Rented a snowboard package for my daughter this past Monday. Reservation was easy to make online. The staff was efficient and friendly. Gear was in good shape, clean and new. They fit her properly and she did well on the mountain. Drop off was quick and efficient with their drive thru drop-off. They have a bonus free gear rental once you hit a certain amount of rentals that doesnt expire. Pricing was fair and much more efficient than renting up at Sunrise. Highly recommend. read more

When they had to order the right size boot for me they even gave me a free boot rental so I could still ride the following day. Good place with good people. I've owned my boots for about 14 years and needed a tune-up. I called and Mike was happy to get things setup. Later the same afternoon I was able to spend some time with Matt getting dialed in with some minor adjustments and gained a great deal of knowledge about my equipment at the same time. While ski shops can be crazy at times, both guy had great attitudes and never seemed to rush anything. They took time with everyone and love the work they do. Don't rent here - they're rude. We drove to the back to return a set of ski equipment and we wanted to separate what we owned and what we rented. We were greeted with rude eye rolling and a bad attitude. First and last time we will rent from them. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Boots were extremely painful. They caused me excruciating shin pain. Aside from asking if my foot fit, no further questions about the actual fitting. Upon return, I walked in the store with all rentals to ask a few questions about further rentals. Was told immediately that I would have to get in my car and would have to drive around back. I walked outside, with all rentals in hand (the back was literally 15 feet away) with no cars in line, and once again was told to get in my car with the rentals to drive in the back. Once up there, with my car, employees would not walk over to car because they "didn't want to step in snow." Remind you... this is a snowboard/ski rental shop. Will never return or recommend. read more

Friendly, knowledgeable staff, and a great selection of merchandise! The Skier's Edge does it all--rentals, waxes, tuneups, you name it! The staff does a great job of getting renters fitted for equipment and out the door quickly so they can get up to the slopes and have a great time playing in the snow. And the drive thru return system makes returns a breeze! They have a large section of the store dedicated to retail and the products they sell are top quality and worth every penny. When faced with a ski trip to Sunrise and no ski equipment, we went with Skiers Edge for the rental route. I called the day before to reserve the equipment. At first they said that they would only do rental reservations the day of, but they would make an exception for me. The next day, we stopped by the shop to pick up the equipment on the way to the mountain. As we walked in, the shop wasn't extremely crowded which worried us for the amount of snow we would hit when we got to Sunrise but that's a different story. The staff was friendly and attentive and got to us right away. While filling out the paperwork, I looked around and noticed a decent selection of ski equipment and clothing at a competitive price. So, in case you forget something while on the way to go skiing, this is a good option for a last minute stop. The staffer fit me for the skis quickly and efficiently. I was impressed with the quality of snow boots and skis they gave me. We only rented the skis for the day but you can rent them daily or multiple days. The skis, boots and poles worked great during my ski day. After a long day of the slopes, we headed back down the mountain. I was pleasantly surprised with how quick the rental drop-off was when we got back to Skiers Edge. You just pull around back, drop off your skis and then you're on your way. So, I might have gotten lucky that day, but based on my experience with Skiers Edge rentals, they provide quick service for a great price and excellent gear. You can't beat that! read more

First time at Skiers Edge. Usually rent our skis at Sunrise Ski "Resort". After checking the new rental price at Sun Rise we decided to give Skiers Edge a try. Staff was super friendly and the cost for rentals were $25.00 compared to $40.00 at Sunrise. The process to get skis was very easy and very efficient. The Staff was great and eager to help. We were in and out in 15 min and saved over $60.00 with Military Discount. Return was even easier. Drive to the back of store, they come out grab your stuff and your off. 5 min max. You can make it all even faster if you reserve online prior to showing up. Will definitely be our go to place from here on out. read more

