The pub is a good size and has pool tables, a Darts board and TV screens showing Sport. There is a great selection of beer and other drinks, ranging from familiar commercial beers to some locally brewed booze. The clientèle is typically locals of a certain age, and I've always found the venue friendly and accommodating. You can find Live Music at the pub numerous nights each week and in my experience, the bands are always worth checking out.

A good choise of deserts if you have room and the Home made cake at £4.25 to take home or eat there.There is a family area soft play for the little one's five and under plus games for the the older ones. There is also toilets for the children in that area. There is t.v. which you can watch your children playing while you eat and have a chat. While there is a good size car park and restarant the car park is nearly always full and you have to wait a little while a busy periods. A small price to pay for the good food and service. Also I don't think you can book ahead as I belong to a walking group and when our leader tryed to book for 22 she was told no. Also we could'nt stop and have a drink after wards. I assume again because it is busy most of the time. I went with a few friends just before Christmas on the First of December at lunch time. It was'nt too busy and we sat chatting after our meal and felt under no presser to move. Dress up if you like or come in jeans, every one dresses diffent and no ones really interested as every one is there for the food. Me and Mum shared the scallops and pork belly starter whereas my Dad went for the crab risotto. Having had a sneaky taste of the risotto it was amazing - super tasty but almost big enough to be a main! The scallops were beautiful and served with a tangy sauce and perfectly cooked pork belly. Very different to anything I have had before! For my main I opted for the beef and goats cheese burger complete with homemade fries. The burger was fantastic with the strong cheese accompaniment it was very tasty. We left stuffed and with the satisfaction of real value for money - this place probably wouldn't be on your radar but worth a visit for real good home-cooked food.

Vegetarian Thai menu is excellent Specials on a lunch time and Mon Wed evening which they can do as veggie if asked. Have visited regularly and always had an excellent meal. Everything freshly cooked. The best Thai Restaurant around but hidden away so don't tell everyone or I'll not be able to get a table!
