Definitely visit at a time that they're less busy as it's not much fun when overcrowded. I think some people avoid this place because they think of it as a place to take selfies, when it's more of a giant studio with interesting backdrops. The Miami Selfie Museum is so. much. fun. I thought they would have tripods at each photo station, so that you could take a photos of yourself, but I guess it is a "selfie" museum. They did have a couple tripods that people could borrow, though. Next time, I will remember to bring my own tripod, as I was taking my own photos. I had a lot of fun and got some really cool photos. I absolutely spent my entire hour here, but I could see how it could be boring for some people. Celebrated last day of school here with my four kids. I love sharing experiences with my children. This was definitely a fav of theirs! My oldest on the way home said "best day ever!" It's beyond a visual experience, it's also an interactive one which is so much fun for kids. It's not that big of a place but it's just enough themed rooms to be worth the money. I highly recommended going during the week so it's not so crowded. I like that they have halo lights at each of the displays. The banana swing, mirror room with glow balls and the tub were the most popular with the kids. Definitely a must do if you live in south Florida or your just visiting. We had friends visiting from out of state when we decided to go down to wynwood and this place showed up. Figuring it would at least save us from the heat, we went on a Friday. (Great choice as I'm sure weekends must get packed plus entrance is more expensive). The place features a lot of small backdrops to take selfies, many with selfie ring lights too. From donuts to pay phones to hanging bananas, let your imagination run wild and take as many selfies as your heart desires. It was a lot of fun and we will definitely be back on another week day now. I went yesterday to the grand opening of the Miami Selfie Museum. It is not quite a museum but more like an interactive place where one can take selfies with a variety of backgrounds. Yes, you read correctly, if you are a fan of taking selfies and pictures with cool backgrounds, this is your place. It is very similar to the Museum of Ice Cream or Candytopia if any of you visited these places.. They have 25 installations throughout the "museum"... a Blue room, banana room with a swing, a bunch of Angel Wings, a bathtub, bubble gum room, dark room with mirrors, green screen and many more backgrounds. The fun part is coming with your friends that have similar interests and like taking pictures. DO NOT bring someone here if they are impatient or do not have the patience to stand around and take pictures, they will be annoyed. If you do come alone, the staff is really friendly and they will be more than happy to assist in being your photographer. We left cracking up and we did have a good time and took a bunch of selfies for the gram. Only thing I did not like is the $27 entrance fee in which I think is a little steep but hey if you think your selfies are worth $27 then go for it. They are located in the heart of Wynwood right on 25th st. Street parking only which can be a hit or miss. read more

I spent an afternoon there last week and had a blast! I had the place to myself (It's by appointment only, from what I understand) and enjoyed being able to freely explore all the different themes. The front desk manager is friendly and checked in on me several times, making herself available to assist, if I needed it. I recommend bringing several outfits (I brought 2) which will make the experience even more enjoyable. Seen this in social media and had visited a similar place in TX. Same concept but definitely less. Here was super packed. I wouldn't recommend this place for a solo trip. They do offer selfie sticks but to get l full picture a selfie stick is not sufficient at all. The decor and photo opps were super cute and built nicely. This place is so awesome! There are so many backdrops that it could take you hours to get through. It wasn't crowded at all and we felt comfortable taking as my photos as we wanted. The lighting is great and the backdrops are super creative! There's also several prop to use so you can get even more creative. We didn't even make it all the way through the museum on this visit but knew we'd be back to start the other way next time. I'd recommend bringing an outfit change if you want to make a day of it. It's totally worth the cost of admission. The girl at the front was super friendly and let us do what we wanted. I like how there aren't people breathing down your neck with unnecessary rules. If you need some fun and color in your life, I say book a ticket STAT and make your way over to this new attraction in Wynwood. I also want to add that this is a permanent installment unlike some pop-up museums that have come and gone. If you read my recent reviews, you'll know that I am very careful when selecting my outings these days due to the Covid circumstances. For those like me, you'll find comfort in knowing that there is a max amount of people allowed, 24 to be exact, and everyone adheres to social distancing guidelines. They do accept walk ins, but just know that if they're at capacity then you'll have to wait. Each reservation is for one hour so you can even walk around or grab a drink while waiting for the next reservation. Everyone was wearing a mask unless taking pictures and all the installments are either in a pod with a wall separating you OR they are more than 6 feet apart from each other. No one is staring at you making things awkward because there is more than enough fun backgrounds to go to. If one is taken, go to the other one and rotate. The service is top tier! I went by myself but I took my tripod and I was able to take dope pictures as they have plenty of ring lights and perfect lighting. If you don't happen to have a tripod, they do offer to either take the picture for you OR I was offered a selfie stick. I think this is such a great idea and I can't wait to fill my Instagram up with all these colorful and silly pictures. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! read more

This place is such a fun playground for the creative eye that loves to take photos. We have had a few installations where you go to take pictures, but the lighting is ALWAYS just not right. I had a blast attending this interactive museum! It was so much fun and glad I visited during my vacation in Miami. The museum is located in Wynwood, which is a very artsy area where you'll find graffiti and wall art everywhere. We booked a couple weeks ago through their website, and because we went on a weekend it was slightly more expensive than their weekday prices. There were plenty stations to take photos in, and they only allow about 30 people in for each one hour slot, so it didn't get crowded nor did we have to wait for long to use a station that was occupied. If you're planning a trip to Miami, this is a great place to come with friends or family. We definitely enjoyed ourselves. read more

Love the staff and idea, but $35 per person is not worth it. Especially when there are so many places outside to take pics that are full of art. It's Wynnwood folks - iconic art is posted everywhere for you to take pics FREELY! Think about it - real museums are priced around $15, they're 'huge' (bigger than this), are full of educational topics, and actually have rare historic artifacts... Here we have good lighting and good customer service for more than double the price... Over $70 for 2 ppl to take pics is kinda insulting. Reminder - im doing you a favor spending money here, so do me a favor and come up with a realistic price. The best thing you can do for price gouging like this, is to not give them money. Once the low traffic hurts them, or kills them, we'll see a fair price pop up. Then I'll be happy to visit frequently. read more

The girl at the front desk who checked us in was super sweet and even offered to take pics of us and gave us some examples of poses to try out. This is a must see whether you are a local or visiting Miami. They had ring lights on tripods available, for that perfect picture lighting. I had a reservation for 3pm, but I got there a bit late and they didn't give me a hard time at ALL. Each part of the room was to die for, you can tell that they put a lot of thought into the designs.
