(I'm referring to their facebook pages) However, Buckingham South has been around since 1999. The former page was so trashed with horrible reviews, that a new one was needed. My dad was in that place for almost 5 years. His last year, (and the one and 1/2 before it) his monthly "rent" was upwards of $8,000.....even when he was in the hospital for 3 weeks out of four in the month. I have seen things I could never even imagine at a facility that I THOUGHT I could relax a little and visit my dad whenever I wanted. I have pictures of everything I'm saying to back up these egregious conditions. EVERYTHING First before anything else, there is only ONE CARETAKER per FLOOR! One horribly worked and underpaid caregiver for 25 residents per floor. Should one of the four call in sick or be needed to take care of her own family, then her floor is divided between the other overworked and underpaid staff. I personally know 3 caretakers who have quit--not because they didn't enjoy the residents and their families--but because there were so many infractions that were ignored when reported. I personally saw a blind woman in her wheelchair who had been at BS for under 3 weeks-left unattended outside-roll off the pavement into the 6 inch space between the curb and a parked car. It was one of the worst things I've ever seen. I was the only one with her until a caretaker with a conscience helped her and relieved me. It was awful. There is no security there. I facetimed my dad only to find him on the MEDIAN on Abercorn. I immediately called Rita who argued with me that my dad had just had a "beautiful dinner" and was in the dining room. First, the food is horrible. But most important was the fact she had no idea where my dad was, and she wasted valuable time arguing with me that my dad was inside. My dad was confused and scared. I have never seen my father like that. I'm still traumatized. I immediately got in my car and drove the 12 hours to Savannah. When I confronted Rita about this gross negligence, she told me that she couldn't be everywhere. I told her I didn't expect her to. She refused to hire any security and just accepted the risks, I suppose. These are not even the worst things I saw. I have pictures, audio and video tapes, past bills, and former staff who are looking for a way to get this information out. I'm happy to share all with anyone who calls or DMs me. My heart breaks for the people with no one checking on them. Those are the residents who are preyed upon. Only last Sunday, Rita deprived a bedridden patient with no family, of his only visitor, a former employee, who ever came to see him. Because of all the health violations the staff were supposed to ignore, she felt she could no longer stay there and left, rather than risk her license. Rita tried to get her back on staff, but she refused. When she went to visit her former resident and friend, Rita got wind of the situation, she immediately burst into this bedridden man's room and forced the only bright spot in his day out of the facility........all the while the resident kept repeating, "She's my friend!" And Rita even threatened the resident--who has been there since 1999--that if he liked this former caregiver so much, he could go to her new job. Remember, he's been one of the first people at this "assisted living" home. This poor man has been there over 20 years. It's all he knows at this point. Ask Rita who's driving Dr. Hubby's car.

He loves the karaoke night, and the coffee/danish morning. He visits with other patients and the staff make sure he is well taken care of. I highly recommend Riverview and when the time comes to place David for long term care it will most definitely be at Riverview in Savannah, GA.

She needed care off and on from 2017 until 2020. My mother later told me on a couple of occasions that her "caregiver" stole my mother's iPad and laptop from her house. This was what she could tell had gone missing so far. The manager Maureen refuses responsibility and tells me that the ownership has changed hands since then. Her apathy and avoiding responsibilities is typical, lazy Georgia trash. Do not hire from this place.

When she is a sitter, Mo brings the resident out of the room to engage in activities. Very attentive with so much compassion. Not only is my resident very social, but she is also very interactive when Mo brings her out of her room to enjoy others company. Meals, snacks and nibbles are always given when Mo is sitting. She never asked if he had a co-signer. She asked about his income. The LEAST they could have done was call back and advise what his credit needed to be OR ask of someone was willing to cosign; ANYTHING to try to help (referral, advice, more questions etc). We were only inquiring. My father is a Vietnam war vet and a retiree of the Long Island Railroad (30 years). Clearly these people want good credit only. No call back so now I'm left to assume they were being selective. I'd rather move him back North where I got calls back and kinder treatment. I was apprehensive about going to urgent care so close to closing time - worried I could not get great care. It was around 3PM and the place closed at 4PM. Boy was I wrong. The service here was impeccable and despite it being last minute, the physicians assistant were patient and did multiple tests to rule out all potential issues with my heart. The front decks check in was simple and the attendant greeted me with a smile. The medical assistant was kind, attentive and thorough. Overall, great experience here. I left confident that every rock was turned before diagnosing me. The icing on the cake is that I got a call a few days later to make sure I was feeling better. I should have known by the filthy floors and overrun trash bins that this would be an awful experience. The office staff was nasty, except for the young man who remained professional and kind during the mess he helped resolve. The front desk people displayed such nasty and ghetto behavior, it was appalling. Long story short, it took me a full half-day to get my script submitted. They took absolutely no accountability for the lackluster service delivery, and I missed out on a full day of sightseeing.
