I attended the…read moreearly afternoon exhibit featuring live painting inspired by our soccer (nee Futbol) team Inter Miami FC. While I got there a little late, I understood some of the players went to the exhibit. I did have the chance to check out live painting and see some works from their "Reflections" exhibit. The space itself is a modern (concrete and glass) two-story space right on NW 2nd Avenue and a quick hop from the original Wynwood galleries like those shown in the "Wynwood 2013" painting by Andrew Soria. There's an outdoor patio space with a few sculptures and DJ space. Besides the art for sale, there was some merch such as art books. There is some street parking available nearby, but I'd recommend taking rideshare. Michelle, the owner, put together a great exhibit featuring a lot of the "original" Miami artists including Didi Rok. She also "artfully" included a sponsored beer selection and yummy charcuterie boxes to snack on.

I remember the marketplace, but this new addition is worth the visit. There is so much history that must be preserved and taught. I learned so much. I remembered learning about the different Haitian flags, but seeing them brought history to life for me. They have art displays and exhibits. They have a learning center there too, which is really cool. They have after-school and summer school programs. If you can donate to them. This is a planetarium, museum, aquarium all in one!…read more Place is very close to the Miami port. We had several hours to kill in Miami but had four large carryon bags. They luckily hold onto the bags while we explore the museum and this worked perfectly for us. In addition to the 4-5 floors and two buildings worth of area to explore, there are amazing view of Miami from most of the floors. Kids thoroughly enjoyed seeing the Florida gators and other reptiles. The aquarium has shark and a huge turtle in addition to several other varieties of sea life. Kids spent several hours in the flight museum and the interactive universe simulator model as well. We also caught one of the shows in the planetarium, make sure to reserve a spot during a time slot of your choice well before hand. Perfect stop if you have a few hours in Miami.

It took us about 2.5 hours to explore the entire place including the planetarium show. The show that worked out best with timing was called "How to Die in Space: An Interactive Adventure Through the Cosmos." The girl leading it was wonderful but as you may figure by its name, the show was not a peaceful experience. There were a number of explosions that I think scared some of the kids in attendance. The other exhibits included one about flight, the human body/mind, an aquarium, dinosaurs, and general Florida wildlife. I can't say I learned a terrible amount of new information but it was fine. I appreciate the museum's mission and it probably would be cool for toddlers-little kids.

We were the only 2 there when we visited on a Saturday morning. There are three floors of unique and varied types of art work. We parked on the street and paid via the app but there is also a parking garage right across the street Hours are Tuesday - Saturday 10-4 and admission is free. You must compete a COVID registration prior to entering. A pleasant docent monitored us as we freely walked through the 3 floors of exhibits. He was able to answer any questions we had. I recommend a visit to the De La Cruz collection and send additional time in the Miami Design District.

Admission is free which is always a bonus value when traveling on vacation. A sign located at the entrance instructed visitors to download an app to be granted entry to control visitor traffic. This took all of five minutes. Then the docent allowed entry once scanned. There were maybe 7 visitors at the time of my arrival. It is literally next to ICA Miami. So I didn't need to move my vehicle from the Miami Museum garage across the street. There was a vast selection of artifacts. It was well designed with natural lighting pouring in from the wall of windows. Docents were posted throughout talking on headsets notifying each other of the number of visitors heading in their direction. This was odd especially since they weren't leading any tours of any kind. This lifelong collection showcased much history and creativity within the culture. A little construction was happening to prepare for another installation. I enjoyed my visit.

There's this retro-style entrance with a mini food truck setup where you can grab snacks, drinks, and even cocktails before heading up. It already feels like an experience before the movie even starts. Then you get to the rooftop--and wow. Open-air cinema, Miami skyline, perfect weather... it doesn't get more "Miami night" than that. They give you wireless headphones so you can fully immerse yourself in the movie without distractions, which I thought was such a cool touch. We watched The Dark Knight, one of our favorites, and seeing Heath Ledger as the Joker on a rooftop under the Miami sky? Unreal. Still the best Joker, in my opinion. The whole experience felt relaxed, different, and honestly kind of romantic without trying too hard. Perfect for a date night or just doing something out of the usual dinner routine. Definitely adding this to our list of go-to Miami date spots.

They were not extremely comfortable (hurt my ears by the end) and the sound quality was bad, and I'm not much of an audio snob so they must have been really bad for me to notice. Also near the end they just switched and started playing the audio out loud for no particular reason, which just made me wish it had been that way the whole time. The food was also not great; I got the nacho dog and every piece of it was not quite right; chips a little stale, dog a little waterlogged, just not great. The drinks were pretty good; I got the strawberry daiquiri and another one whose name I forget, but both were pretty good. And the general experience of being on a rooftop watching a movie was still as fun and novel as you'd expect. Bathrooms were fine, parking was easy. If a movie I wanted to see was playing and someone invited me, I'd be happy to go again, but I probably won't suggest it.

You walk in to see a cute little garden/backyard feel, listening to some awesome music. As we walked in we were greeted with drinks and hors d'oeuvres. What an awesome layout of furnishing art. From the swings, to the chandeliers, which were all gorgeous, I was in aw at how beautiful it all was. The telephone booth was my favorite. The food was great too. We were served ceviche, croquettes, tacos and these awesome battered shrimp. This venue would be great for any private event. I hope to come back for another one soon.

Visited Wynwood Lab on Saturday for a private event. One of my friends rented this location for her…read more21st birthday party. I was amazed by the beauty of this venue. From what I understand you can rent this location for events, to sleep in, and it is used as a venue for Art Galleries as well. The layout is spaced out and the decor is refreshing. It is definitely different and a great place to hold events. The outside garden/backyard area is great to have an outside bar and goes well with the inside vibe. I am not sure about the process on how to rent this location, being I was just a guest. However, it looks family oriented and easy to work with. I am excited to visit Wynwood Lab again the next time I am in Wynwood or thinking about having an event.

I've been to this museum a few times before and each exhibition is better than the last. Make the time and go check out the two new solo shows that just opened - 'The Garden' by Hiba Schahbaz and 'Field of Dreams' by Diana Eusebio - they are spectacular! Both shows immediately transport you into the artists' worlds. Miami Art Week is one of my favorite times of the year. It's such a privilege to live where everyone vacations!
