It was clean, it smelled good, not like when you walk into an old gym and everything smells of sweat and who knows what. The machines were well maintained and the art work was awesome. It was 10AM on a Saturday and no one was there. There is access to the gym 24/7 with a membership ($30 or $35 a month). They have cardio machines and a lot of weight equipment. I was nervous but ready to go! I met with a personal trainer since I am no where near my goal. His name was Judge. HOLY, there was no messing around. We got to work and worked the entire 45 minutes! There was little rest and he kept my muscles and me focused on the task at hand. Super kind and very motivating. By the time I left I couldn't wait for the next session. No nerves, no intimidation just motivation! I noticed the gym didn't have a Yelp review, but I am telling you if you are looking for a low key gym, who surrounds you with good people and good equipment or if you need a trainer ($35/session for 1 (group rates too)) OR you are into competing, want to reach a goal, etc.... this is the place to come. Despite moving to Montana for a terminally ill family member, we were told "too bad, a contract binds you" and my membership fees are continuing to be charged. I think a little grace and kindness in a hard situation goes a long way, I'd be writing a much different review on this gym (which we liked) but the owner isn't a cool person, not understanding, and greedy. He obviously needs the money more than he needs a good reputation in the Owasso area. BUYER BEWARE!

I'd grown to understand exercise as the necessary punishment for a lifestyle high in carbohydrates (aka as a young adult I was raised on a diet of overpriced bootcamps), and the greatest discovery at Total Pilates was that exercise could (should?) actually function therapeutically. Did you know you could "look forward" to "working out"? Through migraines and aches and pains and ups and downs this place has kept me from going unhinged. Lisa (owner) has assembled a gifted team. Given my sensibility I work primarily with Jeanie, who was originally described to me as an architect of pain but is actually more like a shaman, or a highly skilled orthopedic specialist? Have you ever taken an exercise class from a radio personality? Now that Pilates is my singular personality trait I've visited studios on both coasts. We are spoiled to have access to this team and the space. I insist on bringing people here when they visit town.