Our pick up was amazing Jess was incredibly helpful but the drop off experience left much to be desired, we had other equipment in the bed of our truck and had to bring the boots out of the cab to the man who was taking them back. I understand that staying in the car takes less time but only one person got out and there was absolutely no reason for the way he spoke to her. He was obviously very emotional and can not keep that from interfering with his work, get some therapy and work through your issues sir. One thing he said, " every time someone leaves their car it adds ten minutes to my day" so I suggest just throwing it out the car as you drive by to save some time and he can get out of work quicker. (he was at our truck for 5 minutes and if he didn't argue with people it probably wouldn't add so much time to his day) read more

I have been there twice in the past week to try to rent snowshoes. Both times I was the only customer in the shop, and both times the employees were extremely rude, condescending and unhelpful (except for one young lady working behind one of the counters). The first time I was in, I had gone in there for information... I explained I live here, but I've never rented snowshoes before, that my friend and I would like to rent snowshoes on Monday and I wasn't sure how to go about it and did I need to make reservations? Or how does it work? The rude punk kid said "They are 24 hour rentals. But you can't rent them on Mondays. You can rent them on Sundays or Tuesday, but you can't rent them on Mondays". I was confused so asked "Why can't I rent them on Mondays?" He snarkily said "We're closed on Mondays, says so outside" and kind of snickered like he was proud of himself for being a smartass. Then a man hollered something over the railing of the second floor. Then the young lady behind the counter explained that "OH! Ok (motioning to the guy upstairs), since the owner will be here Monday afternoon at 5, you can come in about 5pm on Sunday and rent them and then return them Monday afternoon at the same time, since it's 24 hour rentals that would work. Or you can come Saturday and rent them to return on Sunday or come in any other day next week". I asked them if I needed to make reservations since we just had a big snow storm and they said no. That was yesterday. So! I go today to rent the snowshoes (We decided to just go today and not deal with the whole Sunday / Monday fiasco). When I walked in, a lady, who I am assuming is either the owner or the owners wife tells me they're all sold out!! I said "Ok, hmm, well we were renting them to use tomorrow anyway, so can I just come in the morning after they come back in? She said she couldn't tell me if or when any of them would even be back! I asked "But don't you have a 24 hour return policy"? She said yes but they have rented out SO many today that they can't possibly keep track of when they will be back!! (Really?) So again I asked if I can make a reservation, she said you can only make a reservation on-line, but I explained that I originally tried to make a reservation, but their website doesn't have an option to reserve snowshoes, only skis and other equipment, which is why I came in yesterday to inquire. She turned and looked at the young lady working behind the counter, who verified what I just said was true. Then she huffed and gave me forms to fill out and said she can "try to keep an eye on it and can maybe let me know when and if the size I need comes back in, but reiterated that it wouldn't be a reservation". (what the heck does that even mean?) Then she also added that she'll give me an extra "in case I mess up", in a totally condescending tone like I am completely stupid. I just took the stupid forms and left and I will NOT be back. There are other ski shops in town that I'm sure would appreciate my business just as much if not more than that place! (Try Krissie's Ski or even Honda Ski instead)! Ya know, you would think that a little ski store, that is a completely dependent on the season AND it's customers for their livelihood, would treat their customers a little better! Especially since we've had such a bad snow season, (this was our first big snow storm all season), and since we're in a small town with at least 2 other ski rental shops are here! Maybe that's why I was the ONLY person in the shop both times I went! read more

I recently stopped at Skiers Edge to do a Molded Liner heat on my new Board Boots. I have been renting at this place for years, and I think the old owners name was Bob. I was helped by a gentleman that I later learned was the new owner, and he was awesome! We had some questions about the bindings on a board my girlfriend had borrowed, and he took the time to show us how they worked. I returned later and was assisted by a lady I think her name was Brooke but I am not sure?? She went above and beyond to help us and it was greatly appreciated. I have been coming here for twenty years, and even with an ownership change it looks like this will continue to be our go-to Board shop when we are in the area!! read more

1st time renting at this place. It was the best rental experience for ski/snowboard equipment we've ever had. Friendly staff and great equipment. Prior visiting Sunrise, this is the place to get your gear. You can already make a reservation online. They even have a drive through for rental returns. We used to rent at Sunrise but never again.
