I'm not a local - I'm a tourist, visiting the Lincoln sites and looking for lunch. That said, my impression of The Stadium Smokehouse is that it's a bar that serves food. As a bar it appeared to be a neighborhood hangout and is probably pretty good. As a BBQ restaurant, not so good. The service was OK, she was fast and attentive. The sides (cole slaw and potato salad) were right out of food service tubs. The French fries were OK. But you come to a BBQ restaurant for what . . . BBQ. The Brisket was probably cooked days ago and kept in the refrig. The waitress said that they slice it and throw it on the flat top to heat it up. Yea, it also dries it out and gives it a hard crust. The smoke ring and taste was OK, you just had to drown it in sauce to soften it up. My wife had smoked turkey and it was exactly the same, good smoke ring, interesting taste, but dry and hard from the flat top. The only thing interesting was the sausage made out of burnt ends that was really good after I fished it out from under all the cheese sauce the drowned it with. Who puts cheese sauce on smoked sausage? Ball park franks maybe, not smoked sausage! The only reason for even two stars was the service and the sausage. read more

I like this place came here day time and evening for meal and drinks. Food has a good selection of bar styled foods and pizza the wings are a dollar for smoked or traditional style. Went in there at 10 AM for breakfast the waitress gave us water and menus told her we wanted to order breakfast. Waited for 20 minutes and she never returned. Another waitress walked by three or four times and totally ignored us. read more

Our waitress was amazing. Very accommodating and friendly even though we were a large group. The food was hit or miss. They were out of brisket and we didn't get ranch with anything, including the pickle chips. The chicken strips were over cooked and one person got the wrong side. I've been here before and I liked it. This was the first time I had any of their bbq and it was not good. The brisket was like beef jerky. I think they put it on the flat top to warm it up and it was way overseasoned and dry. The ribs were cheap and extremely tough and also overseasoned. I only ate about half of my plate. The Mac and cheese side was chewy and the cheese sauce was bland. I also ordered coleslaw and asked the waitress if it was good and she said it was homemade. It was warm. I sent it back. This might be a good place to drink and get a burger or other bar food but this is not a bbq place. Disappointing when you have smokehouse in your name. read more

This was by far the worst meal I have ever had.. i've never made a review for any restaurant but after that platter I felt the need. Service was very good, that's the only thing that made me not drive my truck through that joke of a place. The ribs were inedible. My corn on the cob was practically frozen, fries were horrid. Came here over the weekend while visiting some family in town. We sat in the beer garden in the back, as it was the perfect sunny day. We grabbed some $1 beers and appetizers to share. The onion rings were delicious! Mozzarella sticks were lacking in flavor. My fiancé and his brother loved the chicken livers and gizzards - they said they were the best ones they have had at a restaurant before (we came here specifically for them). Overall this place seems like it has just your typical bar food, nothing too crazy. Everything was super cheap and service was good. Would definitely come back! read more

Food is great here everything I've ordered has been fresh and delicious. Service is always terrible, the server is normally a bartender and she won't give you the time of day if you aren't a drinker, even if there is very few people in the place. I've had a different server every time I've been there and it's the same thing. The price is pretty good but the seating isn't great and it's always very loud in there with the music and the people at the bar. read more

The old blond? behind the bar was clueless and obviously intoxicated. We waited 45 minutes for our appetizers and we finally got up and left only paying for our drinks. We stopped in mainly because there was literally nothing else in the area. I ordered a chicken cheese steak minus the peppers and with America instead of the Swiss that it came with. When it came out it was a regular, not chicken cheesesteak. When I told the waitress, her response was... "oh, do you just want to eat it and I just will take it off the bill?" I responded, "no, this is not what I ordered" So she put in the order again, it took about 30 min for it to come out and when it did, it had the peppers and Swiss cheese on it. Touring the land for local eats. Was there with a few co-workers and grabbed an open table. There was one waitress taking care of the entire lunch crowd---and she was hauling ass to fill drinks and take orders--kudos to her mad skills while trying to keep everything straight. Who got a little too excited to see fried liver and fried gizzards on the menu? Yep this chick right here. Definitely not something that folks typically look for---but for some reason I needed it in my life with a side of hot sauce. Pass on the chili---not sure why I thought a basket of fried things and a cup of chili would be a good idea for lunch---yeah not so much. The chili was super oily. I had a great experience here. The tables were clean and someone took my drink order before I even sat down to my table. Refills were poured, food was great and came quickly. The staff were very friendly. My bacon cheese burger was really large, probably a 1/3 lb patty if not bigger, cooked to medium-well perfection. This would be a great place to head to after a day at the fair. It's right across the street on Peoria Rd. We were researching and shopping for pizza to be delivered as a mid-evening snack for a wedding reception. Upon someone's recommendation we checked out this establishment. The service was excellent (timely and friendly), the pizza was great and the price was reasonable. WORST BUSINESS EVER. Let me explain. After about a 20 minute wait without being acknowledged of being there (5-10min wait is understandable), I had to get out of my seatand head up to the bar. Asked the bartender for 2 beers and told her we have been waiting over 20 minutes for someone to even say hi to us. Shes gives me a little lip and told me "what do you expect", which i promptly told her I expected someone to ask if I would like something to drink, let alone ask me what I would like to eat. She takes my order and gives me the two beers and I head back to the table where my significant other is at. Soon as I sit down, the OWNER, Toni, came right to me and said, and I quote, "after those beers, you guys can take a hike." Shocked, I asked for my money back for the beers, which he threw at me, exchanged a couple words and left. NEVER have I, or anyone in my lifetime, been treated like this at a business by employees, let alone the OWNER of the business. My review is based solely on the pizza. I have never eaten in here and I have only had the pizza 2 times. Someone brought it to us at work 1 day and it was so good I used a delivery service (Mr Delivery) to order it again 4 days later.
