Love this outdoor mall. Unfortunately, as everywhere, brick and mortar stores are dwindling, but there are still quite a lot of store left to peruse. Since this is an open air location, there is not food court, but plenty of restaurants at the mall as well as the surroundings. You will not go hungry here. And of course there is a movie theater and even event spaces to rent. I hope it survives the declining retail climate, because this is a very convenient location for me. read more

With all the time I've been spending in Hendricks and Putnam counties dealing with my father's passing, it seems inevitable that I'd find my way to The Shops at Perry Crossing. This is an outdoor shopping mall, a moving away from the traditional mall concept and yet it has its own issues (especially during winter). Like most malls, Perry Crossing has experienced some of the more traditional anchors going away. You've definitely got some of the familiar places from a traditional mall - JCPenney, Yankee Candle, Bath & Body Works, Claire's, Dick's Sporting Goods and others. Food options here? Bru Burger, El Toro, Hot Box Pizza, Schakolad Chocolate Factory, Rocket Fizz, Stone Creek Dining Company, Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt, and Theo's Italian. There's a Barnes & Noble here. There's AMC Perry Crossing. There's a splash pad for the kiddos. There's a family restroom between Zales and Yankee Candle (also available for nursing moms). Curb cuts are solid. Accessible parking is plentiful. Because this is an open-air concept, be aware that as accessible as everything is you'll still be going from store-to-store outside for the most part. So, plan accordingly. I generally do fine here, however, for those with mobility concerns or who might require assistance it's important to remember that during inclement weather you're not really protected from the elements. Overall, I like this shopping center. Things are well labeled, well organized, and parking is pretty reasonable. While it's not my favorite Indy retail spot, I often forget how much I like it until I am here. read more

This shopping hub is located approx. five miles west of the Indianapolis International Airport, The Shops at Perry Crossing is an open-air shopping center that offers an inviting mix of shopping, dining and even special events. It includes AMC movie theater and some of high quality eateries. It's more similar to the well-known distant premium shopping outlets however this hub is within the metropolitan of Indy. I do like the essence of the shopping overthere though it needs more of the leading shopping departments. read more

I dig this place. It's an outdoor shopping mall, which means it's amazing to be here when the weather is nice, because you can walk around and browse without having to breathe recycled air like at an indoor shopping mall. During the colder months, though, you need to plan your trip carefully, because it's an outdoor shopping mall, and, obviously, you're exposed to the elements as you travel from one store to the other. Alright, well, we've discussed how an outdoor shopping mall works, so let's move on. The Shops at Perry Crossing is anchored by JCPenny, Barnes & Noble, Dick's Sporting Goods and Carmike 18 Cinemas. Old Navy and DSW shoe store are also big stores in this mall. It has two stories, which is neat. Car traffic drives right through the outdoor mall, so pedestrians should be aware of this as they cross the streets. Apparently, there is metered parking right in front of some of the stores, so that's an option, but there is free parking in the outdoor lots if you don't mind walking an extra 20 seconds or so. read more

Love shopping here if I have multiple stops I need to make. Sad that some of the huge anchor stores stand empty...hopefully they can fill that retail space soon...we def need some new boutiques and things! But if you need the normal mall stores then perry crossing is ok! Stone creek and Bru Burger are great! I will definitely miss the cladaugh. Plainfield needs more dining options. read more

Since moving to Plainfield this mall has improved quite a bit. There area more restaurant options, like BRU Burger and Stone Creek and stores that I like to shop. There are several empty stores, but they seem to be filling up pretty quick. It's nice to stop in quickly to a store you need to visit instead of going through an entire mall. read more

This mall has really seen a tremendous facelift! We are seeing new, trendy stores and good restaurants (thank you, Cunningham Restaurant Group!). Being an outdoor mall, its so easy to quickly park and pop in to the store of your choice without wasting a lot of time. I love this! Sometimes parking is a nightmare (think weekends), but the walk is never very far. I hope that we see all of the empty storefronts filled in the near future! read more

