When I came into this branch, it was really busy and I was told to expect a wait of around 10 minutes for a table, the branch seemed a little small and packed into a small place, hence at times it was really narrow and hard to get around and did feel slightly uncomfortable.
Most of the staff here seemed nice enough, it is also worth noting this branch only serves halal chicken, and the same applies for the other branch in Preston at Deepdale Retail Park, and the next nearest branch in Blackburn.
Eventually, after sitting down, I ordered a medium chicken butterfly with one peri-salted chips and one regular chip, the food was served in around 20 minutes which was average, especially for how busy it was.
The cleanliness of this branch was quite poor, for example, some of the cutterly was dirty, even after it had apparently "been washed" which was frustrating, it was also hard to source down pepper, especially with the fact the large pepper shaker had no pepper in.
My food quality was between the average and good mark, the chips had very little peri salt on the side which I requested it on, and at times the chips lacked that good, crisp taste and tasted more poor, soft and soggy.
The location of this branch is good and it is a nice and much needed branch in Preston city center, however the branch as a whole has immense difficulties for me due to issues with the size and overall feel of the store, while also considering other factors such as slight quality issues with the food, the fact this place does not give the choice between halal and non-halal chicken and the cleanliness, I sadly feel this branch deserves nothing over a two star rating with the comfortability and feel of the branch having a huge factor in that overall decision.
