I always see night staff going into the store. It's closed to shoppers like me. A few Saturdays ago, I was running errands. I had a late lunch at McDonald's and then got groceries at Fresh Co. Parking was busy. I parked roughly two rows away from the entrance. I walked in and grabbed a cart. I like this supermarket. It had everything that I needed. The produce was fresh. I was pleased with the celery, avocados, and apples that I had picked up. There was a sale on all things Pillsbury. The crescent rolls were cheaper here than at Walmart. I was impressed. This store has a nice assortment of jaffa cakes. I remember learning about them on Sesame Street as a kid. I was happy sinking my teeth into my first orange one years later. This store made me so happy seeing them in orange, cherry, and blackcurrant. The frozen food section is amazing. Momos. Potstickers. Samosas. Pillsbury Pizza Pops. Naan. Drumsticks. Beer. I was so happy. I felt like I had won the food jackpot. What was sad was seeing how many cracked eggs were in cartons. It makes me wonder how they got to this state. I ended up passing on eggs here and hit Shoppers Drug Mart instead. Other than not putting a bunch of Humpty Dumpty eggs back together, I loved shopping here. I had a pleasant woman at the checkout. I got my Scene card scanned to earn points. I then paid with a credit card. Done! I bagged everything. I thanked her and left with my groceries. After putting them away in my car, I returned my shopping cart and left. It was nice to finally visit this grocery store. I look forward to shopping here again when it's daylight and I'm in the area. It was so juicy and delicious (and huge!). It came in vacuum sealed packaging for easy storage in the fridge or freezer, but we devoured it the same day. They also have various deli meats, cheeses, milk, and butter. Their freezers are stocked with various pre-made meals which look very tasty and worth trying on a busy night. Ended up leaving with three awesome sauces, one flattened whole Piri Piri chicken and a hot sausage. Cheryl was helping us today and she was just lovely! We can't wait to go back and try all of the delcious looking meats!!

I tasted the oil on its own and realized it had a strange, old, off taste -- something clearly wasn't right. It might've been expired or gone bad somehow, even though I had just bought it from the store. So I did what any reasonable customer would do -- I called the number listed on the bottle: Pristine Promotions Ltd. in Toronto (416‑259‑3737). What happened next was extremely disappointing. Instead of listening to my concern, the man who answered immediately got defensive, started talking over me, and insisted his product is "number one" and that they "never have problems." He wouldn't let me explain my issue. I told him I live in London, Ontario, and I asked if there was a way to send the bottle back -- maybe a shipping label or return option, since it was clearly defective. But he refused. He was rude, aggressive, and unprofessional, saying it wasn't his problem and that I'd have to drive it back to Toronto myself. When I calmly said this isn't good customer service and that I might leave a review, he mocked me and said: "Go ahead. Leave whatever review you want." This is not how a food company should treat a loyal customer who simply received a bad product and tried to handle it respectfully. Businesses that stand behind their products know how to handle issues with basic courtesy, responsibility, and respect. Sadly, this was the opposite. I won't be buying from them again, not because of the olive oil -- but because of how they chose to handle a real concern. That tells me everything I need to know.

They "try to avoid GMOs" in their animal feed. At the end of the day there are so many fantastic new butcher shops opening up that pride themselves in transparency. Give these guys a pass, the company has gone to the dogs since someone from Loblaws became the CEO. Glorified middleman that you pay a premium for, that is all Rowe Farms is now.