The mall was purchased and renovated over a year ago and this was a much needed facelift for the what was metropolis mall. The mall exterior has been completely redone creating a very appealing and pleasant area to walk through with Family and friends. The grounds have been equipped with more seating for groups which offers places to meet. The facelift has also brought new businesses to the vacant lots. Big names such as Bru Burger, H&M, and Forever 21 to name a few are now open in this area which has brought a renewed and unique experience to the mall. I love this outdoor mall! Recently changed from Metropolis, this Plainfield shopping gem comes equipped with entertainment, clothes and delicious eats. The pillars of the mall are the large JC Penney, Barnes and Noble, and Dick's Sporting Goods. My wife typically goes to Ulta, Charlotte Russe, and VS... good for her. I typically get to choose the food, though. It's either Hotbox Pizza (the only one on the west side!) or Claddagh if I want to get my Irish on. On nights we're feeling fancy, we'll hit up Stone Creek for good steaks, and polish it off with a trip to Carmike Theaters. I was a big fan of Metropolis, but this change of ownership and layout has been a positive shift. For instance, there is much more parking than there was previously. There's also an adorable footbridge with life fish (when weather permits) outside JCP. I'm a big fan and typically make it a point to visit The Shops at least once a week. There are some places you just like being, you know? It's like putting on your favorite shirt, the one that fits you perfectly. That's how it feels for me. ...Let's pretend that didn't get mushy and sentimental. I go to Dick's, throw footballs, punch punching bags, manly manly man.... There. Fixed it. read more

I like that they built this mall on the west side. I like that this mall is trying really hard. I just don't like the 100% outdoor mall concept for Indiana. I don't believe any outdoor mall will ever be successful in Indianapolis for its suburbs. Our weather just isn't cooperative enough. It isn't the most fault. But it does keep patrons from going store to store when the weathers anything but perfect. And the parking situation, well, it's awkward when the mall is super busy. I like many of the stores at the mall. But nine times out of 10, I go to the store of my destination, I never glance at another store before leaving the mall. If I had parked and walked inside, like I do at Greenwood mall or other indoor malls, I would most likely shop around a bit just because I'm already 'in' the place. The indoor concert just makes up selling and cross-selling easier, and I'm wondering if that is why so many stores come and go so quickly in the outdoor malls. I do like the restaurants at Perry Crossing. And the movie theater is great (I would go more if prices were so expensive). read more

I love this mall! It's upgraded so much since last time I was here. A lot of the mainstream stores are here. I love that Kirklands is there! It's nice that you don't have to actually go IN a mall to visit the stores you love. There's a movie theatre there too! Perfect for when it's nice outside. Lots of places to eat and shop. Better than Circle Center or even Greenwood Park Mall. read more

I enjoy the outdoor mall with the firepits but I still enjoy a canopy or few covered areas for protection from mother nature. Christmas time is very festive with the carolers, fire pits and everyone bundled up scurrying from store to store in the snow. When I was requesting change for the parking meters I was told by one of the shop clerks that it is a donation used for Metropolis up keep of the outdoor area and they don't write tickets. Whether true or not I still place money in the meters when I have change. I haven't received a ticket yet and hope it's true. Terrific location to spend the day shopping, have lunch at one of the many resturants, continue shopping at the many stores you haven't hit yet, then dinner and a movie without leaving the area. Plainfield has certainly grown up in the past 15 years with the addition of a new outdoor mall, restaurants, shops along with our favorite small businesses. Less traffic and many restaurants and stores to enjoy. read more

I really enjoy shopping at this mall. There's a store for everyone in my family to shop at. The new H&M is amazing, it has two floors! They've also added an additional parking lot which was much needed. The dining options are good. The only con is when winter comes it's not so much fun walking around in the cold. read more

to be honest- I am not sure why they charge for parking meters to park in front of stores, when most of the time the place is not busy. That is really odd to me- it's not helping anything i usually find free parking by the one or two stores i want to go to and then avoid the rest. Also some of the one ways and stops are really confusing. Lastly- more food options actually at the "mall" instead of having to drive somewhere else close by would be fine with me. read more

I love the idea and architectural appeal of this mall outlet, but it is lacking on the variety of stores Clay Terrace and Hamilton Town Center have. I will say RAVE Motion Pictures theater is my favorite. I love the design, the large digital screens, and the tables you can eat at throughout the theater. read more

It's got nearly everything a mall does without the major anchor stores (I don't count JC Penny and Old Navy). The worst part about it is shopping in the cold and rain are not fun! And we all know how Indiana weather is. One minute clear, the next minute monsoon. read more

If you're looking for a quick buy, this is the go-to. If you're looking for variety, I definitely wouldn't come here. This mall was very hyped up when it was first being built, but it's turned into more of an outlet mall. The few nice stores they do have never have the newest arrivals in stock. A lot of stores have closed down since it's opening. With that being said, it's in a very convenient location with easy parking if you're trying to get in and get out. read more

First time here(JC Penny)in awhile. Nice selection. Nice prices and fairly clean and organized for a fairly busy Saturday, But a big pet peeve is wi fi you can log onto, But can't access the internet. Not even get to get Penny's website to get coupons. read more

This is now the shops at Perry Crossing. Everything is new, the town center in the middle dale now has tables and chairs and a comfy covered area with soft chairs and a fireplace. I hope they get Charming Charlie's here! read more
