From the moment my oldest (now 10) was 3, the instructors patiently worked with him (sometimes as he was literally running around the mat) on self control, discipline, and confidence, and to this day I am amazed at his step by step progression from listening and focusing better, to increasingly raising his hand and volunteering, to more recently becoming part of the junior leadership team as well as the junior demo team (which he loves so much, I don't need to ask him to practice). My son also received personal support from the head instructor in dealing with bullying, which now my son can confidently deal with. The instructors are truly caring and supportive, and genuinely want to see their students grow and learn; they also instill a passion for learning and continuous self improvement in their students, and the focus on grit and resilience that is woven throughout the curriculum is so crucial to learning life skills. I now have all three of my children at the school and am a student myself; it is truly our "third place" and I am so grateful for the community here at Action. I love how my kids and I have each made new friends at the school, and we look forward to seeing all the families at Action Karate's many community events. Here are just a few of the reasons: * Quality - Cha's provides great quality instruction. I have visited some schools where a 3rd or 4th Dan (degree) black belt would not have the skills of most 1st Dan black belts from Cha's. * Schedule - while many schools only offer classes 2 or 3 times a week, Cha's offers classes 6 days a week, and on many of those days it is possible to choose from 2 different class times (or attend both). This gives you flexibility for scheduling conflicts, and allows students interested in advancing quickly an opportunity to take many classes each week. WHF is literally saving my life. I had a bad CT Calcium score which indicated the arteries of my…read moreheart were very plaqued. I had many tests in follow up to that test, most recent one an echo stress test. The whole time I did the test ,which was 10 mins on a treadmill, the team told me how well I was doing and told me to keep doing what I was doing at the gym, it really showed.
