Angie, the owner, was super prompt to reply and booked my first appointment. On appointment day, it wasn't easy to walk through the door (my nerves had returned) but Angie made me feel comfortable from the moment I stepped in. We visited about the various treatments, she explained what each involved and helped me make the choices to reach my goals. Another fear I had was a younger person not understanding an older person still wanting to be sexy for her husband (mine's pretty awesome!), for wanting smoother legs and a prettier complexion. After confessing that fear to Angie, she said one of the main reasons she does what she does is that she likes making women feel better and that no woman is too old for that: she understood! My Sugarista, Hannah, is fantastic. Super nice, talkative (which is great to distract from the…read morepain) and non-judgemental. As someone who is both overweight and trans, it is so important to have be non-judgemental and she is great. And i always get the services I request. My only complaint is that the company itself imposes unrealistic time constraints on the Sugaristas. Especially for first time sugaring or people who are overweight, there should be exceptions to the tight time frames they have. My first appointment was with a different Sugarista who was also fantastic, but she was newer and she had to rush through the end of my service to meet the deadlines imposed by management. It still worked out pretty well, but I could tell that she was stressed and the parts she did at the end weren't as thorough because of it. Again, THIS IS NOT AN ISSUE WITH THE SUGARISTAS. They are great. But these time constraints just aren't always realistic. Overall, great service, great people, but the structure of appointments and time frames needs work.

She took her time and did a good job; just taking over an hour was a lot. My builder gel mani was another issue though. My last salon did a really bad job (had new girl since mine left) and my nails are damaged. Builder gel is done differently than regular gel and my corners started crumbling within the week.
