I had Botox for the first time about a week ago. I was really nervous and not 100% sure I wanted to go through with it. I had an amazing Reiki experience with Lewis Ortiz at the Stillwater Spa. I admit that I was a bit skeptical about Reiki as I always thought it was a little "woo woo" for my taste. I have now become a believer! I have a very stressful job (and who isn't stressed with COVID) and this treatment was wonderful for easing tension, relaxing and later energizing me for the next several days.It was remarkable to feel the energy in certain parts of my body presented in heat spots so clearly. I booked a deep tissue massage but left with my shoulders still in knots. I marked and told the massage therapist I like deep pressure. The pressure seamed like she was just rubbing oil on my skin. I wouldn't even categorize it as a Swedish massage because the swirl hand motions were not relaxing. The amount of oil used was crazy. No towel was left after to wipe off all that oil. Wonderful experience! We were actually staying at the Gaylord Rockies Resort, which has their own spa, however after seeing their prices I decided to go elsewhere, and that was a great choice! I had the 30 minute Herbal foot soak, 60 minute massage, and 60 minute facial. (This is a package.) I went back to Stillwater Day Spa today for the first time in a few months and they've expanded. Doubled in size and added services. Sign that they're doing it right if you ask me. Anyway I have chronic back issues and every time I go here I get instant relief until I go and do something dumb like trying snowboarding at 48 years old. Today I decided to try something I'd never had done before... Ortho-Bionomy. Shelly was my therapist. I couldn't be more pleased. It didn't feel like much at first... usually masseuses must dig pretty deep into my tissue to offer relief but this was gentle and while fully clothed as well. Upon completion of the service I was standing upright again and all my pain was gone. I would give this place 6 stars if it would let me. Everyone from the owner to the staff are incredibly friendly and kind. Don't drive far and ruin your afterglow from a service with a bad commute. Everything you need is here in our neighborhood. Right from the beginning when I was calling to book, everyone was so friendly and positive. I had a few questions about my facial and got to speak directly to my esthetician. Stillwater is the most amazing spa I've been too. The staff is so attentive to the customers and Lewis is so kind. I have been privileged enough to go to spas in Cherry Creek, high end spas in Vegas and in cruise ships, and believe me when I say Stillwater is better than all of them. You don't get a 50 minute massage because they count the time you get undressed and dressed you get the whole 60 minutes, no charges for hot stones or aromatherapy, the therapist use every tool available to ensure you leave relaxed and your muscles feeling great. Olga works wonders if you're looking for a good hard pressure and Mike is great for relaxation. I have to admit I was caught snoring this visit. Located somewhere between new housing developments and king Soopers along the invisible county lines of Brighton, Henderson and Commerce City lies Still Water Day Spa, an oasis of relaxation tucked away in a medical and business office strip. Upon entering i was greeted by the owner of the establishment who is very polite and welcoming. You are handed a packet to fill out like at a doctors office so that they know what you are putting on your skin as to not cause any unwanted side effects with the procedure you are going in for. My aesthetician was very pleasant and professional. Detail oriented and made sure i had the best experience possible. After experiencing a few days of tightness in my lower back, my wife scheduled a hot stone massage for me at The Stillwater Day Spa. We had just gotten a brochure from a friend and the spa was only a few minutes from home. We were treated like family the moment my wife and I walked in the door. And the massage itself was amazing. Alisa worked on several of the knots in my back and glutes that had built up over the years and was able to get them to release. I felt very relaxed after the session so I scheduled a few more. After another hot stone session, I had the Thai massage with Mike. Wow! The hot stone massages loosened up the muscles and the Thai massage was able to get those deep down knots. I was sore in a few places for a couple days after (which I was expecting), but was able to stretch more than I had in several years. My wife and I happened upon The Stillwater Day Spa in part due to its proximity to home, but we wouldn't hesitate to drive much further to get to it. I started coming here for lipolean/b12 injections and now, 2 months later have gone in for multiple massages (they offer anything from quick chair massages up to 90 minutes, full body) and even recently took advantage of a special and got a facial. The staff are absolutely wonderful and the owner appreciates every single customer who walks through the door. Whether you spend $10 or $100, they are grateful for your business and treat you like family. I suggest you go and check them out. I think that any business, Big or small, who does a great job should be recognized.
