If you're looking for a consignment store that sells mirrors, furniture or lamps, look no farther than Estate Treasures & Moving Services. This is a huge, old 1900 house, turned into a thrift store. Each floor is filled with things for sale. On the first level, you'll find, clothes, some electronics, jewelry and some home items. Nothing is impressive here. Take the stairs, to the next floor, there's a notice that their elevator has failed the safety inspection. It is closed off and I wouldn't step on it even if I was paid to. It just didn't look reliable at all. Here is where the goodies can be found. You'll find the entire floor filled with lamps, really nice artwork, nightstands, and so many chairs. Everything looks to be in excellent shape. The next floor has Christmas decor, Christmas trees, and other decorations. You can also find Easter and other holiday decor, but the most is Christmas. What I saw the most of was chairs. All kinds of chairs and there's tons of them. The only reason I walked away without getting anything, is because my car's trunk is too small to fit one of the gorgeous paintings. Anyone who is moving away, or moving to the the area with nothing to sit on should check out this place. Also, this old house of course does not have an AC. It got very hot inside, very quickly. Estate Treasures is a pretty cool store if you have time to browse. You start in a pretty large room full of electronics, some smaller furniture, older toys, bottles, dvds, just a lot of household stuff.. and then you see the door in the back of the room - through that door is appliances, some very old antiquey fridges, some from the 70s, lots of ranges and small electrics.. and then you see the next room - to the left its some newer elecrtonics and random stuff and to the right its more bric a brac and glassware, toward the back of that room its books and toys .. ok on to the next room, larger furniture, beds, a pretty big tool and hardware department. it is really huge - i could easily kill an hour in here.. sometimes i have a feeling there are more rooms that i am missing. if you are in middletown and like browsing other peoples old stuff, this is a good place to stop in. If you go one day and don't like it, just come back in a week or two and it will be completely different. Some of the stuff seems overpriced and other stuff seems way cheap - so hopefully what you are looking for is cheap! read more

This place is great! It's wonderfully never-ending so give yourself at least an hour to browse. They're very organized; no digging through everything like some antique stores make you do. The people that worked there were friendly and helpful. So much to look at! I'll be back for sure. read more

This weekend head on down to Estate Treasures, They have lots of fun stuff for whatever your pleasures. Furniture, decorations, and old magazines, Toys, stereos, and music by Celine. We had a great time working our way through this giant masonry mill building filled with goodies. The first room is filled with kitchenware, old CDs and posters, decorations, kitchenware, and used medical equipment. The next room is filled with kitchen appliances such as stoves and refrigerators. Then there is a room filled with trinkets and toys, and another huge one filled with couches, chairs, and other furniture. We found a lot of nostalgic items. A few of my favorites: A poster of the original "Dream Team" A collection of old German-style beer steins (~$10 each) A mountain bike that looked like new ($45) A cool old wooden chest ($65) A box of classic 1970s Sports Illustrated magazines (plus some adult-themed ones) I walked out of this place with a totem-pole Bolo tie and a puzzle for $11 total. The owner told us they get new stuff in every few days, so we will definitely be back soon to see what else we can find. read more

BUYER BEWARE. Found several items to purchase. When I brought them to the desk I was informed they had the wrong price tag. Refused to sell it to me at the price marked. They don't honor their mistakes. She tried to tell me people switch stickers. Impossible as those things do not come off easily. She lost a customer today. When I first started going there it was good ,decent people,nice stuff fair prices then they started getting carried away with their prices. Went there one day looking for a Tarp to cover some items in the yard ,it about 16x20 ,asked the owner how much and he looks at the black guy and ask the black guy what did he think and he responded with 30.00,I nicely returned the item to where I found it and left, same evening found brand new same trap for 14.00. Went there another time for a scale ,first they didnt even know where the scales were ,then when they found location there was one rusty looking old scale and he wanted 40.00 bucks for these people have lost their mind went to Walmart found a scale 10 times better for 27 dollars. They get this stuff for free and they try to rip you off by changing you more than store prices. I wont be going back there and wouldn't reccomend anyone to shop there ,better off going to Goodwill or Walmart, seriously read more

This place used to have some decent stuff, but recently it's mostly junk. The staff overprices everything and is relatively inflexible with negotiations. They're pricing items as if they were brand new, and won't offer a low price for items that show significant wear and damage. I'm pretty disappointed in this place recently. They turned down a 20$ sale over a couple dollars difference. They think that because something is listed at a specific price on ebay that they can sell it for that price, especially after digging through their rooms that are dirty and in disarray. Good luck. This review is different than the others in that we used Estate Treasures to move my elderly mom to an assisted living home. They also came back and cleaned the house out from basement to attic. Both the move and the clean out were done efficiently. It is a very emotional time and Ed and his crew handled everything expertly. If you are looking for someone to move an elderly person or to clean out a house at a very reasonable cost this is the place. read more

Could have probably given this place a few more stars bc I was impressed that they opened up more rooms and I had some luck...that being said I kept seeing signs that said there was an upstairs and to notify a staff member to take you up there. I was hoping it was more furniture as that was what I was interested in so I asked the woman at the counter "I'd like to see the upstairs" and her curt reply was "there isn't anyone to bring you up there right now" and turned her back to me to finish whatever she was doing. I came here today to check this place out and see what they had to offer. Before I walked inside I was expecting to see just a bunch of furniture and not much else. It turns out I was wrong and found out that it is more than that even though they do have alot of furniture. The other things you will expect to see here are books, magazines, record,s cds, crt televisions, tools, radios, nic nacs and lots of other interesting shit. Just returned from this store. I was searching for a wheel chair and it become comical at first when I found myself in a maze of them and unable to get out. I called for help several times over 5 minutes but no one came. I couldn't remember the name of the place so when my husband called during this weird situation to ask how I was doing, I sat down in one of the wheel chairs and explained the situation to him So HE looked up the name, called the front desk to explain that his wife was stuck in the wheelchair area, had been calling for help for the past 5 minutes and couldn't get out. Funny so far. Then a woman came back and asked why I hadn't called up front. I explained to her exactly what my husband had just told her. At first she said she hadn't heard me then changed it to she thought I was talking to someone else. I let that part go. So we started moving chairs together quietly. Then another woman came along and again asked why I hadn't come up front. I went through the entire explanation AGAIN, still quietly, but apparently with a bit of an edge to my voice. She said to me, "Calm down deary." There was now a clear path so I started to leave. She said, "Come back when you're having a better day DEARY". My reply to that is not printable. My husband could hear the entire conversation. The woman walked back up front, hung the phone up without saying a word to my husband. One of the most bizarre experiences I've ever had. This is really sad because we have always had good luck finding things at this store and were assisted by friendly people. Perhaps they're under new management? I have no idea. read more
