Love the showroom- Marilyn, Rosanna, Nicole and all the ladies that work there are amazing. Im a surgeon with a very busy schedule and also not a size xs- they are always welcoming and will send me items they think i will like. I've been shopping for little things here and there from the store for years. staff has always been aloof but I didn't care much. The other day I walked in to browse. Being a (very visibly) pregnant lady, I had to use the restroom. I saw the shop had one, the door to which was open and there were no signs I could see saying not to use the restroom. As I'm in there someone starts banging aggressively on the door and yells "restrooms are not for customers!" I apologize from the restroom and say I didn't know and will be right out. I rush out, embarrassed, apologize again, and get the nastiest look from what I think is the owner. incredibly unpleasant. For it's worth, I moved to Miami in 2015 and they've been selling the same tired decor for 8 years now... the same black and white matte tableware, the same black and white "boho" pillows, the same cliche city themed table books from Assouline ("Marrakech Flair!") that everyone thought was chic a few years ago. Save your money and go somewhere where they actually have something interesting to offer or at the very least don't try to crucify a pregnant customer for accidentally using their restroom. read more

This store has beautiful home goods and women's clothing but not beautiful enough to spend a dime in . The mother/ daughter team are as rude and arrogant as could be. I've spent a lot of money in there over the years and they still don't greet you when you enter or ever ask to assist you. The truth is, whatever they are selling , you can find elsewhere. I FEEL SORRY FOR THE OWNER. I waited several months to write this review in an effort to be fair. My husband and I bought two expensive chandeliers from this store for our new home. The owner of the store promised we could return the chandeliers if they didn't work in the house. When I got home, I held the chandeliers up and they didn't work, so I called to tell the sales lady (a couple weeks later...we had to evacuate for the hurricane). The receipt the store printed for us was printed with ink that was from an empty cartridge, and I could barely make out any print on the receipt. I had also signed an e-receipt on an iPad in their shop and they "sent an email receipt to my email" though it was my husband who paid for the chandeliers so he should have received the receipt. I never received said email, nor is that the proper way to send a receipt--to someone whom it doesn't belong to. It was my husband's purchase. When I called to tell the sales lady how beautiful the chandeliers were and how I regretted them not working in my new home, she said indeed that I could return them...FOR A STORE CREDIT. When I bought the lights, I had asked them specifically if I could return the chandeliers if they didn't look good in the space, and the manager said, "yes, no problem!" She never mentioned once for a store credit, nor did the receipt say it like she swore it would (the ink had run out and the receipt was basically useless). I explained to the manager, and the owner, the situation, and how they must be mistaken, because we had had a different conversation just weeks before. I was told I could return the chandeliers without a problem. I loved that idea, that I could return them, because it meant I could patronize my local stores and give them my business over big business online retailers. I love to see my town thrive! Especially female business owners. The owner of The Showroom, from the very beginning of the return process, was shockingly mean and blamed me for: A) Not assuming a return meant it would be for a store credit. She said, "all of my customers know that!" B) The missing ink on the receipt. The missing fine print at the bottom of the receipt with the return disclaimer saying all returns are for store credit was...my fault. Her printer "never runs out of ink!" She said I must have done something to the receipt. I told the owner how unfairly I believed I was being treated. She also said how I was the first customer in all of history to ever have a problem with her return policy. I told her that I didn't have a problem--I was confused why she thought there was a problem. I was only doing what we spoke of weeks before. Why would she promise I could return these chandeliers and then treat me so poorly after spending our money with her? I may have even said on the phone to her, "is his even real?!" I could not believe she was treating anyone with such unkindness, and making up false statements to cover herself and not take care of her customer. No one deserves to be spoken to the way she spoke to me over the phone. Eventually, she agreed that she did say I could return the chandeliers, but that she would only accept one of them back...the least expensive one. She would write me a check for it. The other chandelier, I would get a store credit for and she would help me find another chandelier from her shop that would look good in my house. I told her at this point, it wasn't about the money, it was about the principle. She promised me one thing and did the opposite, and none of the receipts or hard signed copies lined up with any of her claims. I never ended up going back to The Showroom to return the lesser expensive chandelier and claim the credit for the more expensive one. I kept them lights because I felt sad, mostly for my kind husband who wanted to surprise me with beautiful lights in our new home, and who felt taken advantage of when I told him about the strange phone call I'd had with the owner. The Showroom makes me feel sad and taken advantage of. I'm glad I waited to write this review because it made me sympathize with the owner. I feel sad for her, that she felt like she had to be mean to me to keep her business running. I forgive her for being so mean. It takes courage to believe in the truth and then keep your word. I will continue to shop online and on Commodore Plaza...but around The Showroom. I am truly sorry for whatever happened to the owner that made her feel so hurt that she had to project it on me. I hope she finds peace and kindness--we all deserve it. read more

Terrible return policy. I purchased over the phone, and picked up in person, with the receipt in the bad, yet it was my responsibility to have know what their receipt's return policy stated. I finally made it into this Coconut Grove-based boutique last week and scored a python Hunting Season handbag, comfy cotton bodysuit and Citizens of Humanity pearl-swathed jeans. Yes, from off-the-beaten-path home decor (think chandeliers, pillows, poufs, throws, etc.) to boyfriend jeans -- The Showroom has got you covered. The added bonus? Owner Marilyn Sanchez is really sweet and always styles me as I can get frazzled when shopping. All in all, this place is a welcomed surprise in the groovy Grove. read more

The Showroom is my go to store!! I love everything is this beautifully curated shop. You walk in and you are overwhelmed with all the cool and eclectic items that cover pretty much every inch of the place. From home decor, jewelry, bags to the best essentials in clothing. They are constantly updating and rearranging there inventory. If there is something you like, make sure you buy it because it might not be there later. The owner has great style and has a staff that is extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. I've even shopped curbside when in a hurry. I happened to walk into this store one day after having lunch in coconut grove. Hands down its the best small boutique in town. They carry all the nice brands that you can usually only find at the high end dept stores,so for someone like me that hates those big stores, this store checks off all the boxes. They have great jeans, tops, dresses, both casual and fancy. The owner does an amazing job at putting outfits together for me. Highly recommend checking them out. The Showroom Miami is to be considered the IT store. I have been a customer of theirs since the store opened and I can honestly say that Its my personal favorite. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion but when it come to this store in particular it's impossible to disagree with the fact that it's the very best of its kind. The showroom carries top quality clothing and home decor but the store goes far beyond their exquisite and exclusive merchandise... What's a store without customer service ? The staff and owner truly understand what customer service is all about. I've never been taken such good care of and as a customer I truly value that.
