There is one common area soaking pool, with jets, as well as a clothing optional sauna/steam/smaller pool on each respective side (men side & women side). The experience was amazing and came with the package for our hotel. The whole spa was very therapeutic with soft music encompassing all the rooms. The staff was very friendly on entry and gave us a tour and instructions on where to go and how to secure our stuff in the locker rooms. The robe they let us use was very soft and doubled as a towel for after the hot tub session. We were allowed 30 mins of hot Tub time before our massage and it was amazing. The hot tub area is reserved so only your party is allowed for the time selected. Personally I would've like it alittle hotter but it was still very warm. The view from the hot tub is absolutely amazing overlooking the large body of water and trees. After the hot tub, we relaxed in the waiting to dry off where we were picked up my our massage therapists. David was excellent and was able to apply the perfect pressure throughout. He was knowledgeable about different techniques and how they worked, which was interesting. I highly recommend it. read more

I am a fan of the spa at Salishan. Located across the highway from the hotel. It has its own small parking lot. Calming fountain entrance reminds you to relax your mind when entering. I had called too late to book a couples massage, so I had to book 2 separate massages. Arrived on time and led to the locker room and given a tour of the facilities. The last few hotel spas I have attended, I have been disappointed by the additional amenities, but I was very pleased here. I loved the coed outdoor infinity whirpool & relaxation room. I was fortunate that there were very few patrons there and had it all to myself. Both overlook the peaceful Siletz Bay. As for my massage? Very good. This is the most beautiful and peaceful spa I've ever been to. You cannot top the corner windows looking over the bay while relaxing in a robe by an earthy fire. I checked in about 1 & 1/2 early for my appointment and soaked in the hot tubs and saunas and then cozied up with my book in the hearth room before my service. My massage was amazing- so relaxing. After my massage I returned to the heath room and relaxed and read for another half hour before hitting the wet sauna one more time and getting a shower and getting dressed and heading back to my room. Wow, wow, wow. What a WONDERFUL afternoon. We arrived early to our couples massage and relaxed in the single sex locker room sauna, steam room, and jacuzzis then at the outdoor jacuzzi with a perfect view to the bay. We ended our pre-massage visit with a hot shower and some refreshments by the fire in the hearth room before being called back for our 90 minute massage. My masseuse was Genie Keepers and she was incredible. She worked such small muscles I never knew I even had and was the perfect balance of gentle and firm. I came out so relaxed and would love to make more regular visits to the Salishan just to treat today's experience. read more

I have come to Salishan over the years for a treat, I live locally and have received massages and facials. The facility is gorgeous. I'm writing this review due to the facial I had today. It was by far the best one I've had here. Raina was my aesthetician and she is a master at her craft. The facial massage was incredible, like none I've ever had. Please do yourself a favor and book with Raina! Your face and body will be so glad you did. I purchased a manicure for $85 and I was extremely unsatisfied with the quality of the polish. I got the manicure in the afternoon and it had already chipped by the evening. Then, the polish started to lift and peel off on multiple fingers. I am very very very disappointed. For a high end spa, this should not happen. The polish itself was streaky as well. This was the most money I've ever paid for a manicure and I was hoping it would have lasted more than 6 hours. I will say the spa facilities were great and I would recommend going to experience that. But do not waste your time on an extremely mediocre manicure. read more

This is easily my favorite spa ever. Candi is my favorite.... she gives the best facials. I even have a membership for a facial place at home and I still come here 1-2 times a year. The facility is beautiful- right on the Siletz Bay. I am a huge fan of the outdoor infinity hot tub- usually I come an hour early to soak in there and enjoy hot tea. The locker rooms are clothing optional but you need a swimsuit for the co ed outdoor hot tub. There is also a nice waterfall shower. The prices are a little steep but the facilities and experience are worth it. It would be nice if they served alcohol or a light food menu- but that is my only complaint. For the number of couples massages we've done here alone, I should've rated this place long ago. That said, hubby and I have always been pleased with our massage and I've done a facial which was also wonderful. The facilities here are what really set this spa apart. A beautiful setting with full windows everywhere overlooking the water, and the co-ed spa is covered, but open air - the perfect option on those rainy coastal days. The fireplace room is the ideal place to lounge, relax and read with, again, the full length window views of the water. With private showers, lockers, and my own bathrobe and slippers, the pampered feeling extended thru my entire stay at this delightful oasis. Loved it and will go back any chance we get! read more

