The couple that owns this store are extremely friendly as well. The only drawback is that the owners often go on vacation, so the store might not be open as advertised. There also doesn't seem to be a huge demand for consignment shops in Ahoskie, so the merchandise doesn't change all that frequently. That being said, the owners have always been willing to negotiate the prices of pieces they've had for a while. Though there isn't any specific mark-down system based on time, they're extremely fair in their pricing. Be sure to check out the $1 and half-off racks located in the front of the store. I've found some nice brands in these places! My favorite purchase was a brand new Jones New York dress (retail value of $160) for $27! So I drove all the way back there in hopes of being able to upgrade my purchase by using that purchase product and paying more money for another product instead of the one I purchased, which was brand new and never left the store and she said no. The manager would not allow it and she had sent pictures of the product to the manager. She sold me a used product basically that was store usage that lost one of its pieces. I don't see how the manager would not want to make more money by selling a better product even though that other product never left the store. The lady asked for a positive review and she would give me another 15% discount on my next purchase and I just mentioned I hope I won't have to come back in hopes of finding a girlfriend. I'm not sure what pissed her off but I doubt the company wasn't interested in making more money, it was just her and her attitude. Lighten up.
