And, if the studio owner was someone other than Rebecca I just might have. But I can't and here's why... First off, the space if beautiful. Much of the original architecture is intact and it dates back to the 19th century (for real). If you're looking for a very unique space to shoot in, you'd be hard pressed to find better. The studio is on the top floor of the building and has a very large window that faces a courtyard and get's excellent natural light. It's very clean, spacious and there's great gear to rent at reasonable prices. I shot an editorial and two headshot clients there today and already want to make it a second home. Then there's the studio's owner, Rebecca. She's a gem. She couldn't have done more to make me feel at home and was always available to make sure I had everything I needed for my shoots. As a very well established photographer herself, she understands how important it is to get the shots you need and I haven't encountered a studio owner more warm, helpful and professional than her. The studio just opened and if you've taken the time to read this review Ruby Bird is a place you'll want to foster a relationship with as soon as possible. I'd recommend going with the pro studio as there is more space and it doesnt feel so tight. The main attraction are the CDJs and DJM, however with the regular studios you're likely going to encounter some hardware issues. Luckily their customer support via WhatsAPP is pretty quick and helpful in terms of finding you another room/refunds/etc. As a heads up, it gets really toasty in the studios, especially the standard ones, so wear something light (especially since you'll likely be moving your body to the music, and ESPECIALLY if you have other people with you). Not the best hangout spot for large groups, but, it IS just a place to practice DJing (if thats your thing). Other things to consider include the speaker quality (which could be better and not the best if you're testing out the mix/master of new songs), and the fact that the rooms arent exactly soundproof, so if your neighbor is going crazy on the decks... you're going to hear it. Best way to combat this is to blast your music even louder lol
