So when we moved here, we were happy to discover the Natomas Farmers Market. Although it isn't as large as the Davis Farmers Market, we've still found plenty of wonderful local farmers and small businesses to support. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed, with people strolling from booth to booth, catching up with neighbors, and browsing the seasonal offerings. We've even discovered a few local farms we like enough to visit directly. There's something special about knowing where your food comes from and supporting the people who grow it. We also enjoy exploring the other local vendors, especially the bakery. Sometimes we arrive looking for fresh produce and leave with something from a bakery that we never planned to buy . It's hard to resist when the air is filled with the smell of fresh bread and pastries. The market has become a favorite weekend stop for us. We can walk around, see what's fresh, chat with vendors, support local businesses, and enjoy some fresh air and community spirit. After so many years of the Davis Farmers Market being part of our lives, it's nice to have something similar here in Natomas. We only wish it were open year-round instead of being seasonal.

These are a bit drier and denser than the other tofu products. They are wide and thin...almost ribbonlike. They're a byproduct of the tofu-making process. Rather than toss them, there's a vender here that bags these irregular bits and sells them, cheap. I like them because the are a bit chewy and textured. They don't fall apart during cooking. They hold up to being sliced in shorter pieces and stir-fried. One bag is enough for several meals Many bargains can be found here if you're adventurous enough to try new-to-you fruits and veggies. I recommend making a pass-through of the whole market before making purchases. Prices can vary from vender to vender. You can save quite a bit of money getting your produce here rather than at the regular supermarket produce department. That's if you are flexible in which veggies you purchase. But... no refund ever comes. I text again after more than a week goes by without seeing any refund and get no reply. I am not sure what their deal is. I'm very disappointed and frustrated by the experience and hope it will eventually be resolved. The worst part of all is my brother missed out on this potentially cool gift that I spent time researching and thought would be so fun and unique.
