Even though they were two hours from my home in New York, they were absolutely worth the drive. Before making my purchase, I called with a few questions and found them to be more than helpful. When I arrived, my bass was ready and set up perfectly. The entire staff -- including the owner -- was amazing. They took the time to talk with me, made me feel welcome, and even offered me a cup of coffee. I honestly haven't received this level of service or felt this appreciated in a music store in over 25 years. Their selection of new and used guitars rivals the legendary guitar shops that once lined 48th Street in NYC. It's hard to believe Van Sant Airport is only about 50 miles due north of central Philadelphia and about 70 miles southwest of lower Manhattan. It's nestled away in Bucks county PA. It's owned by the Bucks county Airport Authority. This place is quaint, and you can walk around and see the planes and take pictures. I was taken back to see they had a real phone booth up against the building, and some old timers hanging around. I felt like I was taken back in time to 30 years ago. There is a small gift shop and this is where you can arrange for flights. They welcome motorcycle riders, and anyone who's looking to grab a piece of nostalgia. The people who work here are very friendly, and knowledgeable. It was too late in the day for myself and friends to go for a plane ride. Next time we will come earlier and plan on doing that.
