The owner, April, is truly a special person. Her love for what she does shows through in all areas of the store and staff. She is extremely responsive on social media for questions or purchases. Online shopping is a breeze as well. They run shipping like clockwork, but I still enjoy driving from Virginia Beach to downtown Edenton just for the experience.

They stand around talking the store is in dire need of help cleaning it up. They just leave things everywhere and it looks terrible and the help is awful.

I have seen the line be 8 people deep and the clerks INSIST (won't take no for an answer) to get your phone number and they work very hard to get your e-mail. Needless to say, when the line is 8 people deep, this takes a long time to get checked out. Clerk WOULD NOT let me use my credit card to purchase $120 worth of shoes UNLESS I supplied a tel number. I was miffed after waiting in line for over twenty minutes. Clerk listed as SGilbert on receipt but no way to know if that was real name. Good selection, poor business model and customer service. Should stick to selling shoes and less to gathering (and SELLING?) customer data. Zappos next time
