Dr. Hohl is an excellent surgeon and his Physician's Assistant, and office staff are amazing. I highly recommend!

When I went for my first appointment, I was surprised that there was no typical "wait time" that I have become accustomed to when visiting a doctor's office. I was seen within about 5 minutes of entering the office. Dr. Dickerson looked at my x-ray's from the ER and showed me why he recommended surgery to bring the bones back together and put in a plate to hold them there. Not only was he able to see me quickly but he was able to have me into surgery later that afternoon. Not only did he do a great job of putting things back together, but the follow-up visits have also been prompt - the staff has been great, and I am grateful that my leg has healed with no complications. Thank you, Dr. Dickerson

The result - a entire month (over Xmas and New year) in hospital getting multiple clean out surgeries, two deductibles, a year off work and eventually, knee replacement. I understand the ever-present risk of infection - my problem is with the complete lack of care, risk management or even a polite response by Dr Heiden or his team. Be careful!!

I attended what should have been a straightforward follow up appointment for an already-approved lumbar ablation procedure. Dr. Doxey was rushed and dismissive from the start. When I correctly informed him that because my care is covered through an auto accident claim I had been told by staff that I did not need the second diagnostic test, he repeatedly talked over me and ignored my accurate information. When I told him the procedure was already approved, same thing -- he just kept repeating his own point without listening. The most upsetting part: he walked out of the room while I still had questions about my ongoing daily pain. I asked the nurse to bring him back. He refused. I am a paying patient with serious documented medical conditions. I was not asking for anything unreasonable. I simply wanted my questions answered. Being treated like an inconvenience rather than a person in pain is not okay. If you are considering Southwest Spine and Pain -- go to Saratoga Springs and ask for Brittany Hemmingway or Braden Jex. They are wonderful. But I would strongly caution anyone, especially women, about seeing Dr. Doxey at the Holladay location.

First visit they hadn't even looked at my records that I had sent over from previous provider. Recommended I try Lyrica then wouldn't refill prescription without a dr. visit. Told me I would have to have a doctors visit every month to continue to receive. RIPOFF. Lyrica is a schedule 5 and legally does not need office visits to continue to prescribe. Told me they couldn't give me the records I had sent over even though they become a part of my medical record as soon as they have them. Vote of NO confidence and looking for another provider
