    Special Steakhouse Burger
    Alexandra F.

I am debating between 3 & 4 stars. I couldn't finish the burger and didn't feel great after eating it but it's probably just me because the burger was just too rich. I really should have gone with the chicken or their one (I believe they just had one) vegetarian option. It was their special steakhouse burger with A1 sauce, sautéed onions and crispy onions. I was super hungry so went all in and then ate about a third of it. I didn't even want to save it for later. I like that they make everything to order and the folks were really nice. Looked like there was some heavy grease or tar dripping down the outside of the food truck that wasn't so appetizing. I went at a weird time between Christmas and New Years and they were doing a steady business so maybe I just chose the wrong item. Hopefully I'll get over this last visit and try them again, or maybe we'll go to the area again with my husband and he can get a burger and I'll try the Mexican restaurant around the corner!

    Jalapeño Steak Burger

Some of the best burgers that I have eaten. The toppings are always extremely fresh and the burger is cooked perfectly. Get plenty of napkins because they are a little messy but hey, this isn't McDonalds or a happy meal so enjoy. You get chips with the burger but no option to get fries. Hopefully that will change in the future.

Walk up food truck with awesome foot.

We were headed straight for…read moreone of our favorite restaurants in Blowing Rock and then on the way I said, nope, starting now we are venturing out more like we used to. New experiences this next year and starting now! I searched online while the hubby drove and came up with this spot. I ordered the three-meat plate which included two sides and hushpuppies, and my husband ordered the fish and chips (shocker-Brit!), which also included two sides of his choice. He raved about the piece of fish and after taking a bite, I had to agree. A nice thick piece and the breading was just right. Nice fries as well. I didn't try the beans but my husband enjoyed them. I wasn't as enamored with the meats I received. They were just ok as Q goes, lacking any smoke flavor or crunchy bits like I prefer. The sauces were delicious though and while I'm not usually much of a sauce person I enjoyed them and as a result enjoyed the meats. The slaw and collards I had were again just ok. Points for being house-made, but I adore cole slaw and this slaw is a bit dry and needs some oomph. A little Duke's and ACV would make this amazing. A nice crunch and chop is already there but I would tweak it a bit. The collards were cooked perfectly and tasty but again, ACV is needed. Maybe even just add it to the sauce mixes on the table, so folks can doctor their dishes if desired? Why a photo of the silverware you ask? I was so happy to get real silverware and heavy, substantial pieces! It elevates my experience, just me maybe. As I was grabbing a few more photos of the bistro I noticed a nice bourbon selection, and being a bourbon aficionado I had to get closer. I had a nice chat with the owner, who explained a special weekly event he does for folks to try some premium grade liquors at cost and even went on to explain that he makes most of his infusions and mixes in house. Big points for that. I only wish we didn't live over an hour away, but maybe we can get back for some cocktail events at some point. I would/will definitely return and try some other menu items. Service was great, cleanliness is clearly high on their list, and everyone was just super nice.

5 Stars! 10 if I could. I didn't expect a food truck, to turn into one of the most memorable…read moreexperiences I had during my 1st visit to North Carolina, But that's exactly what happened at Taco Bros in Greensboro, NC. First off, this isn't just a random food truck. There is such an incredible story behind it. It's run by Gary and his best friend Alex, who have been friends since grade school back in Mexico City, Mexico!! You can feel that deep history in the way they run their business. There's a level of trust, energy, and authenticity that you don't usually see, and it trickles down to the entire team!!!Every employee I interacted with was genuinely happy, welcoming, and proud to be there (which says a lot) especially during these times. They've also set themselves up in some of the best spots around. I visited : 1) Summerfield Farms. 2) Oden Brewing Company. At both locations, you're not just grabbing food, you're getting a whole experience! Plenty of parking, plenty of seating, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. Live music, dog friendly. The menu is simple, affordable, and done right. We got to try 4 different tacos, their queso dip, and their churros, and everything delicious! The meat was seasoned to perfection, super juicy, and full of flavor without being overcomplicated. But what really made this experience unforgettable? I got invited onto the truck to make my own churros!! let me tell you, that is not something you get to do every day. It was hands-on, fun, and honestly one of the most unique experiences I've had, collaborating with another business. By the end of it, it didn't even feel like a transaction anymore, we became friends! Taco Bros isn't just serving food, they're building up thier community. And that's something you don't come across often.

We saw this truck outside of Condon Yards Courtyard during an event. My daughter loves food trucks…read moreso we had to give it a try. Overall the truck seemed very clean and hygienic for a food truck. The staff was incredibly friendly and organized. The food came out quickly and was piping hot. The prices are a bit high which is common for food trucks. Guac and chips was $10 and the chicken quesadilla was $14. One thing that would have been a nice touch was Jarritos. The chicken quesadilla was good but could have used a bit more seasoning. It was good sized and stuffed full of chicken, onions, peppers, and cheese. Overall we enjoyed Taco Bros and would definitely try them again at another event.
