!

My tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the house and even other movies filmed there. The tour started in the basement with stories about slave workers. The tour ends in the upstairs bedroom, learning about about Alida "Harper" Fowlkes. It you are interest in historic homes, definitely check out the Harper-Fowlkes House if you are in Savannah.

I went to the store to pick up and decided I wanted to rent an umbrella on top of my 3 chair reservation! Easy! Sign the waiver start walking out the door the kid behind the counter says yeah return this all by 5. I told him my online reservation said 10:55 8hr duration. He said "okay we close at 5" we decided to quickly get to the beach and enjoy the literal 1:30 mins we had with our rentals. I decided to give the store a call to get an understanding why the online said 8 hrs if they closed at 5 and needed everything back by 5. He said oh idk but we close at 5. Seemed to the only sentence he knew. Rushed back to return bc he did state if they were not brought back by 5 then we would be charged. Im upset bc I would have never made a reservation for chairs at 230 and pick up the chairs at 3 if I knew I was on a time crunch( 70 dollars!!!!!! ) i definitely wouldn't have added a umbrella for 30 dollars. When I returned our items I told the worker he should have let us know prior us walking out the door that we had till 5. And that they should fix their website bc it wasn't correct and he said yeah well we close at 5. (Annoying) I told him I was t happy about it and I would leave a review and contact the manager and be said okay that's fine and he said "what do you expect me to do about it" Also the umbrella/tent was awful. It was broken and wouldn't click to hold in place . We didn't even use it. It was a waste of 100 dollars. Don't reserve on the website I guess and go in person ask question. I honestly wouldn't have been so upset about it if the worker gave acknowledgment of the website being wrong or even apologized for it. And should have told us about the time of Return before we decided to add on an umbrella and I prolly wouldn't have been pleased had we gotten our moneys worth with the chairs

It was the highlight of our trip, and very reasonable prices. Capt Greg was extremely helpful with everything to do with our sailboating trip, in addition to everything to do with Charleston! He gave us so many tips and recommendations so that we could enjoy our trip and have the best experiences. He also provided waters, coolers, ice, a speaker, and had extra sunscreen if needed. Also took pics throughout the boat ride and shared that Google photos album with us the day after! Wouldn't book with any other charter when in Charleston!

The woman at the front desk assured me I was and directed me to the pool area where they were hanging out. She told me to leave me car for the moment and go say hi so I did. I came back to move it and grab my stuff and she said parking wasn't an issue that weekend so I could just pull my car forward a little and leave it for the weekend... VIP spot! The room I was in was great! It was a large suite with a couch and chairs, dining table, wet bar, and then a separate bedroom area. There was a door to a private patio that had our own access gate to the pool deck which was amazing. Speaking of the pool, it was the epitome of relaxation and the best part... adults only. Don't worry, there are a couple pools down the boardwalk where your hellions can swim. I'll take the quiet pool anyday! The staff were very helpful. They had sanitizer and masks right at the front door. The beach is a short walk down the boardwalk. And the room was amazing. I didn't get to try any eats because not everything was open except the place on the beach (which was wildly expensive), but I would love to stay here again.

The staff was accomodating. Other than the grounds near the home, we didn't journey onto the distant grounds of the plantation. There's a nice lagoon on the property. The home is old and in need of restoration. There were probably less than 100 guests for the wedding. I believe the cost to reserve the plantation is around $5000. The wedding was held until a large tent. Bug spray was offered at the residence which is also where they set up the bar area. That didn't help when my wife found herself with over 30 noseeum bites the next day. For that many guests, they only had 1 bathroom plus a airplane size bathroom inside the residence near the very small kitchen area. Being the kitchen was so small, they couldn't prepare too much food. The staff did an excellent job trying to keep up with the hungry guests. This was my first Plantation Southern Wedding. It's now off my bucket list.
