We have no complaints from what we ordered. Chicken tikka, frittata, chicken chili, asparagus, baked rigatoni, and brownies. Everything was perfect and even came with accompaniments on the side! Oh how blessed I am , Recently my fiance and I have been dealing with a medical issue that has taken most all of our time. My staff, being as considerate and thoughtful as they are, pitched in and ordered meals from TSR to try to alleviate yet another burden as we dealt with so many other things. I received a text 8 mins prior to delivery, which came right on time! Food was delivered and I was amazed at how much food there was. We had 5 meals and sides with desert. Portion sizes were amazing and the flavor of each of the dishes was very good!. There was only one of the five meals ( the meatballs and marinara sauce) that did not really suit my taste, but all other meals were delicious. Although my staff ordered these meals for my family and I (for convenience) I would DEFINITELY order from TSR again for convenience, taste and service. A MUST try! read more

TSR is so so close to 5 stars. The meat portions seem a bit inconsistent. Ideally, I would say a small, but adequate portion would be 5oz, a generous portion would be 7.5oz, and a satiating/average/healthy portion would be about 6oz.... I decided to try The Spicy Radish, due to multiple members of my household getting sick and needing specialized care, leaving little time/energy for those who were healthy, including myself. When I would finally make it to the grocery store, I would draw a complete blank on what to get for feeding my family, and dirty dishes made me want to cry. Restaurants, even really good ones, became a burnout, and besides, we didn't want to have to leave the house every time we wanted a real meal. Enter The Spicy Radish. Meals start at $13/serving (2 serving minimum=$26 for 2), but go up about $6-$8 per additional serving (3 servings=$32-$34). The meal options are healthy and once put together, the plates of food are bright and colorful. Assembly and cleanup are super easy. There is clearly lots of thought put into the food pairings. The flavors, textures, packaging, & instructions are spot on. The food, while having the right spices- nutmeg, mustard, cumin, etc.- is left 'under salted'. A decision which I feel is quite intentional and right. I am Le Cordon Bleu certified. One thing that should be stressed in the kitchen, especially when cooking for unknown persons, is that food only needs a touch of salt to allow the flavors to cook together properly. When it comes to 'salting' the food, it is best to not guess about people's preferences, there is always salt on the table. To me, TSR under salting shows real kitchen knowledge. Tasty, visually appealing food, delivered to my door, easy assembly and virtually no cleanup!...Then there is the meat portions. I ordered a chicken pot pie for 3. In the entire thing, I bet there was maybe... MAYBE...1 split chicken breast. For 3 adults?! The volume of protein really needs to be about 25% bigger, to be proper for an adult. The chicken gyros probably had a total of 7oz of chicken in it. 3.5oz of protein/adult! That just is not a serving. The weight difference seems small, but 1.5oz of meat is the equivalent of 1.5 jerky snack sticks, or 40% of the total! an amount that does not go unnoticed in a meal. I found myself giving my husband almost half of my protein serving, when possible (not doable w/chkn pot pie), leaving me with a very unsatisfactory meal. If they were to increase protein (meat, not quinoa) by 15-20%, I would probably order 2-3 meals/week from them. As it is, I will order from them in the future, but it will be more sporadic. I do see the value of rotating in some 'home-cooked' food which I am not solely responsible for shopping/cooking/cleaning. *UPDATE: I just went to assemble the last meal of the delivery, SW Chicken Bowls. When I pulled the container of chicken from the fridge, I could tell by the way it felt that it was much heavier than the container of chicken for the gyros. To my trusty food scale I go! Sure enough, the chicken inside weighed 9.8oz. Close enough to 10... I just received the menu for this week and decided to play around with servings/price. When I had what I wanted; 2 meals@2servings, 1@3servings, and 1 dessert, which I typically don't do, my total was $92 (delivery, tax, everything). I felt like meh, getting out of the grocery store for under $90 is hard, then I have to plan, cook, clean... if this order is consistent with at least 5oz of meat/serving, I will be happy. If it was consistent with 6oz/serving, they would hands-down get 5 stars, and lots of money from me. read more