Had a great weekend in Lincoln City and went for a massage to work on a pinched nerve, hoping it would help. Scheduling was simple - got me in the day after I called. Upon arrival, I was provided tour of the spa. It is very nice. Great jacuzzi in men's area w view of water. Wish it was a tad warmer. Probably 101-102. I like a good 104-105. Spent some time w jacuzzi and rain shower (which was awesome) before meeting my masseuse. Paula came to get me and asked a lot of questions. I was very specific about my pinched nerve and ability to take pressure. She heard everything I said and provided a 5 star massage. They have an outdoor coed area that I didn't have time to use - had to catch a flight. But looked nice. SPAMAZING! Marge greeted me and showed me the facility and how to use the services. I was the only guest that arrived in the morning so I had the soaking pools all to myself. They were the perfect temperature. One infinity type pool is outside and has a vista view of Siletz Bay with a light breeze, and birds singing. Relaxing music plays outside which helps reduce the road noise from the nearby highway which can't be prevented:) The spa facilities are spotless and top notch. My exfoliating scrub helped remove summer skin build up and the 60 minute deep tissue massage was the best I ever had. Usually I spend the first 20 minutes of a massage wishing for different pressure or for the provider to move around but she was absolutely an expert. I've been to many spas throughout the country, and this is my favorite! I'm lucky to have a vacation home nearby and treat myself occasionally throughout the year. The spa is not very large, but they do a great job of managing guests so it never seems too crowded. The common areas are beautiful with great views of Siletz Bay from the outdoor infinity tub and the "serenity room". The locker rooms have a great jacuzzi tub, sauna and steam room along with a couple showers and plenty of clean towels. I've had facials and pedicures here but usually come for the deep tissue massage. All of the massage therapists are top notch and very professional. All of the staff here is very professional and they work hard to keep the place very clean and the locker rooms well stocked. I'll continue to visit the Salishan Spa again and again!! read more

Went with my wife for a pedicure on our anniversary weekend. Now I have never been to a spa or a pedicure before and was unsure of what to expect. The decor and spa was amazing. Very comfortable and relaxing. Our service was great and I was so relaxed and enjoying it. That was until a salon customer came in for a service just a few rooms down. The rooms are open and there is no door and the walls do not go up to the ceiling. The stylist decided to play country music and here conversation with the client completely drowned out any of the relaxing music and killed all of the relaxing environment. Thankfully it was for only the last 15-20 minutes of our service. I would have walked out had it been from the start. read more

One of the best spa experiences I've ever had (and I've visited a few!). The spa feels luxurious, relaxing and the staff were really friendly. Upon check in, I was greeted warmly and offered my paperwork to complete before the tour. Upon getting settled, I used the hot tub in the women's lounge (clothing optional) and then had a massage. The massage therapist was kind and asked about my pressure a few minutes in to make sure it was what I needed. I asked for extra attention in some areas, and got just what I needed. After my massage, I used the facilities for several hours, including the sauna, outdoor hot tub (not clothing optional) which overlooks the Bay/nature preserve, and the "hearth" room to read and sit by the fire while looking at the ocean. My only complaint would be about the drink options. I'd like to suggest reusable mugs for spa guests, as it feels warmer and it less wasteful than the paper ones there. I'm sure the dishes could create noise and would create clean up, but that's easy to figure out. I'd also like to see fruit in the ice water stations to uplevel the experience, as well as some natural hot cocoa and apple cider options (both were artificially flavored). Prices are normal for a European style spa, which can be on the pricey end depending on what you're used to. Make it worth it by hanging out after your treatment! read more

