They are one of the few companies in my area that will deal with my complicated geothermal system. They have also worked on my mother's basic residential system, my hot water heater, and some plumbing repairs at both of our houses. They are always quick to respond, fair with pricing, and I have never had a problem with any of their work. At one point I had a home warranty and they even did battle with the home warranty provider to help get work covered. (Home warranty providers do not like covering geothermal systems!) The company stands behind their work and they have proven themselves to be an honest, customer-oriented company. My mother is in her 90s and I trust them completely to take good care of her even when I am at work. They are good people and completely dependable.

    These people are unprofessional, unresponsive and will flat out rip you off. They knowing did…read morewarranty work yet still billed us for every job instead of billing the manufacturer. Then they claimed they would give us credits and lied about that as well. Placed service call Tuesday and then followed up Friday and said they were too busy. Yet miraculously somebody shows up Saturday morning so they can charge overtime. Replaced Toilets that did not need to be replaced. Bottom line is they are one of the most horrible contractors we've ever dealt with. Should be ZERO STARS

    I have owned my home for a little over three years and have regularly used AirSouth for HVAC…read morerepairs and maintenance. Unfortunately, I have experienced recurring AC issues almost every year around May. Last year, AirSouth informed me that my evaporator coil and filter dryer needed to be replaced. I paid approximately $2,300 for these repairs, trusting the work had been completed properly. At the end of May this year, I came home to find my AC unit frozen. I immediately contacted AirSouth and was told a technician would come the following day. The next morning, however, I received a call stating they would not be coming out as scheduled. Since my home was without proper air conditioning, I contacted another HVAC company for assistance. That technician inspected the system and discovered the filter dryer appeared faulty and possibly had never been replaced, despite AirSouth charging me for replacing it the previous year. The technician added refrigerant temporarily and advised that the filter dryer needed to be changed. Before authorizing additional repairs, I contacted AirSouth because they had supposedly replaced the part already. AirSouth later sent another technician to inspect the unit. During the visit, the technician admitted I had been charged for replacing the filter dryer even though it had apparently not been replaced. He also stated the evaporator coil installed last year was leaking and claimed it would need replacement again. When I asked about warranty coverage, I was told the one-year warranty had expired. I then sought another opinion from a different HVAC company. Their technician discovered the issue was simply a loose connection near the evaporator coil causing refrigerant to leak. He tightened the connection and resolved the issue without charging me thousands for another replacement. As a single mother, I cannot afford repeated expensive repairs due to poor workmanship and incomplete service. I am extremely disappointed in AirSouth's handling of this situation and their refusal to stand behind their work.

I purchased a new unit less than 2 weeks ago. The salesman, Joseph, made many promises, none of which have been kept and now my unit does not work at all. It is likely a small issue with the install, electrical, etc... Doesn't matter. This is a $20k unit, and yes I overpaid. I knew it was too much, but I assumed paying a premium would get me premium service - the opposite has happened. I'm on the 2nd day of no A/C and it's 82 degrees today. They have failed to show up THREE times as of right now. I have taken off work and canceled plans to be here, and apparently, they were not even going to tell me they were not coming. I had to call when the appointment window had passed to find out. They claim to have a 1 year "test drive" period in which they take everything out and refund you, but I have no confidence in anything they say. We are about to find out if that's the truth or not. This situation is pathetic and sorry. To charge so much and to have a grown man stand in my living room, look me in the eye and lie to my face about what I should expect is abhorrent and shameful. Please, call someone else. Anyone else. I don't see how it can get much worse than AirSouth.