Where have you been all my life? I just received my 2nd order today. My first order was so amazing that I was bummed I couldn't order the next week because of Labor Day. I wish I had known about Spicy Radish sooner. Everything is fresh, delicious, and made with simple real foods. Ever so grateful to fellow yelper, Lindsey K, for recommending this business to me. As someone who loves to cook (and eat!) but hates eating tons of leftovers, this meal delivery service is a perfect way to eat "homemade" w/no cleanup. Step 1: get on the website or email list Step 2: click on "order now" when you get the email. Order between Tues and Thursday. Step 3: pick which dishes sound yum to you. Minimum order per entree is 2 servings. Step 4: note in the delivery comments if you need a specific time range. ask for a time frame you will be home, or leave a cooler bag with ice packs at your front door. Step 5: wait eagerly for Sunday to arrive. So far, I've enjoyed their chicken pot pie, flank steak served with twice baked potatoes, crispy parm crusted chicken served with quinoa, roasted acorn squash, arugula salad, and winter minestrone with turkey meatballs. It has all exceeded my expectations in flavor. I can see myself using this service on a super regular basis! Ha! I almost forgot to add why they are a 5 star for taste AND service. Today, I had an order delivery scheduled for 11-1p. I had a busy day yesterday and also last minute got called into work today (day of delivery). While at work, i got the text that the food had been delivered. Well, FML, b/c I forgot to leave a cooler bag out. I figured it was $50 down the drain. Nope. Came home to a cooler bag with my food inside, still chilled. I had been upset at myself for not leaving a cooler bag, and would not have been upset with them if they had just left it sitting in the bag. The Spicy Radish makes it easy for me to provide healthy, satisfying meals for myself and my kids and the food is delicious and fresh. We just ordered the salmon and potato cakes from last week's menu and I could eat them for days, they are so amazing! The food is well packaged, the directions are simple to follow and everything you need is included, and delivery is always on time. Thank you to The Spicy Radish for helping me avoid working-mom guilt by being able to provide "homemade" meals to my family! My husband travels quite a bit, and as a busy professional, and not the primary cook in the family, dinners for my 2 kids tends to end up being pasta or eggs, or even cereal, when he travels. The kids love it, I don't. I love that Spicy Radish gives me options to put a relatively healthy and complete meal on the table for my kids in the time it takes me to get through helping with homework. Their online ordering is super easy, the deliveries are always on time with lots of reminders, and the food is easy to toss in the oven (or microwave). The food is good, it's nothing that I couldn't make myself, it's just the convenience factor of having it pre-made and ready to pop in the oven that I love. The portions are good; I always order two and it's usually enough for my kids to share one especially if I provide a little of our own fruit or whatever on the side. My only complaint would be the few items we've tried have been a touch on the bland side, not sure if that's a factor of what we've ordered or to keep it appealing to the masses. Also, a note about the instructions: make sure you read them all the way through before turning on the oven and tossing stuff in! I made the mistake of not doing that, and realized only after heating the meat that I should have tossed in the side dish first as it needed longer to heat up. Silly, but when my reason for needing these meals is because I'm already running at Mach speed in the evenings, I would like the instructions to be listed in order of prep times. All in all, a great option for those who don't cook, but want home-cooked food to serve. Or those who don't have time to cook, and don't want to deal with those other meal services where they prep the ingredients but you still have to go through the process of actually cooking it. The Spicy Radish will likely remain in my rotation to continue feeding actual wholesome meals to my children when hubby is traveling (or when I know hubby and I both have a particularly busy week coming up). To me, though it's more expensive than drive through, it is about the same as fast casual, but enjoyed at home and at my convenience, and much healthier- perfect and worth every penny! read more

Let me add another five star review for this amazing business. Being recently plagued with long work hours and very little time to cook, I yet again fell into the trap of eating Chipotle every day and started seeking out "alternative" meal delivery services. I started ordering from the Spicy Radish based on the Yelp reviews here and to say I was impressed was an understatement. The food manages to hover somewhere between "homey" and "four-star gourmet" which is a welcome relief in a city that is still a little too plagued with "mediocre plus" dining options -- i.e., you go out and spend $25 or more for an entree only to realize you've had, at best, a "B+" dining experience. The very first meal I had from Spicy Radish was an open-faced steak sandwhich on parmesan bread with herbed butter corn that was downright sublime and I've been hooked ever since. Their forays into Mediterranean, Mexican, and Italian foods have been equally impressive and their serving portions are definitely true to size (I'm 6'4" and have a huge appetite and can safely say that "two portions" is, in fact, two full meals.) For $14/entree, you can barely eat a fast food meal for the same price as an entree from this place! The only slight caveat I'd offer is that most of the food is probably best consumed within three days after reception. Some of the options marked "freezer friendly" are just that, but often contain fresh ancillary ingredients as well. Also, this food really does taste best when you follow their heating instructions, which _usually_ entails an actual conventional oven (but I have no choice but to "cheat" and often use a microwave when I bring these to work -- it's still delicious, but just not _quite_ as good.) Point being, I wouldn't necessarily plan on ordering from them and then freezing the entrees under the pretense of eating them sometime in the next month (but this isn't a critique -- just more of an FYI). Overall, it would be difficult to go wrong here and this comes with my highest recommendation -- and, last but not least, you're supporting the sort of local businesses that are helping to make our city so colorful! Some weeks, I know I'm just not going to have time to deal with groceries and cooking. I think this is better than eating out, and it's easier too. The food is good (some things are better than others) and is really similar to how I cook - a meat and some veggies. It's easy to bring for lunch at work or have around for dinner. We have been ordering 2-3 meals a week from Spicy Radish for the last few months and love it! They email 4-5 meal options on Tuesday, orders are due Thursday, and the food is delivered to your door on Sunday. Their prices went up this week with no notice, which is a bummer, but probably still worth it. The sauces and dressing are yummy. I like the variety. I am not impressed and very disappointed. When I found this service I was delighted to have found the answer to my dislike for cooking. The food was just ok and I definitely would have ordered again to give it another chance for the convenience but... the first meal was so-so and just enough for a small portion each hungry 2 hrs later, our second meal was barely enough for 1 adult male- 2 chicken breast equaled about the size of one & side dish barely had enough for 1 serving I had to forfeit my dinner, third dinner was ok good portion but mainly rice and lettuce, 4th small portion and not that good. But I still would have given another chance and order again. butt...the next week, when I go to order, the prices went from $23 for 2 servings to $26 to $28 for 2- servings so I waited another week and prices are still $26 to $28, way overpriced for what you get. I have been using another home delivery service for over a year that you cook yourself, their food is excellent 5 star chef quality and healthy portions and comes delivered in awesome thermal packaging and it is only $19.95 for 2 servings no shipping cost if you order 3 meals and yes I have to cook them but it is still easier to cook them than coming up and cooking my own and the end results are worth every minute they are delicious and rewarding that you just cooked a 5 star meal. I was going to use Spicy Pickle for the other 4 days so I didn't have to cook. Very disappointed really hoping this would work but I can order "in" for less than that with better food, reasonable portions, and it is delivered already hot. read more

I cannot say enough great things about the Spicy Radish. Their customer service is excellent. Anytime I have had a question or concern, they are on top of it. When we weren't at the house for delivery, they left a cool pack to keep the food cold. The food is always delicious and I don't think my husband and I have had a well balanced meal in a long time.
