It's been held at the John Q Hammons Center and I always look forward to attending. The ballroom is beautifully decorated, ample parking, great sound system, chairs outside the ballrooms to rest your feet. I brought my friend who has never been inside & he marveled at the size & wants to plan his office party there. The staff also offered to take some photos of us acting silly because even though this is a schmancy event, normal photos are boring.

Upstairs looked really nice. We were seated in a basement dining room. Low lighting that made it really hard to see, and a strong mildewy smell when you came down the stairs. I couldn't smell it at the table, but several of our guests could. Our waiter was attentive, checked on us for refills, did a great job. The guy who ran food down was great, as well. On to the food... The cheese dip we ordered was great. The fried shrimp were tough, but the hush puppies were really good. Pretty pricey for nine shrimp and two hushpuppies, though. The masa on my tamale was thicker than I expected, and the pork filling was dry. The chili on top was fine. My cheese enchilada was good, and my guacamole tostada was fine. The chicken taco was awesome. Everything was VERY small, though. The green chili rice was clumpy, stuck together, and had absolutely no flavor. On the other side, the pinto beans were great. Others in my party loved the pickle fried chicken taco and the steak taco. Tuna tacos were not enjoyed, and my wife's pork nachos were just plain unpleasant. I had very high hopes, but left disappointed. Maybe it was just an off night. Service - 3 (our waiter was great, but the hostesses were SO rude.) Ambiance - 2 Food - 2 Would not go back.

The service, friendliness of the staff & the quality of the food were EXCELLENT!!! The venue was quaint & perfect for our wedding/reception of around 80 people. If you are looking for OUTSTANDING customer service, people who actually care about their product/service and making your event all that you want it to be, book with them! You won't be disappointed! I can't say enough about how amazing they were! My day was PERFECT & I would recommend them again and again!
