I was impressed when I first went in to see Dr. Dickerson. I had broken my fibula on Christmas…read moreday, and even with the usual backlog after a holiday weekend, he was able to work me right after I called in. When I went for my first appointment, I was surprised that there was no typical "wait time" that I have become accustomed to when visiting a doctor's office. I was seen within about 5 minutes of entering the office. Dr. Dickerson looked at my x-ray's from the ER and showed me why he recommended surgery to bring the bones back together and put in a plate to hold them there. Not only was he able to see me quickly but he was able to have me into surgery later that afternoon. Not only did he do a great job of putting things back together, but the follow-up visits have also been prompt - the staff has been great, and I am grateful that my leg has healed with no complications. Thank you, Dr. Dickerson

The result - a entire month (over Xmas and New year) in hospital getting multiple clean out surgeries, two deductibles, a year off work and eventually, knee replacement. I understand the ever-present risk of infection - my problem is with the complete lack of care, risk management or even a polite response by Dr Heiden or his team. Be careful!!

I would not recommend Dr. Auger…read more At my initial visit, she was friendly and seemed knowledgeable, so I trusted her recommendations. In hindsight, that trust was misplaced. She recommended custom orthotics and had me sign an agreement stating that if my insurance did not cover them, I would be responsible for the full cost, about $350. I agreed, assuming this was standard and appropriate coming from an in-network provider. Later, I learned that because Dr. Auger is contracted with my insurance, she should have only been allowed to charge me around $180 for the orthotics. Despite this, she did not honor that pricing. While I understand I signed the agreement, it felt unethical for an in-network provider not to follow insurance guidelines. When the "custom" orthotics arrived, I was charged an additional $80 simply to pick them up. The visit consisted of walking back to an exam room and placing them in my shoes briefly, no fitting, adjustment, or meaningful evaluation. After wearing the orthotics for several months, my foot pain actually worsened. When I contacted the office to schedule an adjustment, I was told I could make another appointment. Given my previous experiences, I called ahead to confirm whether there would be an additional charge. At that point, I was told Dr. Auger would refer me out to another provider. Between the high costs, lack of improvement, and being referred elsewhere for follow-up care, this experience was extremely disappointing. I ultimately spent nearly $600 and months in pain. I hope sharing this helps others make a more informed decision.
