It's been a while since I last stopped in here, it's the perfect place for a rainy day stop. They've gotten a whole bunch of new vendors since the last time I was in, and I was really excited about the aprons and small gifts I found for people I know yesterday. We had been told by several friends to check out the shops at Marlborough barn, so we figured it would be a good time to visit with spring coming up. We recently bought a house and have been on the hunt for decor, but we usually struggle to find things. Within 2 minutes of being here, we found a picture that we fell in love to hang in our kitchen. The place just kept going, and this place was totally our style with a mix of new and antique items! I loved the Easter decor they had in the annex and couldn't resist picking up some items to decorate my fireplace mantle with. I found the prices to be very fair, and any staff member we dealt with was pleasant. We will definitely be coming back up! read more

Wow, where has this place been in my must go shops to check out. Saw it on Yelp and out it on the list to check out on my day off. Parking was plentiful, although a gravel out. Going into the store we found it to be very clean, organized and fresh smelling. I say that because a lot of places have a musty smell, this did not. Well placed pens throughout the store. I was pleasantly surprised going around the store. S as I thought we would reach the end, no another area would open up. Very large area to browse. And they have what they call an Annex located across the parking lot. Which was equally nice to go around and browse. Saw a lot of nice furniture that was reasonably priced. Probably will return after sizing our home area to make sure it would fit. Did see a coffee shop on the same complex area, although we did not check it out as we had other spots to go to. All in all a very nice location with nice items to browse and buy. read more

If you are looking for true antiques this is not the place to go. Too many overpriced items you can find at Michael's and Hobby Lobby. Since I've moved here I have visited numerous times and the only dealer that has true antiques/primitives is the one we go to see and have bought several pieces from him. The owner has never once greeted me, but will greet people in before me and after me. She is also extremely rude if you ask her a question. I'd give this place no more than a two star rating. read more

What a wonderful Sunday afternoon in Connecticut! A visit to the Marlborough Barn Antiques was a wonderful way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon. We had no where else to be- so just having the luxury of walking through the multiple rooms of this establishment was what made this visit so enjoyable for me, my husband, and friends. Granted, my 7 year old son ended up on a couch in the annex eating the candy he scored at the main store- but he was still occupied while my husband haggled for a curved door, glass less- (I actually LIKED this feature- and I know it saved money in the price) - China cabinet. We recently moved and lost a formal dining room- which is fine- but I still wanted to display my China and crystal in a laid back, country fashion. I was happy with our find at the barns- it was brought in while we were there and we managed to haggle the price down $30. If you see something you like here- go For it - there is no guarantee it will still be there tomorrow. We also added some canvas prints of Washington and Lincoln and two, heavy old School garden gnomes that I am keeping inside because I dig them so much. We look forward to returning and trying out Sandler's next door. My husband visited this place monthly with his mother before she passed on his 15th birthday. He said bringing his family there today conjured up some much needed nostalgia during these stressful days. We will return soon- the Marlborough barns are not just a destination- it's an experience! read more

Every trip to Marlborough Barn is an adventure. The place is a sprawling multi-level maze of interconnecting buildings, which makes exploring it -- and finding incredible treasures -- all the more fun! There are numerous vendors set up through the barn with a somewhat centralized checkout desk. Grab a basket when you walk through the door and explore! I love visiting the Barn during their various events, sprinkled through the year and seasons. Flea markets, vintage markets, and "junk in the trunk" markets are occasions for dozens of additional vendors to set up shop outdoors. These events provide the biggest bang for your buck in terms of selection -- but arrive early for easiest parking and first pick of the vendors' wares, and plan for at least 2-3 hours of wandering! The holiday open house is a smaller event -- no extra vendors outside -- but such a blast. The usual indoor vendors decorate their booths, play music, and offer treats and beverages. This is also a great time to stock up on antique, vintage, or vintage-style decorations. I've been to the Barn several times in the past year, and always walk away with a great new (old) treasure. read more

Went for the first time to the huge flea market! There was so many vendors! It was really cool!! There is bathrooms & there was free coffee & donuts also! The only down side was parking I had to wait a while I almost left but ending up getting a spot. read more

This place is simply the best. It really does just keep going.....and going. You could spend all day just looking around. I have never gone in here and not found something fabulous. "Vintage" home furnishings and accessories is a subjective term. Some might say junk. Weed through the trash to maybe find an occasional treasure. NOTHING at this location is handicapped accessible and it is quite the challenge to go up the steep rickety steps to enter the stores. read more

My fiancée and I love this place! We have stopped in many time and are never disappointed. The store is set in a very old historic home which sets the tone before you even walk in the door. Once you walk in the door it feels like you took a step back in time. They have a HUGE selection of antiques represented by numerous vendors. The staff here is also extremely helpful. Last time we stopped in we easily spent a solid hour looking around at all the great items for sale and probably could have spent more. Great place to find items to decorate our homes! Highly recommended to anyone who loves antiques or is looking to furnish their home/s with a particular style. Love this place!! read more

On one of the first beautiful days of spring, I ventured out to Marlborough Barn with a friend for some antique hunting and had an amazing time. Dozens of vendors come together to sell collections of vintage goods in different sections of the barn and the variety was downright incredible. There were also a few areas with upcycled items and I bought the most fantastic light fixture from Second Sight Lights. I really couldn't believe I'd never made it out here before and can't wait to return. read more

Super fun to walk around, there is so much history to look at, as well as modern art and gifts. Prices are a bit steep though.

Love this place. So many things to see. You can easily spend an afternoon browsing through the different buildings and shops. They offer antiques, gifts, clothing, jewelry, repurposed furniture, lighting - they have a full hardware department, consignment stores (clothing and furniture) and even a yarn shop - lots of different vendors and the place is always changing so you can go in often and find new treasures. The antiques are my favorite and there's a LOT to see here. There is a restaurant on site as well and the food is very good. I've had lunch there a couple of times, but they're also open for dinner and, I believe, breakfast. It's a great way to spend an afternoon - oh, and there's a small candy counter in case you bring the kids:) read more

The "Barn" is soo much bigger than it looks. Every room has a different era or theme. French Provincial, Shabby Shic, and gorgeous vintage items as well as antiques. The best part: the pricing was surprisingly Affordable! LOVE IT!!! read more
