I just wish they had more options for food, they had very good side options but for the main meal it was really just chicken. The decor and atmosphere of this restaurant is very nice and has a great vibe to it.

When I came into this branch, it was really busy and I was told to expect a wait of around 10 minutes for a table, the branch seemed a little small and packed into a small place, hence at times it was really narrow and hard to get around and did feel slightly uncomfortable. Most of the staff here seemed nice enough, it is also worth noting this branch only serves halal chicken, and the same applies for the other branch in Preston at Deepdale Retail Park, and the next nearest branch in Blackburn. Eventually, after sitting down, I ordered a medium chicken butterfly with one peri-salted chips and one regular chip, the food was served in around 20 minutes which was average, especially for how busy it was. The cleanliness of this branch was quite poor, for example, some of the cutterly was dirty, even after it had apparently "been washed" which was frustrating, it was also hard to source down pepper, especially with the fact the large pepper shaker had no pepper in. My food quality was between the average and good mark, the chips had very little peri salt on the side which I requested it on, and at times the chips lacked that good, crisp taste and tasted more poor, soft and soggy. The location of this branch is good and it is a nice and much needed branch in Preston city center, however the branch as a whole has immense difficulties for me due to issues with the size and overall feel of the store, while also considering other factors such as slight quality issues with the food, the fact this place does not give the choice between halal and non-halal chicken and the cleanliness, I sadly feel this branch deserves nothing over a two star rating with the comfortability and feel of the branch having a huge factor in that overall decision.

Which is great on the whole, although I could also hear the stomach grumblings of my fellow diners (accusatory groanings making me feel wholly responsible). My partner gave me a prep talk before I came in here - DON'T embarass me in front of my friends, we're already late because of you Suitably chastised, and plastering on a fake smile and a dollop of charm we went in, and made our way to the table. Despite such ominous beginnings, this place helped soothe any piqued ego's with it's calming atmosphere and massaged our palates with it's incredible food. I know it sounds slightly patronising but it really does feel like you're eating authentic Indian food here. The kind that Indians would want to eat. We went for a mixed grill starter to share and the meat was succulent and cooked well. For mains we ordered a selection of vegetarian and meat dishes and were beguiled by the simpleness of each dish, freshly prepared and intoxicatingly delicious. The prices stared at the higher end of the spectrum, but somehow the whole bill still came in at just over £40 for 4 of us, which I believe is very affordable. This place, it would appear, is full of nice surprises. Take your date here if you wish to see them again.

Nando's on Blackpool Road in Preston is located as part of the Deepdale Shopping Park, a short…read moredistance away from the city centre, right by the football stadium that Preston North Ends calls home. It's pretty much your typical Nando's, with this location serving halal chicken. As with any Nando's in general, you can order via the Nando's app / QR code at your table, or if you prefer the personal touch there is always the option of ordering at the counter. If like me, you have an allergy, you will need to order at the counter with a manager to ensure the request is sanctioned correctly. I did find the food expensive for what it is, as of March 2024, my meal came to £15, which I find to be a little expensive for fast casual, and that doesn't include extras such as drinks and Perinaise. The prices also seem to be rising out of control too, even in the current climate they seem to be putting their prices up every couple of months, much more frequently than rivals. They also don't offer regular mayonnaise despite being a chicken restaurant, so you'll have to choose between their vegan alternative or pay extra for their Peri-naise (mayonnaise mixed with peri-peri sauce). My meal as a whole came to £16 with tap water, they would only allow me to have a small glass of the water too, so I annoyingly had to keep going back to the water fountain for more during my meal. This particular location is reasonably good, I was able to get a table and was served quite quickly despite visiting on a busy Saturday. The staff seemed friendly enough although service seemed more fast-paced as they had to deal with the crowds. There were a lot of tables in the restaurant, some seemed a little close together and difficult to pass through, but they did a good job getting food out considering this. My food was OK, although I've certainly had better at other Nando's locations. The chips were piping hot, but the rest of my meal was warm. The portion size of the chicken and the fries was good, although they seemed to be ungenerous with the peri-salt on the chips, and I had to request extra. I also noticed the portion of spicy rice was less than normal, and felt flattened down to look like there was more than there was. 3* - Many positives for sure, but also many areas for improvement.

My family of 10 and I came in on an afternoon and the servers were super accommodating with us. We waited for about 15 mins before they seated us. The UK menu is deff more extensive than the US menu so to try something different, I went with the sunset burger with creamy mash and garlic bread as my two sides The sunset burger was so delicious! I was skeptical about the red pepper relish but it was delicious with the hot sauce I chose for my chicken. The creamy mash (which I had very high expectations for) wasn't that great :( I prefer the the US version of is. Everything else that the rest of my party got was great. The servers were very sweet and the location is big enough to accommodate big parties.