Although I have limited exposure to massage/spas in general I have to rate this one top notch based not only on my experience, but the experience of my wife as well. She has had multiple massage and spa experiences. We were greeted in the lobby of the spa and given the forms to fill out regarding general health and then led to our respective lockers where sized sandals and a robe awaited us This one has basically everything I would expect at a spa, starting with a huge outdoor hot tub overlooking the Siletz Bay. In each locker room, male and female, there is an additional hot/soaking tub, a dry sauna, a steam room and a rain shower for cooling down instead of a plunge pool (at least that's what I think it is for). After using all the above mentioned amenities we retired to the sunroom which has lounges overlooking the bay or chairs surrounding a gas fire pit and read some of the supplied magazines while awaiting our masseuses. Did I mention they supplied plenty of fresh towels everywhere, lots of ice cold water and even hot water to make a cup of tea? They really think of everything. And then to the best part; a side-by-side massage for me and the wife. She had the Coastal Classic and I the Deep Tissue massage. Anita gave what my wife described as "THE BEST MASSAGE I'VE EVER HAD". Now that's saying something!! Sara performed a great job on my massage as well, never overdoing the pressure, but pushing it to the limit of what I tolerated. It's almost as if she read my biofeedback somehow. Unfortunately, the hour passed entirely too fast. We were allowed to relax with warm towels on our feet and wrapping our faces, afterwhich we went to the showers and got ready for an evening out. They provide most everything I needed including all shampoos, body washes, conditioners, spray deoderent, Q-tips, combs, razors, aftershaves, etc and the list goes on. Same I'm told for the women. Give this a try when you're staying at Salishan, or heck, just come down for the day. It's well worth the drive. read more

I had an amazing coastal massage with Darcy. I have to admit as a massage envy member I was hesitant to pay over double the price for a 1 hour massage but it was definitely worth it... And I'll definitely be back for more services. For one the Spa is amazing, from the gender separate sauna, steam room, and infinity tubs, rain shower, and attention to detail on looker room necessities... to the co-ed outside tub, to the hearth room with lounge chairs, fireplace, relaxing music, and blankets... To the tea selections (they should add chamomile or a relaxing caffeine free tea choice), and infused water, and light snack options... I'd happily pay a $40-$50 day fee (I do not know the day fee price or if there is one, I am just saying I would gladly pay this price) just for access to this soothing environment. The massage was amazing though, the table raised and lowered (cool!), they used a very nice oil, a heat pack is placed on your back, there is a special cream for your foot massage. Your feet are then wrapped in a warm towel. When laying on your back a warm towel goes under your neck and a scented cloth goes over your eyes (very relaxing). I plan to get a full package around my birthday. This experience has made an emotionally trying day as relaxing as it can get. I can't wait to come back! read more

I have been here quite a bit whenever I need to relax. But I can only speak for the massages because that is the only service I have done. Every massage I have had here is mediocre. Unfortunately, they don't do a great consultation before the massage and actually ask you what you want from the visit and it's not very personalized. It's definitely a place you are paying for use of the facility, which has a great view and all of the amenities. I will eventually try other services, as I do enjoy the little get away. read more

This spa is the perfect destination for hitting the reset button. It has two qualities that put it into nirvana territory for me: 1) It is so quiet! There are no groups of cackling people; they do not overbook. You won't be fighting for a lounge chair or longing for earplugs. The staff silently pad around like ninjas, maintaining the still ambiance set by the expansive view of the bay. Guests are free to take in the view, flip through magazines, or snuggle up by a hearth fire until the peace sets in. Lovely! 2) The staff are top notch, too. They are dedicated to taking care of every detail. Case in point: after lounging in the outdoor spa that overlooks the bay, I looked down to see that the water was eating away at the elastic in my swimsuit, from a fluke chemical imbalance. I cleaned up and laughed it off, and enjoyed the rest of my stay. But when I casually mentioned it to the front desk at check out, the staff member apologized profusely and pulled a new swimsuit right off the rack! That is customer service, and that is why I'll keep coming back. read more

Sorry. One of the worst pedicures I've ever had. The spa is quite nice. Beautiful really. The nail tech was a sweet person but did a crummy job on my French white. And did not put enough coats on. And she was so slow. When I pay top dollar for a pedicure. I expect much much better than this. And have had much much better pedicures at lower prices. Last time I paid this much for a true spa pedicure it was fabulous. This was NOT. And I wouldn't recommend it to anyone read more
