The Guiness was as good as you get in Dublin or elsewhere in Ireland. The bartender and the rest of the team was very nice and helpful - something you dont often see in an Irish Pub - no matter where in the world its located. Also, the burgers etc were pretty darn good. I'd go back AND I didnt think Id ever say that about an Irish Pub. :)

C'est sans doute le pub le plus authentique de Marseille et j'y ai toujours passé un bon moment, que ce soit pour une soirée entre amis, un match de rugby ou une pinte par une calme après-midi d'hiver près de la cheminée. Les prix sont raisonnables et le service agréable. En plus c'est ouvert le dimanche ce qui est plutôt rare dans le quartier. J'espère qu'il sera encore là dans 15 ans !

The wait staff is pretty nice although service is really slow. I suppose it is not the American way where they push you out. Instead, they take your time so you can enjoy your food. For parents of little ones though, I would have appreciated some more expediency. The food was sooooo good. They serve typical Provincal food. We got their seafood platter. The freshly made garlic mayo complimented the food perfectly. I also got the shrimp and rice. This was yummy but not as good as the seafood platter. The next day we got grilled octopus with rice. The octopus was perfectly grilled. For high quality food, the price point isn't too bad. I think it is on the more affordable end.

The buildings are authentic style. If you know history of marseille it was heavily bombed during WWII as the nazi's used it as a major supply port. Thee service was so personal explaining the different beers, stouts etc. their Guinness is said to be the best. Don't be shocked at seeing cassock wearing priest enjoying a pint or two. The French are so relaxed. A group of shoulders patrolling the area. We're really nice sorry no pictures battery was low on my phone. I shouldn't have been playing games on it.
