These tasted like they were made with beef and pork, which is a more popular recipe than 100% beef. They were very soft, moist, and flavorful. But they didn't have the distinctly rich peppery taste and aroma like those from Blå Dörren. The brown gravy was creamy, rich, yummy but a bit sweet. As with every meatball dish that we saw in Sweden, they came with a side of lingonberries and mashed potato.
We also ordered a pan-fried sea bass which was delicious - didn't I tell you that besides meatballs, Sweden (and Stockholm in particular) is well-known for their seafood?
First off, the fish tasted very fresh. The skin was rubbed with rosé peppers and pan-fried to golden crispiness. The meat was soft and flavorful but without a hint of fishiness (good!). The yummy white wine sauce complemented the fish perfectly well.
The entrée also came with sautéed baby white rose potatoes, sautéed baby vegetables, and a small tomato salad. They were served separately on the side (see picture).
