Came here to pick up some good green tea loose leaf tea. Lots of novelty stuff here too. We also tried a few Hatch cold brews - little pricey but the lemon one was super flavorful - strong lemon taste and the vanilla one was the same - very good vanilla kick. The Maple Oat mini can was delicious as well! Staff were super friendly and once they noticed us checking out he Hatch drinks someone told us all about the drink. Boyfriend also bought some coffee flavor syrups which he is excited to try as well. We tried the creme brulee latte - very sweet but good flavor. This is a delightful little coffee café. It's in Brooks downtown. There is free street parking and less than two blocks away I found a spot big enough for my vehicle and trailer - it might even be legal! For WiFi they only had the generic Telus but it works. The ambience is ideal; our table had foreign money under glass. The café has five tables and a small bar area. For food the choices are limited but still tasty. They have a couple of choices and they heat them up for you. I had the breakfast sandwich and it was quite good. Service was top notch. Friendly, and efficient. My wife enjoyed her quiche too. The coffee, a regular brew, was good, not spectacular but certainly good and better than you'll get at any non-coffee specialty shop. So all and all if you are looking for a good coffee and maybe something to munch on, I can recommend that you stop in at The Steaming Cup. read more

The Steaming Cup is a cute little coffee and sandwich shop in downtown Brooks. It is exactly what you'd expect from a small town business in the best kind of way. Great food, great service, no fuss. I've eaten here twice so far and both times I enjoyed delicious sandwich on homemade bread and great coffee. This time I opted for their egg salad sandwich and the February special: a "rose-kissed white mocha". I'm a sucker for rose-flavoured anything so I naturally loved the latte. On the other hand, I'm not a huge egg salad fan so I was a bit nervous about this order. Luckily I had nothing to worry about! Their egg salad is great! It is fresh and flavourful. I highly recommend the Steaming Cup for anyone looking for something more interesting (and better tasting) for your coffee and lunch needs than Tim Hortons or McDonald's. read more

We are staying in Brooks while visiting Dinosaur Provincial Park and today we had the pleasure of finding The Steaming Cup. My 11-year old son said he wishes we could transport this place to Atlanta, GA (where we are from). We had cappuccinos, a butter tart, and a hot chocolate. Everything was delicious. I always try to look for local cafes in every city and I think this is the only one in Brooks. Eye-Soothing Ambiance - Nice, cozy looking interior. If you want a quick pick up, the counter is just at the entrance. Or you can order and sit. Limited seating, but well arranged for the space available. Loved the wooden tables with glass tops and stuff filled in the medium. Great Service - Once you order, sit back and relax, your food/drinks come to you. Friendly staff :) Interesting Menu - Chai, Latte, Smoothies or just regular coffee - A beverage for everyone. I ordered a Vanilla Chai - as smooth as the mug it came in. Their bubble tea was recommended to me by a friend, which i am planning to get when then next time I visit this place. This place is amazing! The have very yummy bubble teas and smoothies! I would recommend this place for a nice place to talk and have fun! They have cards and a checkers board to play, and also music! The design is very cool, especially the tables! Come to this place! The prices are very reasonable and they have wifi too!
